Another blog
Hello fellow Dio lovers!
yes, I have not really been posting, I apologize.
Part of the reason is taking a small break from jjba for a little while, playing other games, catching up on new (to me) series, and letting my heart be open to other characters to pine for and adore other than just Dio.
Don’t worry Dio, baby, you’re still number one but just resting until you hit me full force with your neediness XD
So anyways! If you want to see work of mine that isn’t Dio, GO HERE I’m finally getting a bit more art and writing up, other random games and characters I love planned, probably some original work, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Dio spends some time there as well.
Can’t wait to see you all!~

Rebloging with my answer, because I cant make simple answers. Well, my reason for the sorta JonaDio shipping is, first off, as far as AUs go, I do adore seeing then try and behave like fathers for their sons. Because in a sense, the kids Dio has are also Jonathan's. It's an intriguing, and sometimes very angsty or adorable, dynamic they have. The two of them have personalities that can, when not killing each other, play together quite nicely. A bit of push and pull with a very soft and kind individual, and a rougher, more cutthroat one. As for canon, the ship is only half there. Dio definitely has an... interesting relationship and obsession over Jonathan. He was a rival, someone he grew up beside, and also someone who showed a strange sense of caring (if one wishes to interpret it as such). "An odd warmth" I think Jojo put it while on the boat before dying. And from what I read into, Dio never truly considered the Joestars his family. Just people who took him in as a charity case. So is it love Dio feels for Jonathan? Complicated. There are feelings, and Dio doesnt quite understand love himself I'm sure, so as far as he's aware it is, and odd infatuation at least. So yeah. I like JonaDio personally, and it has it's time and place (as does my love and self shipping with Dio, but that's a can of worms you aren't asking for XD ). Its for sure a different ship, but being fiction theres no harm unless people abuse the right to fiction and expression.
jonadio question
hi jonadio shippers I have a genuine question? Why do you guys ship jonadio? Don’t take it the wrong way I’ve just been told since joining the fandom that you shouldn’t since they’re adopted brothers but I’ve been seeing a lot of jonadio content lately. I personally don’t ship them but would like to know why people do ship them.
please don’t hate anyone in the comments <3

Random Dio Headcanons
Since it seems people do want headcanons, I’ll start doing some random ones for Part 3 Dio (and possibly others) as I know him, and answer peoples questions if they ask them to me
His eyes: Dio’s eyes are naturally a red amber color. After turning into a vampire, his eyes took on a bit of a cat-like glow. They’re still their amber color (perhaps slightly more red), but highly reflective, giving off a golden glow in low light.
His fears: Yes, Dio has fears. Despite being the great immortal vampire he is, he gets scared just like us humans (don’t tell him I told all of you). One of these is understandably Thalassophobia and/or bathophobia. In other words, the fear of deep bodies of water. After being stuck under the sea a hundred years, it’s mentally scarring, and not something Dio would want to experience again. So while he’d never admit it, he’d rather not get near deeper water and it brings him far more anxiety than he’d wish.
Something he likes: On a lighter note, Dio is fond of scented candles. They’re a win-win. He likes candles, and candles that smell really good? Bonus! They’re perfect for his more quiet evenings reading by candlelight, and his preferred scents are the warmer spiced ones.
What do you think of these headcanons? Agree? Disagree? Want to ask my opinion about something else for Dio? shoot me an ask and I’ll try to answer if I can!

