Ok, gonna be honest, I forgot about this blog.

I've kinda fallen out of haikyuu and haven't really been involved in the fandom much for a few months now, and since this blog is just something I made for fun, I'm not going to force myself to write about it.

I am sorry about the inactivity, but to be honest, that will probably continue unless my interest in the series gets back up to what it used to be.

If you're interested, I have considered doing something similar with other fandoms that I'm more into now, so I might make separate blogs for those or, more likely, I'll change this one and use it for any fandoms instead of just for haikyuu.

Thank you for your patience and support and I'm especially sorry to anyone who's sent in a request recently, cause I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to them.

Hi! Thank you so much for this request!! It took a long time for me to get this out and I'm really sorry about that, but here it finally is!

Childhood friends with Hinata Shoyo headcanons under the cut!

The Hinata’s have been your next-door neighbors for your entire life

Your parents were also close friends

So you two have been attached at the hip since you were toddlers

You would always go on little ‘adventures’ together and explore around the neighborhood when you were little

You went to the same school together all the way from elementary through high school

In middle school, you were on the girls’ volleyball team

You helped him out with his own practicing whenever you could

He was the one to get you into volleyball, mostly because he kept talking to you about the little giant for ages after he first saw him on tv

And it didn’t take long for you to also start thinking it was cool as hell

You both know pretty much everything about each other

From things like favorite colors, to everything that makes you both anxious, to the specific crushes you both had in elementary school

So of course you’re also an expert at knowing how to calm him down whenever he goes into Nervous Wreck Mode™ (like he did during the seijoh practice match)

You give the rest of the team a course on how to help him

He also knows how to cheer you up whenever you’re feeling down

Sometimes that means just rambling to you about something to distract you, which is his specialty

He’ll just go on and on about a new technique he’s learning, or telling you about all the weird shit Tanaka and Nishinoya get up to until you’ve forgotten that you were even sad in the first place

You would always be each others fake dates for events 

But you see each other as siblings so much that you both know that nothing’s actually going to come from it

You have frequent sleepovers, even in your late teens

You both are at each other’s houses so often that you both have two homes really

You also end up being super close with Natsu too

She actually likes you more than she likes Shoyo

And of course Shoyo is forever bitter about that, claiming you ‘stole’ her

You were low-key jealous when he started getting really close with Kageyama

Mostly because he started hanging out with him almost as much as he hung out with you

On top of that, Kags is his go-to practice partner now, which was the title you held for over three years

But it doesn’t take too long for Shoyo to realize how you felt

He knows you so well after all, how could he not notice that something’s up

So now the three of you all hang out whenever you can so he doesn’t have to choose between you two

So you and Kageyama became close pretty quickly too

Of course you tease them for their obvious crushes on each other any chance you get

Anyway, enough about a character anon didn’t ask for

You two have the best inside jokes

Shoyo gets up to a lot of dumb stuff that makes for the funniest stories

No one knows why the hell you laugh whenever someone mentions cinder blocks or parabolas 

(Yes those are both references to inside jokes I’m a part of)

If someone asks about it you just say “cause of Shoyo, that’s why”

You both tease each other for your heights constantly

If you’re short, then he’ll make fun of you for it despite being fully aware that he’s also very short

If you’re tall, then “tree” and “giraffe” are very common words in his vocabulary

Lighthearted teasing is a pillar of your friendship

Being friends with Nishinoya

I wrote this once but then closed the website without saving it so I lost all my progress. I’ve also been super busy, so I’m so sorry this took a lot longer than it should have :(

Anyway, into the headcanons!

(Ps, for anything that’s written without specific reader personality requests, like this one, I’m going to use my own personality for it :))

Noya is, obviously, an extrovert

He’s the type of person to see someone that he thinks looks cool

And just decides “them. they’re gonna be me friend now”

So essentially, he’s that one extrovert that goes around adopting every single introvert he comes across

And of course this is exactly what happened with you

You were sus about him at first

He was loud, and always kept trying to talk to you when you were busy

But he grew on you

And now, in your second year, you’ve been really close ever since about half-way through your first year

When you hang out, Noya isn’t a big fan of staying in

He prefers to go out and see places

So most of your hang outs involve just that, going out and seeing things

You had always preferred staying in to hang out, but were good with going out too

So this was fine for you

Noya also really likes going to parties

Team hangouts, house parties, even school dances, you name it, he drags you there

This leads to you getting a lot closer with the other team members as well

Mostly Tanaka and Asahi, as those are the ones that Noya hangs out with most

(Sidenote: you’ve definitely wingmanned for Noya with Asahi at least once)

Noya’s favorite thing to do, though, is just going out wherever

And just people watching

He loves just sitting there with you and maybe another friend or two 

And sorta making up stories about random people that pass by and joking about them with you

(Nothing mean of course, he’s not an asshole)

But you don’t always go out

He’s convinced you to help him study quite a few times

You and Ennoshita are basically his go-to tutors

Most of the time when you study, it’s at his house

Sometimes you’ll go to a cafe or something too, but you both prefer staying in, as there’s a lot less distractions

He’ll take Tanaka with him sometimes, and maybe even Kageyama and Hinata if they ask

That’s enough for now, but I might write a drabble based on it at some point! Now that I’m finally done with this, I’ll get started on some requests :D

Headcanons under the cut!

