What better use of the Enlarge spell is there than to HUG ALL YOUR FRIENDS??? I wanted to squeeze in a last minute print for Hal-con and was torn between a beefy pinup of Karlach or a group pic, then I realised I could do both ahaha. The print version won't include my Tav tho, this one's just for me. I love all these goobers so much.
growing up on the streets of Baldur’s Gate, my Tav remembers a man with moonlight in his hair and desperation in his eyes, luring away the other urchins in the night….
am I crazy or did the quality of what we do in the shadows just plummet miserably after season 3. Season 5 was better than season 4 but it was still so hollow. I don't understand the analysis of the character dynamics in s5 as if they are new and different and meaningful and not lesser rehashes of development that has already happened one, two, even three seasons ago that was more sincere and better written and more heartfelt.
It just feels like after s3 the writers either felt completely lost or entirely intimidated at the idea of expanding on what was built and the show has just meaninglessly stagnated awfully ever since. It seems like they have no ideas. I mean I know it's not a requirement but season 5 didn't even end with any possible set up or cliffhanger for what's to come in season 6. There isn't even any pretense that there's something planned.
I KNOW this show is primarily a goofy comedy, but the first 3 seasons were good at juggling the irreverence with actual sincerity and development for the sake of strengthening the characters. It feels like now whatever development that already happened gets wiped and redone and the writers just have to rely on how much the audience is willing to forget or outright ignore how often this happens.
when mitski said "hanging on... by a thread. hanging on. shouldn’t let go. if i let go, all will fall. fingers bleeding down to the bone now. can't let go. nothing makes sense. hold on. hold on. hold... on."
