I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Law blinked, almost staggering back, but managing to keep his footing in the ankle-deep water. He would recognise Bepo’s fur anywhere, no matter what. He’d spent enough time over the years lounging against it, after all. But as his eyes trailed upwards, journeying higher and higher, dread began to settle in the pit of his stomach. He knew this form. He knew the flowing waterfall of pure white hair that seemed to glide about in the air as the mountainous form turned, knew the angular cut of his snout, wrinkled with razor sharp teeth, knew that growl- (Shit, it was just one thing after another…)

And this one is for that same CoraLaw fic, named Saudade, which is a phenomenal rated M, Adult Law/Cora, fix it fic, written by Alilman_writes on Ao3, that my last commission was from. Once again, gorgeously written with phenomenal character development, an interesting plot, and stunning scenes like this one above that keeps you gripped the whole time!

They are already selling data to midjourney, and it's very likely your work is already being used to train their models because you have to OPT OUT of this, not opt in. Very scummy of them to roll this out unannounced.

I had an accident on January 18th that caused a pretty serious injury - a laceration to the right eyelid as well as a ruptured right orbital globe, that is to say, a ruptured eyeball - which I had an operation for the following morning. Since I can't perceive any light out of it, even if after weeks of healing and visits with doctors, I'll be getting surgery done on March 11th to get it removed and to have a prosthetic put in! That way, once that heals, I can go and get a fake eye to replace the one that was removed.

Which means I can have fun colored eyes in the future!! And themed eyes for cosplay too! That'll be great. 👌

Currently, I'm on medical leave and just resting and healing up, but it's still gonna take a bit to heal. I've also taken time off from school until this following fall to help with the healing as well!

That being said, I'm kind of posting on all my social media to search for possible remote work as well as anyone needing some art, editing work done for their photos, and what not? Just something extra so I have money on the side for bills and general things as I'm not working right now.

I'll be working at a slightly slower pace thanks to needing to rest my other eye more often, but small jobs should be okay! Shoot me a message and let's go over some stuff if you'd like to get some stuff done! 💕

I'd appreciate any help or fingers pointed the right way!

Happy late Valentine's day!

I actually posted this yesterday on my Twitter, so apologies on the delay on this end!

I got commissioned by Alilman_writes on ao3 for their CoraLaw fic, Saudade, a rated M, Adult Law/Cora, fix it fic, featuring ghosts, surprise child acquisition, and getting therapy through single parenting. 👌

This is one of the first commissions I've done in a hot minute! That said, this is also the first commission I've done since my accident and my eye Injury! So all things considered, I'm supremely proud of how this turned out!

We decided on both a full version and a cropped version for the fic itself, since the intimacy was off the charts when zoomed in so close like this!

Enjoy all the details too, though, I had loads of fun working on this! Slowly but surely, I'm working through my current queue and I just wanted to say thank you for all your wonderful support and well wishes!

I'll probably make a little post updating everyone on the finer details of what's going on with my injury right after this one, but even so, thank you all, I appreciate and adore all of you! 💕

btw with art when people say 'youve got to do it scared' 'youve got to draw bad' 'youre not gonna know how to do it until you do it' it sounds like bullshit but its true. 90% of art is just getting over the fear that it's not going to be good enough to deserve to be made in the first place. but you're here. you're alive and, with no need to justify that, you're going to make art. it's just part of being alive. you'll spend so long worrying you aren't doing it good enough that you'll look back and realized you didn't live a single day of it.

School, work, an upcoming move, and just... life in general has been killing me creatively, but @Alilman_writes on AO3 wrote an insanely well written CoraLaw fic that has just.... not left my brain for the last month.

Beautifully written, phenomenal characterizations, amazing side characters and our favourite Heart Pirate crew, great plot, and it's just... so tender and heart achingly good, I've cried at least three times with it, and I'm in just so love, you have no idea.

Major brainrot for it, tbh, so expect more soon.