Summary: Reader bring up the topic of marriage and they both muse upon it a little.
(Enjoy!~)
You stretched lightly, the silken sheets shifting around you and the one you loved. You couldn’t count the number of nights you both would lie like this, silently enjoying each other’s company.
To look at Dio, no one would think he’d had these rather normal moments in his life. Relaxing in bed with a book and wine, someone he can talk with for hours and even let his guard down with lying beside him. To be in love, and in an almost domestic kind of situation on the occasional night. The plans of world domination, the commanding of servants and revenge lasting beyond a century, seeming almost like a distant thought. A passing dream swept away and replaced by a comforting and peaceful silence.
The sound of a page from Dio’s book had you shift tired eyes towards him, his focus solely on the heavy text in his hands. You knew he could feel your gaze as your eyes trailed his muscles up to the contours of his face and his golden hair. But he let you indulge your vision, turning the page again.
“Dio…” you murmured, breaking the silence with your voice. He slowly closed his book, setting it aside and reaching for his wine. After taking a sip, he turned to you, giving you his full attention.
“Yes, my dear?” He asked in a gentle honeyed voice. You glanced away, trying to form the thoughts and words you wanted to say.
“What are your general thoughts about marriage?”
“Marriage?” He repeated, a small raise of his brow showing you caught him off guard with the question. He shifted, turning his body to face you more. “I suppose, marriage was something I viewed in my youth as a way others flaunted wealth and their pretend joy. Extravagant weddings, for riches and political gain.”
“But now?” You shifted closer to him. Dio hummed faintly, musing the question over in his head before answering.
“This was not a topic I thought much upon now. I do not need the wealth or political gain. Nor do I need a trifling ceremony to flaunt what others already know.” Dio wrapped his arms around you, pulling your body atop of his larger frame. “And you? What are your thoughts on this subject you suddenly brought up?”
“Well,” you tried to meet his gaze, finding your eyes continually glancing away. “I’ve found marriage to be a lovely thing to think of. The thought of marriage being a visible act of love to each other, before others you find important, and the heavens themselves. A ceremony with time devoted to promising the one you love all you have to give.” You rested your head on his cool chest, feeling your face go warm with blush at the thought of marriage. “A way to say I want to be with you forever, no matter the hardships or pain that comes with it…”
You fell silent, the room quiet once more for a moment. The thought of calling the man you loved your husband. You entertained the thought many times. Wearing a wedding band around your finger, dressing in white for him and saying vows. But no, those dreams of a younger you didn’t seem to fit where you were now. You loved Dio, but he was no ordinary man. He wasn’t even a man.
“I was just curious,” You murmured, closing your eyes. Marriage did not seem appropriate for Dio. And you two already lived and loved like husband and wife. It’s a silly human tradition you could almost imagine him say. And even if you never married him officially, you would never hold back your love or affection for him.
You felt him gently stroke your hair, letting you drift off to sleep upon him.
*****
The following day, you did not make it to the bedchambers until late into the night, having spent the afternoon and evening in the garden and the bazaar. Anytime you thought of returning home and retiring for the night to be with Dio, your attention was brought to something new your escort found and pointed out to you.
You stifled a yawn, walking to Dio’s chambers after a late-night bath, the dust and sand of Egypt not something you were fond sleeping in. As you opened the door, the sweet scent of roses touching your nose. You stepped in, surprised at the sight of flowers and candles in the room. A myriad of rose bouquets and petals scattered around, and candles illuminating the room and Dio lounging with his book. The way Dio sat, gaze upon the text, you could almost had thought everything in the room was your imagination, and the place was as it always was.
“What’s with all of this?” You asked, your nightgown catching some of the petals on the floor as you walked to the bed, crawling atop the sheets towards him. His lip curled faintly into a smile as he set the book aside, turning to you.
“What do you think it is?” He asked, an almost playful teasing tone in his voice.
“A balance act between seduction and a fire hazard?” You responded jokingly, smiling at him.
“Perhaps, but no,” he leaned close, placing a rose in your hair and kissing your forehead. You giggled lightly, thinking of another answer as he pulled you down with him to lay on the bed. He gently kissed your lips, a gesture you gladly responded to. “Consider this an answer to your musings last night.”
The realizations of what he was implying hit you, your face flushing to what you could only imagine was the color of the red roses scattered about, and your words fell silent. Dio smirked, amused by how quiet you went as you stared at him with wide eyes.
“You aren’t subtle dear, I could hear how badly you wished for marriage, and I thought about it.” He took your hand, slipping a cold metal band onto your finger. “So, I accept your proposal from last night.”
“I never technically proposed,” you sputter out, your face making a stupid grin that Dio smiled back at, “but yes, I want to marry you, I really do.” You kissed him, pressing your body against his to be as close as possible. Lips interlocked, you kissed until you had to gasp for air, breathily laughing against his lips.
“Though you have already been mine for so long,” he murmurs, lazily trailing his hand down your body. “It will be undeniable, and you will be a goddess, and I god,”
“As long as I’m with you I’m happy,” you giggled, letting him shift to be above you. He kissed you again, playing with the hem of your nightgown.
“I do hope you’re alright with passing on the tradition of consummating the marriage. I have every plan to mark you as mine again that night,” he nuzzled your neck, letting his cool breath make you giggle all the more, “but it’s in no way a new act for us.”
The tiredness you felt before entering the room was all but gone now, as you kissed Dio once more. You were to be his bride, his wife, and this brought all sorts of joy you couldn’t imagine.
