Squadron 42: Now Feature Complete
From CIG: We are excited to announce that Squadron 42 is now feature-complete! As we move into the polishing phase, we’re fully focused on optimizing and fine-tuning all aspects of the gameplay experience to deliver an unprecedented cinematic adventure. To celebrate this milestone, we have gathered our core development leadership from around the globe to share what this means. Thank you for your continued support of Squadron 42.
SQ42 has been touted as ready for a number of years now. It has never been described as feature complete as we could see from the various videos that CIG has shown (or leaked) over time. At CitizenCon they finally stated that it is FEATURE COMPLETE. It is now down to polish and ironing out any remaining bugs and tweaking things. The intro clip has been shown (not the full length piece we got but in parts) over the course of the years and it has changed quite a bit over time with added dialog and changes to the way the scene played out. While no release date has been set I fully expect that it should be released at around the time of next years CitizenCon.
With all the other announcements made the next 12 months will be something to behold for the backers of Star Citizen.
