Wow you guys, thanks so much for 30k followers!!!

I never thought you guys would like this so much 😂 I was thinking about it last night and I really am glad I started this blog. I think getting to see how happy people get seeing and remembering their childhood toys is one of my favorite parts. I also like sharing my art with you guys— and I’m glad you all seem to like it too. I started this blog during some of the worst years mentally I’d ever gone through and in a way it did help me. Even if it’s just a toy blog it still means a lot to me because of that.

Also, regarding the store, I really want to sell physical products but my anxiety has been preventing that from happening. Apologies if you were looking forward to physical zines— I know it sucks since printers aren’t easily accessible to a lot of people. I also have a ton of keychains and other goodies I’d love to sell. But A) the process of shipping is super overwhelming and B) I’m a deeply private person and sharing my address makes me uncomfortable. I’ve looked into PO Boxes but even the smallest sizes are really expensive, and as an investment I’m not planning on opening a shop to make big profits so I’d be most likely losing money in renting one. I hope I can figure something out and hopefully my paranoia will get better to the point where that won’t be as big of an issue anymore. Not to bum anyone out just wanted to be honest since it’s been weighing on me for a while : (

Hi Goober! I love the sticker look of your newer collages with the outlines around the images! What program do you use to make your collages, if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you! I’m a big fan of that look too. I use Procreate (I’m a digital artist so I bought it for that.) but if you’re on desktop there’s a really good free art program called Fireaplacha that has a specific setting for adding the outlines. I believe IbisPaint X (a free drawing app) also has it?

On Procreate I have to do a bit of a weird process to add them— I merge all the photos, duplicate the layer, Gaussian blur it, use the select tool to select the blurred outline, fill the outline with whichever color I want, and delete the blurred layer. If you’d like a better explanation let me know and I’ll take screenshots 😅

Since I recently ordered my dream set of the epoch Hamtaro figures/a playset (I still can’t believe I got all the figures I wanted I’m so happy.) it’s time to rearrange my toy shelf and make some room.

This was my set up for a long time, I call it “Hamtaro Invading the Calico Critters House.” I think my favorite part is Hamtaro and Bijou playing spin the bottle while the wig ham-ham makes a bet 😂 Sadly I gotta pack away a lot of the calico critter furniture since I don’t have room. I thrifted the furniture a few years ago for an absolute steal and love it so much. Though, I might be able to use some of it still…

I’m so lucky to be able to have the means to collect childhood toys, but I hope one day I can have the proper space to display them all at once. One of those IKEA anime figure cases would be rad. Anywho, please enjoy this photo set!
