Hello from the other side.. Some bullet points: Oliver's personal scratching post. Occasionally some vet med talk (pls do not ask for medical advice) My sense of humor isn't for everyone, you may or may not regret that follow. Doing my best to stop depending on 'the man' and living sustainably. Constructive criticism is appreciated but only when solicited. Posts will be highlights of my day. #NoBot
This photo came up in my memories and I just *had* to post this for the world to see. Luigi the tabby cat under the Christmas tree hiding behind presents but also being the best gift. Surprisingly, he didn't care or bother destroying the tree like my other cats have done in the past. Goodest boy deserves it all. 馃グ
Since the new Exorcist movie came out I put a hold on the original novel so I could compare the first movie to to the book (yes I know, books are always better) but since I hadn't read it....why not? I got the notification earlier that it was ready for check out. Will try and start this one tomorrow when I have time, I'm excited to see what was put into the movie and what was left out.
I was reading Interview with the Vampire but because I own it, I can come back to it whenever I want. Although, if The Exorcist novel plays it's cards right, I might just add it to my personal library.
Wow. Fuck her family. My heart broke for Britney and I'm glad she was finally able to tell her story.
My Turn!
After putting away laundry (ugh, never ending amirite?) I got the notification on my phone that my local library had a copy available for me to check out, finally. I'm excited to read the Britney Spears memoir, I've heard many things about this one. Tragic, heartbreaking, amusing. The other novel I was reading can wait, it won't go anywhere.

I took a break from reading and found out that this show existed. Holy bingeable show, Batman. I've fallen in love with these two and Claudia. I read Anne Rices' book way back in HS but seeing this retelling and these two gorgeous men have me wanting to re-read the whole series again. ::fans self::
Also read that AMC has ordered another season and it's expected to air sometime early - mid 2024, which will give me time to read through the Vampire Chronicles. SQUEE!
As we head towards the end of 2023, I revert back to my bullet journal to see how many goals I've accomplished for the year so far. I'm proud to say I've completed most without feeling pressured to do so. My biggest goal was to cut down on trash tv, I became way too attached to the control machine (bonus points if you know where that name comes from) so I went to my local library to renew my library card and started checking out books to read and keep me busy/entertained. I also logged back into GoodReads to set a goal to read 100 books this year and I've reached that goal a few days ago!
Another goal I wanted to reach was to cook more often and cut down on money spent on fast food. Do I have more money saved? No. Of course not! I have a family to feed and they eat, a lot. Cats and dog included. You know what though? I wouldn't have it any other way.
I don't know if there's anything I really want to "accomplish" for 2024, probably more of the same. Maybe save money but let's be real, that can be unrealistic with all the expenses that unexpectedly come our way. Come to think of it...I could probably thrift more often instead of buying new clothes? Make my own clothes? Maybe declutter? Buy devices refurbished instead of brand new? The possibilities are endless.
Oh man. January went by quickly. Birthday month was a success! Will have to make plans to do something just as fun next year, universe willing.
Currently on my moon cycle so to remedy the cramps I made myself a tea and picked up Liz Braswell's Once Upon A Dream. I'm a few chapters in and I'm digging it. I'm a huge Disney fan but I'm also a horror fan and having the two join hands made my heart sing.
Tell me why I'm crying tears for this beautiful man. His voice brings me to literal tears, his lyrics give me the goosebumps. I would make this man breakfast every single day.
