Ty didn't feel hungry, he just felt drained. Like his heart, his stomach had sunk into itself, seeing no point in functioning. "There's no point." He knew that sounded bad, like he was giving up, and he didn't mean to. Giving up now would be as good as spitting on the bodies on the bed. These people had taken him, fed him, clothed him, given him everything they were capable of giving. He couldn't just throw that away, and he wouldn't. But for now, he couldn't bring himself to eat.

"It's not working!" Lex yelped. He didn't know why he was even bothering, Mercutio and Blaze were both too spoiled to have ever operated their own ride.

"PULL HARDER!" Mercutio yelled.

With one last glare, Lex turned back to the steering wheel. He took a hold of it, viciously pretending for a second that it was Mercutio's neck, because what did he know-

With one last hard yank, the ship lurched upwards.

My words were: hour, chest, sink, drain, and cut

hour: After school, he'd fill in for his father one day and his mother the next for a few hours.

chest: Ty's heart hammered in his chest. They weren't moving-

sink: Ty felt his heart sink so far into itself that there was basically a black hole there, incapable of giving, only sucking anything good around it until there was nothing left.

drain: Ty didn't feel hungry, he just felt drained. Like his heart, his stomach had sunk into itself, seeing no point in functioning. "There's no point."

cut: In the morning, Ty's heart no longer felt sunk. It felt like someone had cut it out of his chest.

Goal: find all the colors of the rainbow

These are all from Electors!

Red: He spotted a speck of red on her arm, and it took him a second to realize that it was blood.

Orange: "Why is it so orange here?"

Yellow: "What are you doing here?" he asked the Girl in Yellow.

Green: It wasn't hard to tell that Ty was adopted- his lighter hair and bright green eyes made him stick out like a sore thumb.

Blue: As the ship climbed into the air, Ty looked over the planet he had lived his entire life. The buildings and people were nothing but tiny specks now, only visible if he really squinted. More noticeable was the sky, painted in varying shades of blue. As the ship pushed higher, Ty felt his ears pop, and could watch as the blues turned to black.

Indigo: There was something about Mac's eyes. They were deep, unending pits of indigo- they were too dark to be described as blue- yet too shadowed to see the bottom.

Violet: "I've got something for you, Lex." He smirk grew broader as he swept his arm from behind his back, revealing a flower with violet petals.

Color Line Tag

Orange: As he stepped out of the ship, he was hit with a wave of heat and fog. They were surrounded by an orange haze.

Red: Ty couldn't tell if this guy was just stupid or was being an asshole, but it didn't stop him from seeing red. "Are you kidding me? Look at yourself!"

Purple: Lex could hardly see anything. The lights were too bright, his eyes were too heavy, his head was throbbing. But he saw a flash of purple, and knew who was there.

Silver: The ship was a sleek silver, glinting off the otherwise deserted surface. "This doesn't seem that covert."

About Me

Hey guys! I’m GG, 20, she/her, and I like writing science fiction and fantasy.

What This Blog Is For

1. Advice. I’ve already posted a lot on worldbuilding. I’m probably going to expand on that by using my own work as an example. I also reblog any writing resources/tips I think are useful specifically for scifi or fantasy type stories, so be sure to keep an eye out for those!

2. Writing. Check out my masterlist for a full list of the stuff I’ve posted so far, but I’m going to be using this blog mainly to write short stories. I think these stories are mainly gonna be written using my OCs for my larger projects, which brings us to our third and final point:

WIP: Electors

Basic Info

Genre: Sci-Fi, Adventure, Action, Suspense, YA

Status: Planning

Audience: People who likes Star Wars, political dramas, and/or YA dystopias

POV: 3rd person limited, two viewpoints

Setting: The Milky Way (future)

Description

Synopsis: A cult infiltrated the ranks of the EC to elect their leader, who takes over the US, the world, and eventually the solar system. While the Electors’ descendants play for power, a fledging rebellion looks to rescue a vital asset.

Themes: dystopia, space, politics, travel, bio warfare, rebellion

Viewpoint Characters

Ty: a recently-orphaned nineteen year old from Pluto who sort of gets roped into joining the rebellion with his older adoptive brother

Lex: one of the newer Electors who is in charge of Earth and is the closest confidante of the Master, who rules the entire solar system
