YGTB rant

First I wanna say, you know one reason why Hanbin is so hardworking? Because of his members. Nothing motivates him like being responsible for them, having to be their leader. And that’s been like that since WIN (“With the weight of not just my life but five others on my shoulders”).

I think with his talent+influence at YG (writing so many songs for other artists apart from all the iKON ones) he could’ve easily done more solo activities, but for him, iKON always comes first. Him being the great leader he is is a big part of why I like him so much!

And the thing is, with teams/units constantly being broken and switched up in YGTB, no one can really take a role like that. Trainees (apart from Treasure A) just don’t have the time so form such connections, cause you can go from teammate to opponent so quickly with basically anyone.

Remember how in Mix&Match Hanbin’s team kept winning, no matter which members he had with him? That’s cause a good leader takes care of you and gives you that extra push you need to reach your full potential, no matter how skilled you are. I think some trainees who don’t fit the leader role could really use someone they can depend on, someone who can bring the best out of them.

Why would you make four different teams, if you’re just gonna rip the members apart anyway?

(And about the temporary leaders: just cause someone ranked first as a soloist, they aren’t gonna be a good leader by default. YG should’ve known better.)

Anyway YG, good luck choosing the leader for the new group, cause you’re really not letting anyone show their full potential in that regard…

I wasn’t really sure of doing a long or a short post, just for the fact that you’ll never actually read it and that you’ll never find out that someone out there wrote a letter for you in a language that you don’t know really well. Yet, I really wanted to be here this day, just for you. I’ve waited all year long to celebrate this day once again, since last year I wasn’t as present as I would’ve liked to be. That kept me really hyped up about it. I want to say so many things, so many hidden words, things I wanted to say to you but got caught up in my throat before I could even react, things that made me feel a bit clumsy everyday just by thinking about it since I’ll never be able to express them correctly. God, how I wish I could turn back time and not having so many regrets about it. It makes me so so happy to know you’re doing good, that you’re happy, healthy and that every day that goes by you reach a new goal in your life, that the love your fans feel for you is mutual and that you show yourself just as you are without feeling scared of what people day. And honestly that’s what I love the most about you. I feel so entirely happy that I got to help in so many projects to get you guys achieve what we’ve all waited for. And seeing you crying and in shock really moved something within me and made me want to do more for you. And how I said the day I started officially became a monbebe, I promise to give all of me to see you as happy as you were that day. And on this very special day, I want to thank you for giving so many good moments, for making me laugh, for making me cry out of happiness and out of sadness, for making me sing out loud, for giving so much of you in every performance, for making me fall even more deeply in love with your passion and kindness and not to mention that beautiful voice that takes me to another world. And above all, thanks for coming into my life and light up every dark corner of it. Happy birthday despite the hundreds of kilometers that separate us.
