Шапокляк (Shapoklak) / 22.03.2024

For some time already I wanted to do a Shapoklak inspired coord, the mean rat lady from Chiburashka (see pic 4). I used to think she was quite funny as a kid, especially when her schemes failed. Also, I have pat rats (pic with one of them, Eddie, in pic 3). As it is Purim, and I wanted to distract myself from everything, I dressed up and went out with a friend for a casual costume walk.

Eddie is so cute!!!

A simple coord I wore to meet friends and strangers, and had some lovely conversation.

While building this coord, it was quite "grandma-core" but I trusted the process, and once I put my petticoat on it looked very lolita.

I am glad I could wear this lovely cardigan at last! It is really cute and looked really nice over my long sleeved OP.

2. Current favourite is pecan tea, but as for actual tea I love milky oolong. I sort of used it in an unhealthy way during my previous uni period, but it is still extremely tasty.

It has amazing caramel taste. As for pecan "tea", it is also really lovely. I mostly drink infusions without caffeine, and it is a fave. It has the aromas of a pecan pie!

3. It is hard to say, because I love lots of motifs! Pintucks, scallop borders, sailor collars are some of my faves, but I also started to really enjoy box plates lately, probably because of my obsession with the striped regiment (plain) Victorian Maiden JSKs. I can't say no to it when another colourway pops up on the 2nd hand market...

Those past months were challenging as I got pneumonia and was left with post pneumonia complications that are quite unclear and look like long covid, and 2 of my rats passed away from pituitary tumors. The political situation is very bad and people are suffering so much.
