nothing funnier to me than dan howell and his audience both being constantly surprised by how much dan actually likes said audience. like dan’s always like ‘oh what is this? a sudden feeling of fondness for my fans? by talos this can’t be happening’ and the fans immediately going pikachu face ‘you like us?????’

i can't believe it's 2024, dan and phil are back to a near daily uploading schedule and when i open tumblr i see people go 'well see dan cringed at calling phil his brother, that means they're together!" like we didn't all experience BIG in 2019... life is a simulation time is a circle etc but i can't believe even people who have been around for a decade are still having bedroom discourse or relying on microexpressions filtered through layers of editing to decide whether to believe that the two most blatant glass closet case married youtubers of all time are actually in a relationship that they themselves admitted to be in

dan and phil are like two best friends who made a pact when they were younger that if they didn’t find anyone else by the time they turned 30, they would just marry each other, but because they rarely go outside, they forgot to look for other alternatives, so I guess they’re stuck with each other now 😔

I know "walkable cities" is considered a buzzword and urbanists are increasingly seen as preachy liberal wonks, but we're literally right. If you spend enough time in an American city outside the literal bubble of your car you will see people carrying groceries along the shoulders of freeways, running for their lives to cross a street, or waiting for an hour to catch a delayed bus. If you read local obituaries about pedestrian and cyclist fatalities, they're not white tech bros in spandex but people in redlined neighborhoods without proper sidewalks. You spend enough time trying to own the urbanist nerds and oops, you start condoning a status quo that is overtly cruel and racist.
