I just wanted to say, thank you for creating this amazing comic! This has become my binge comic that I habitually come back to. I love the way you show some of my favorite characters, and even rereading I giggle when a character I know appears for the first time. When I first found you on Webtoons, I was enraptured by a cute baby Link and a wholesome Ganondad. Thank you so much, and I hope you continue to create art!

Hello to you both! I've been meaning to write a response about the hiatus so consider this an answer to your question as well as others who are wondering!

We did update Patreon with 2 pages on Monday to start a weekly buffer, having two pages ready to post while others are being made. We will update later today so stay tuned. :) I fully intend to return to GUG this month and we've already started on Patreon.

There are also some personal reasons why we haven't updated the public.

I've been busy with my middle school teaching and there was an event that made it difficult to post the public pages. The reason I started GUG was to help come to terms with my father's cancer treatment so GUG was a way to cope with the idea of mortality and the relationships with the people who raised you. I intended to keep this theme as there is a major character death coming up in the public pages.

A month ago I had to deal with the hardest reality of being a teacher -- losing a student far too early in his life. It was a difficult time for the students, the school, myself to take the news. I wasn't ready to post the upcoming pages while dealing with these issues IRL. Sometimes art helps us cope with reality, sometimes it hurts too close so I kept this in mind for myself as well as the audience for GUG. I was able to create these pages last year with a better mindset, but it was hard for me to post them now.

With that in mind, I appreciate your patience and I look forward to updating all of you again with this comic. :) Bad things will happen in GUG, just like growing up in real life, but I assure you guys that there will be sweetness in the end.

Life is a mess right now, but here I am coming out of the woodwork to create the oddest addition to this blog as a birthday present to a friend. She wanted to see the walking disaster Ganondorf as the walking child disaster Shin-chan. Happy birthday, @bloobluebloo!!

When do you guys post on webtoon? Once a month, once a week? Im a huge Legend of Zelda fan and I saw this comic on webtoon and I absolutely loved it. I read the entire comic and I NEED more! Just wondering when you guys posted :)

When we're not on hiatus, we generally post once a week! It's been hard getting back to the comic since I've been doing my first year of teaching middle school art full time, but I've been slowly mustering up the energy to get back! We're looking at a possible return by the end of the month if all goes well! Cheers!

There‘s a website called lookhuman and I don’t know if you guys run it, but they‘re selling stuff with an art style that looks suspiciously like yours. I just wanted to warn you in case it belonged to you because having your art stolen sucks!

He looks very much like your Ganondorf, is he yours?

L**khuman was a company I used to design shirts and merch for including this Ganondorf! While there are a lot of other messy details when it comes to the company, I can confirm that I did design this while I was hired as their illustrator. However, they completely own all of the designs so anything bought from there goes to the company and not towards the original artists.

I hope that clears things up!
