I honestly don’t care if people don’t like/support fur farms. I just hate the complete lack of nuance in the fur debate. Just because some farms are bad/poorly regulated doesn’t mean all fur is automatically bad. Even if you take the stance that all fur farms are bad, there are still plenty of other options. 

A coat trimmed with cheap Chinese raccoon dog fur is not on the level as one trimmed with fur from a wild coyote killed for going after a farmer’s livestock. A luxury fox fur on the catwalk is not on the same level as a seal-skin coat made by indigenous trappers and craftspeople. A coat made from furs produced in a country with poor welfare regulations is not on the same level as a vintage mink coat that’s been around for decades longer than many of us have been alive. 

Just because some fur comes from unethical places does not mean all fur does. Also just because you personally don’t feel like you need to wear real fur doesn’t mean it’s the same for other people. Many people live in places where fur is essential. Saying no one needs to wear fur anymore is incredibly ignorant.

Cylum's Romsets (my personal favorite - not fully complete sets but heavily curated, so no going through a million revisions of the same game)

for 1fichier directories, you can use a tool like 1fichier-dl to download in bulk. i'd recommend doing this on the alvro collections if you want more complete sets.

netplay:

wanna play with your friends online?

fightcade covers nes, genesis, pc engine, dreamcast, along with a variety of arcade boards from capcom, snk, sega, and konami. it has snes as well, but it has input/performance issues. all platforms on it have rollback netcode.

mednafen covers psx, saturn, pc engine cd and sega cd, and i find its snes performance better personally. delay-based netcode with server structure. here's a pre-packed version with a gui included and here's a netplay guide i largely wrote myself.

other than that, dolphin is naturally used for gamecube/wii, and project64 with the AQZ netplay plugin is used for N64.

games are great. go play some games.

i feel like for me it’s the language shift from “creatives” to “content creators” which takes the focus away from the person and what they’re doing and puts it on the output of their work. and somehow even with the same root it takes away the actual act/process of creativity

I’m not a classicist, but I suspect one of the reasons so many of the Greek gods are portrayed so unflatteringly was less because they were seen as villains than because they represented their domains.  Of course Zeus sometimes misuses his power, that’s what a king does.  Of course Artemis’s wrath is wild and painful, that’s what nature can be.  Of course Hades snatched away a young girl from her mother’s arms, that’s what death does.  This is one of the reasons callout posts for some gods comparing them negatively to ‘nicer’ gods are kind of missing the point.

Too many folks don’t know that Musk is not an engineer. He is not an inventor. He is not a creator. He is a person whose fortune began with enslaved human beings pulling emeralds out of a mine. He is a person who has literally bought everything, including his titles and status in every company all these dummies believe he founded.

He is NOT a good person. He is a rich person, and way too many people think they are the same thing.

If he had ANY seriousness about making a single thing better in this world for the uncountable number of human beings who are suffering right now, and not just getting attention or cosplaying as Tony Stark, he would have done it by now.

Way too many people admire the myth, while they ignore the truth of the shitty billionaire who smeared a literal hero who saved children’s lives as a “pedo”, because Musk’s ego got bent out of shape when he couldn’t make something the world cared about all about himself. He has numerous children, who he has just abandoned. His factories are consistently reported as being toxic, racist, environments. And all these folks are like, “yeah but rockets.” Do you even hear yourselves?

He’s awful. All these things y'all claim he’s “making” are coming from actual geniuses who do actual work. He could fund all their work, and really change the world in meaningful, tangible, immediate ways with his fortune, without being the poster child for fragile male egos. But he doesn’t. And way too many people are totally cool with that.
