Facebook didn’t just block news it blocked access to pages like 1800Respect, health information, the WA Department of Fire and Emergency Services and the Bureau of Meteorology - as well as multiple politicians. It’s not “ah well, so we didn’t get our news from one site today” it bullied the Australian people by using its power as a mega-corporation and an everyday medium and access tool to decide cut off information that could’ve been vitally important. Denying emergency services the ability to post easily shareable information during bushfire season? Health services unable to post during a pandemic? Politicians can’t post during WA’s state election? None of that is acceptable.
Meanwhile: it didn’t ban anti-vaxxer conspiracy theory content because that’s not news, or politicians, so in the information vacuum of actual real important information people were instead still able to spread harmful and damaging propaganda. Facebook acted absolutely fucking despicably today. Fuck Facebook.

“I don't feel the need to spend a lot of money on election signage. I enjoy the creative process of making my own. I am sure I could apply this money saving creativity to RRC. I am not spending money on Facebook advertising so if you could share these posts it would be appreciated.”
Help Chris obtain his rightful place as Mayor of Rockhampton by sharing his Election Posts from FB.

Technically, spending 15 minutes within two meters of someone with the virus means a risk of catching it. The infection can develop anything from 1-14 days later.
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, tiredness, and a dry cough.
Some people may have aches and pains, a blocked nose, a runny nose, a sore throat, or diarrhea.
These symptoms are usually mild and begin gradually. Some people become infected but don’t develop any symptoms and don’t feel unwell.
Most people (about 80%) recover from the disease without needing special treatment.
Around one out of every six people with COVID-19 becomes seriously ill and develops difficulty breathing. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness.
