Some fucker changed it because ‘oh no Ninjago can’t possibly have a gay relationship’ even though there’s evidence in the SHOW and not to mention several ppl working on the show support these 2 as a ship.

And don’t tell me that ‘they’re just trying to make sure the information is factual’ cus on that same exact page they have Nya listed as one of Cole’s former love interest even though it’s been confirmed by Tommy Andersen that Cole never liked Nya romantically and that he was just confused at the sudden attention she was giving him.

But of course some homophobe probably got upset at seeing Geo being a possible love interest for Cole. I sometimes cannot with this wiki, like you have your canon straight ships, you got Jaya, Kailor, Pixane, Llokita just let us have this one gay ship be canon. It’s not going to ruin Cole’s character if he ends up in a romantic relationship with Geo. When Kai and Skylor got together did that suddenly ruin Kai’s personality? No and it would be the same for Cole.

It’s honestly tiring having to fight for queer representation in Ninjago and it doesn’t make it easier having homophobes trying to bash anyone who supports a queer ship or headcanons a character as queer in this fandom.

Also while on topic I actually hate how ppl will try to use Vania as an excuse to be homophobic. Like when a homophobe goes on about how ‘Cole isn’t gay’ they’ll always bring up Vania (and Nya at times too) like it’s been confirmed that Cole and Vania are just friends yet people still treat the ship as canon (u can totally ship them if u want btw) and use Vania as an excuse to homophobic. Like don’t you dare bring my girl into this

I’m honestly disappointed in the ninjago wiki, I thought people there would be more open to the idea of Cole and Geo being a canon couple. But I guess that’s just wishful thinking.

Ngl if I was a Doc Wyatt and I saw the "#savemyboycole" thing that's going around, I'd wait an entire year just to say on April Fool's Day that Cole X Geo is NOT canon and Cole (if by then he's already dating Geo – and let's be real he probably will be) is gonna break up with Geo in the next season, only to give them a kiss scene like the one Jay and Nya had in "Double Trouble" back in season 1.

Either that or I'd put "Cole breaks up with Geo and gets a girlfriend" as a lie in the two lies, one truth (two truths, one lie?) that the writers do every year.

(Apologies in advance – I did not intend for this post to be so long...)

The problem here is that big movie adaptations like having well-known celebrities in their films (e.g. Idris Elba as Knuckles) and that usually means that lesser known actors and voice actors, who often have more skill and fit the role much better, are pushed aside and not given the credit or recognition they deserve. I agree that Keanu Reeves is NOT the perfect casting for Shadow because there are so many better options, but for the movie (which was always going to choose a big name to voice Shadow cuz he's such a popular character) he is probably one of the better fits than most other big celebs.

I would've loved to see a previous VA of Shadow's voice him again in the movie (like they did with Tails). I even saw people theorizing that Jason Griffiths was gonna return to voice him and I got really excited about that because I LOVED his voice for Shadow, so I am slightly disappointed with the outcome at the same time as having expected this from the beginning.

I also agree that Ian Hanlin was a PERFECT fit for Shadow, but he's just not that well known, which is a shame because he's an extremely talented VA and I would love to see him return as Shadow someday.

I think Shadow as a character is pretty unique too. I've said before on my blog that I love EVERY VA that Sonic has had – that's because Sonic is the main character. Voicing Sonic takes a lot of talent and since Sonic is the main character, casting directors need to choose the PERFECT voice or else the film/series/game just isn't as good as it could be, and imo every casting director for Sonic adaptations has hit the nail on the head because his voice is always perfect for that particular version of him. Whereas Shadow is a more complex character and despite him being a fan favourite, casting directors probably do care less about finding the perfect fit for him than they do Sonic, obviously prioritising Sonic, understandbly. It, arguably, takes more talent to voice Shadow than it does Sonic due to the complexity of his character and mixture of deep and light tone in his voice, and that sometimes makes it hard for them to find a good fit for Shadow, so in cases where the adaptation is BIG (like the movies), it's less a case of talent and more a case of popularity.

My take: Keanu Reeves should not voice movie!Shadow

When Jay and Nya reunite, I need Jaya to be reinforced.

What I mean by that is: I need Jay to take one look at Nya and fall in love with her all over again.

I don't want him to take one look at her and get his memories back. I want them to spend time with each other, getting to know each other all over again, Nya reminding him who he his, and I want this to cause him to fall in love with her again because their relationship is just THAT special. I want him to let this happen, all because of love at first sight – because he saw a beautiful, badass water ninja beat the shit out of his administration coworkers and thought "wow", almost like he SHOULD know this girl but he doesn't.

And I want to see Nya not ONCE losing hope that Jay will regain his memories. Because we've already seen that she KNOWS he could never truly forget her because she KNOWS how much he loves her and that's why she loves him. I want to see her patience as she helps him to regain his memories, waiting for him to remember everything they've been through together, whilst realising that nothing, not even the loss of memories of the time they've spent together, can keep them from loving each other.

And most importantly I want to see the look of pure joy on Jay's face when he is told that the beautiful, badass water ninja that he wants to be his girlfriend already IS his girlfriend.
