She sounds simultaneously epic and precious, hard-headed and soft. I love that she’s falling in love. That sounds like such a beautiful journey for her to go on. It’s always beautiful for characters on the ‘dark/rugged’ side to have to learn how to lean into their softer side and be vulnerable.

Ahhhh. Yeah that sounds really tough. That’s a lot to have to deal with. Going in the opposite direction of your father. Having expectations while in the spotlight. Being different from the rest. Very intriguing conflict for her to have to maneuver through!

oh my god i love her character design so much. The pink eyes and green hair are really unique choices and they pop out so beautifully. And thanks for the essay reference!!! I will totally check it out!

That sets up a very interesting and depressing reality. I can totally understand why she’d feel super lonely and out of place. There would also probably be plenty of room for bullying and taunting to take place, since she’s so young and inexperienced, plus the added question of her human heritage. That’s really interesting! Are her parents around? Has she ever made contact with them?

Omg she sounds so precious! There's a lot of very interesting factors in this. Learning to love herself, learning how to make peace with her self destructive powers, coping with the loss of her memories, becoming a thief. I love that she's flirty and outspoken, probably as a way to cover for her low sense of self. Also highly love the 'punch first and ask questions later'. Reminds me of the character Vi from Arcane.

I have been ALL over the place. I’ve been mainly writing and performing poetry at a local open mic. Became a resident artist. Been painting a lot. Made a new pen name so I can publish things without certain family members judging me. Might make a tumblr for it, might not. But if you have instagram, it’s PennelopeSun

Um um um I got an art publication in a literary magazine? Not out quite yet.

And I’m starting my fifth year in my bachelors degree. Close to graduating. Honestly trying to figure out grad school stuff. And I got a new part time job at a stadium and a new full time internship in sustainability

I find it personally offensive how many bad writers can get published so easily.

The trick is that they're all self inserts. Every character you write is an expression of some understanding of yourself, or desire for something better, or a million other things. It all comes from you.
