SMALL HIATUS NOTICE ! i ended up slicing my finger pretty bad on the slicer at work today, and i now have a huge wad of gauze around it. it’s on my ring finger of my dominant hand, and i have about five stitches in it. i’m not too sure how much time i’ll have to take off, at least a week, cause writing is gonna be impossible on my laptop. this shut HURTSS. you can of course reach me here or on discord though!!

equal  parts  glorious  and  morbid   –––––––      SAM’S    BECOMING    WAS    BEAUTIFUL.             hannibal’s  eyes  fall  towards  the  boy      &        he  watches  him  try  to  stand  ;          the  pool  of  blood  he’s  kneeling  in  is  thick  and  syrupy  like  tar  and  sam  falls  slightly.        a  hand  strikes  out  to  take  him  by  the  elbow ,     gently  pulling  samuel  up  so  that  he  could  get  a  better  look  at  him  .           

it  isn’t  disappointment  that  floats  to  the  surface  but  an  expression  of  quiet  pleasure,  a  wily  look  that  said  something  dangerous.                       ❛❛        why  was  franklin  in  the  house,    samuel   ?          ❜❜

hannibal  glances  to  franklin’s  corpse  on  the  granite  flooring ,     facedown  and  splayed  out  like  an  ugly,   bloated  animal .      the  smell  of  blood  is  overwhelming.      poor  samuel  is  covered  in  it,    hair  heavy  and  stringy  with  the  stuff.

   ❛❛        i’m  deeply  sorry          –––––––      i’ve  taught  you  everything  but  what  to  do  with  the  body  after  .  .  .    haven’t  i      ?       ❜❜

          sam  didn’t  even  know  this  was  something  he  had  in  him,  but  franklyn  caused  that  fight  or  flight  reaction  out  of  the  young  boy  —  and  judging  by  the  gore  all  over  hannibal’s  dining  room,  it  was  obvious  that  sam  had  chosen  FIGHT  amongst  the  other  choice.  

          when  he  stands,  it’s  like  a  baby  doe  on  ice  —  he’s  slipping  around  in  the  butchery  when  he  stands,  attempting  to  reach  out  for  hannibal  once  he  sees  him.  ❝  he  wanted  to  see  you.  he  was  pissing  me  off,  a - and  then  he  said  something . . .  and  then  all  i  could  see  was  RED.  i  was  so  angry.  ❞  

          blood  drips  from  his  chin  as  he  leans  into  hannibal’s  touch,  swallowing  thickly  as  hannibal  helps  him  from  the  sea  of  blood  —  the  poor  boy  beginning  to  slip  again,  stepping  over  the  MESS  he’s  made  to  lean  into  the  psychiatrists  body.  ❝  i - i  don’t  know  what  to  do . . .  i’ve  never  done  this  part  before.  y - you  usually  do  it  all.  ❞  samuel  is  starting  to  PANIC  now,  the  stench  of  blood  so  overwhelming  it  threatens  bile  to  surge  up  his  throat.  ❝  is  he  really  dead  ?  ❞  as  if  the  blood  still  steadily  spewing  from  franklyn’s  throat  wasn’t  a  dead  give - away.

not many people are invited to stay after class at all. even less are allowed to sit with will graham and throw popcorn around, making a mess. however, sam has always been a good student and a good kid. in truth, will doesn’t mind the company. 

“I remember those books. I used to put off readin’ them till about the last couple days before a big exam on ‘em. I was a bad procrastinator for that sort of thing in school. uh, don’t get any ideas though.”

he glances towards sam; there is a brief smile. 

“anyways, I just mean that it’s easy to get stuck on things. watch out for that, all right?” 

tone grows quieter. he turns his attention back to what he’s doing: reading a case file. a pause, and then he adds, “and quit wasting all that popcorn.” 

          a  smile  continues  to  toy  on  the  corners  of  sam’s  lips,  successfully  catching  the  piece  of  popcorn  in  his  mouth  —  and  he’s  turning  his  attention  back  to  will  with  a  look  of  TRIUMPH  on  his  features.  ❝  i  was  a  real  stickler  in  class  ;  i  mean,  i  still  am . . .  i’d  always  have  that  book  finished  by  day  one  —  my  mom  was  a  real  stickler  for  making  sure  i  was  a  good  student.  ❞

          the  student  smiles  then,  tossing  a  piece  of  popcorn  in  will’s  direction.  ❝  remember  last  year  when  i  gave  you  my  final  essay  a  month  before  you  actually  wanted  it  ?  yeah,  i  don’t  think  ya’  gotta  worry  too  much.  ❞  the  wide  smile  on  sam’s  lips  falters  when  he  mentions  his  mother,  and  he’s  replaying  will’s  words  —  it’s  easy  to  get  stuck  on  things.  ❝  yeah,  you’re  tellin’  me.  ❞

          sam  decides  to  sit  forward  then,  trying  to  PEEK  at  the  case  file  that  will  is  currently  nurturing.  ❝  i’m  not  wasting  any  of  it  !  ❞  even  though  he’s  gotten  maybe  four  in  his  mouth  and  the  rest  all  over  will’s  floor.  ❝  what ’ cha  got  there  ?  ❞
