Since I feel like ranting tonight I just wanna say, I think it's ridiculous that nurses can lose their license for smoking weed. Basically I can get absolutely shit faced on Friday night and show up to work Saturday hungover and that's completely fine.
But if I smoke weed 48 hours before my shift and there's tch in my urine I can actually lose my license. I haven't smoked weed in about 3 years because I am a health care worker and I think it's absolute bullshit.

ARE THE HORSE PEOPLE A METAPHOR THAT I'M NOT UNDERSTANDING? I NEED ANSWERS
I haven't been on here lately but I just watched this movie that confused the shit out of me and I don't have another forum to go off on. I can't even sleep because I'm laying awake processing this movie. Buckle up because it's going to be a bumpy ride.
The movie is called Sorry to Bother You. I watched it on Hulu. It starts out with a young man who is living in his uncles garage. He is unemployed and his uncle is also struggling with money. His uncle tells him that if he doesn't start paying rent the house is going to foreclose. The guy goes to a telemarketing company and applies to a job. At first he is making no sales and everyone hangs up on him. His black coworker gives him the advice not to sound "black" over the phone but to talk like a "white" person. After he makes this change he makes sales through the roof. This causes dissonance among his peers. When he is hanging out with his friends and girlfriend he uses his "white" voice and they find it problematic. Something happens at work and he gets promoted to head of sales. I'm sitting here thinking this movie is about subliminal racism in the work place.
There's also a subplot where his peers are trying to start a workers union for better pay and benefits, but he is benefiting from being a manager and stops supporting their cause. This definitely shows classism in the workplace.
Next he goes to a work party. His white coworkers pressure him to rap in front of the crowd even though he says he doesn't want to. He tries to freestyle and fails. Everyone is staring at him and it's akward. He ends up cussing and saying the N-word over and over again and the crowd (of white people) goes crazy. They're dancing and cheering him on. Now I'm thinking this movie is about appropriation. How white people only accept some forms of black culture like popular rap music, while overlooking aspects they see as undesirable. I was really reading into this okay.
This is when it takes a left turn and dives off a cliff. He is meeting with his boss and they snort cocaine. He asks to go to the bathroom and walks into the wrong room. He finds out they are doing human experiments on their manual laborers and turning them into mutated horses. The rest of the movie is about him getting the word out to the media about the human-horse experiments. Then his workers union has a riot and he frees the horse people and that was when I turned the movie off because there was only a few minutes left anyway and I was over it.
I just can't believe it started out so politically motivated and then flushed the politics down the drain and went full sci fi. I have never seen a movie do that before. It was really weird.

I just watched War Dogs on Netflix. Like... damn... this guy conned the US military by selling them Soviet era Chinese ammunition and repacking it and he got 7 months of house arrest. Other people get years in prison for having an ounce of weed just saying...

I'm watching a documentary about Bill Nye. I think the reason I'm such a well rounded person is because I grew up on Mister Rogers, Bob Ross, and Bill Nye.
We are respecting other people 👏 We are pursing our passion 👏 We are educating ourselves and we believe in science 👏

tumblr is such a unique experience in 2021 because it’s probably the only place on the internet, or in real life, really, where there is absolutely no point. there is no agenda, and no purpose, it’s just a place i can create this little bubble of art, and self-expression, and poetry, and live in it peacefully. scrolling through my blog and appreciating photography, fashion, literature, etc. just feels like a beautiful respite from everything outside of this website? no news no performance no productivity just pure vibes

I'm so nervous for my final in lab.... You have to perform your skills in front of the instructors on a mannequin. They give you a pass or fail grade and you only get 2 chances. If you pass you go on to next term and if you fail you repeat this term. Buuuuut our lab got cancelled because of city wide power outages and next week we have our written finals. So maybe they'll just be nice and put us through 😏😏😏😏 We have to perform them again anyways before we go to our clinicals in 4th term.

I've been having a recurring dream that I'm naked in public (i.e. at work or in the grocery store). I keep trying to find some clothes or a blanket to cover myself and theres nothing there.
I googled dream meanings and it said that I have low self esteem and I'm concerned about what other's people's opinion of me is.
Damn okay. Why my subconscious got to attack me like that, I'm doing my best 😭

I hate how in the Cruella trailer she’s all “people try to hold me down… I am woman…. hear me roar……” as though people are opposing her for misogynistic reasons and not because her primary motivation is SKINNING PUPPIES?