Kuroo 

You met because you were assigned to be lab partners in your chemistry class

At first, Kuroo comes across as the type of guy who doesn’t do any of his schoolwork

You were so relieved when you found out he’s actually a huge nerd

After that, it didn’t take long before you started studying with him outside of your shared class

Though a lot of these study sessions turn into him gossiping about the team and you about your friends

You decide to introduce him to your other friends after about a month of knowing him

And he basically becomes a part of the group after only a week

Definitely played a big part in getting you and your girlfriend together

After he found out about your crush on her, he’d go up to her and be like “hey,,,, you and (y/n) would be great together ngl”

So of course he was hella hyped when it finally happened

Type of gay person to be like ‘ha that’s gay’ at literally anything even remotely queer coded

Of course this includes whenever he sees you and your girlfriend flirting

Sometimes drags you and your other friends to parties

But he does always go out of his way to make sure you’re comfortable

Kind of a dad friend actually

Always makes sure you’ve eaten and had enough water and go to sleep at a reasonable time and just are taking care of yourself in general

Like in an aggresively positive way

Oikawa

Oikawa is definitely that one extrovert that just decides to adopt every introvert that he comes across

((idk if you’re an introvert so i guess im just projecting my personality))

As we all know, he’s the king of giving people nicknames

So he’s calling you (nickname)-chan everytime he sees you within a week of meeting him

One time you were vibing with your friends during your lunch period when you hear that distincitive “Yahoo~ (n/n)-chan!”

Your friends were honestly pretty surprised to find out that you were friends with Oikawa

They were like “lmao how did you get the most popular guy here to be friends with you”

But after getting over the initial shock, it doesn’t take long for them to be like “yeah he’s one of us now”

Also they definitely tease you about that nickname

But the teasing mysteriously stops when they each get nicknames of their own from him

You won’t admit it but you secretly love being called that nickname

Oh and Oikawa was ecstatic when he found out you had a girlfriend

“Aww my little (n/n)-chan has a girlfriend~!” like you’re in 4th grade and he’s your older sibling teasing you for holding hands with a girl once

But that’s the only time that he ever gets to have older sibling vibes

Most of the time, he’s the designated youngest sibling of the group despite being older than most of you

He just has the vibes

Tendou

You meet because your dorms were just down the hall from each other

Similar situation as with Oikawa, he’s an extrovert who goes around adopting introverts

So he adopted you and you’ve been friends since first year

He and your girlfriend are part of the “Dating My Cool Introverted Roommate” club because I guess I’ve just assigned you to be a cool introvert now

Most of the time when you hang out together you’ll go to a cafe on campus because Shiratorizawa is loaded and probably has cafes on campus

Tendou’s love language is definitely physical touch

And that made you uncomfy at first but he was super respectful about it and backed off until you were more comfortable

But now, after knowing each other for years, hugs and stuff are more common

He always gives a warning before touching you though

You, Tendou, and your girlfriend have weekly movie nights in the dorm you share with your gf

Sometimes Ushijima comes along too but most of the time it’s just you three

Tendou turns out to be a simp for a good romcom and you and your gf Can and Will tease him for it

Sometimes you go out shopping at like 3am

It’s a vibe

Being friends with Kenma

Hi, first actual post! Hope you enjoy :))

Headcanons - 

You met because Kuroo introduced you

That’s how Kenma meets most people actually

Kenma did not like you at first

To be fair, he doesn’t like anyone at first

But it didn’t take long for him to realize that you were actually super chill

Hanging out with him almost always means vibing at his place playing video games

Just accept that you will never beat this dude at any video game ever

You come close with mariokart though

But you call him up whenever you need help with a game

Stuck on a boss? He’ll tell you everything he knows about its attack patterns, which is a lot

Can’t solve a puzzle? He just straight up gives you the solution, no questions asked

He’s your own personal walk-through

But gaming with him quickly fucks up your sleep schedule

We all know that Kenma Can and Will stay up the entire night just gaming

And that’s no different with you around

Sometimes Kuroo comes along too, and those are the only times the two of you will go to sleep before three am when you stay over

When you do go places with him, its generally something pretty tame

He does his best to avoid parties and only goes if he gets dragged there by Kuroo

Sometimes he’ll invite you to team hang outs

But most times when you go out it’s just to the movies or something like that

And of course the late night coffee runs

Those normally happen when you stay over at each others houses

But occasionally, he’ll just call you up randomly at like 2am and ask if you wanna go to the local 24 hour cafe

Unsuprisingly, Kenma lives off of caffeine, so these runs happen quite a lot

So much actually, that you’ve memorized each other’s orders

Please submit some requests! That’s the best way for me to get ideas. That being said, there are rules and guidelines I’d like you to follow if you do

Rules -  

No nsfw. 

Just no. First of all, I’m a minor. Second of all, this is a platonic shipping blog. That does not include friend with benefits. 

No romantic prompts

This ones pretty obvious. Again, it’s a platonic shipping blog. Mentions of romance in the background are fine, but I don’t want it to be the main focus.

Genres -

Fluff is preferred but I will do angst if you ask. Nothing too heavy though. If you’re not sure what I consider ‘too heavy’, just send it in anyway and I’ll decide from there. :)

Request Guidelines -

The characters you want.

Some basic info about the kind of person you want the reader’s character to be. Gender, some personality traits, physical traits if you think it’s relevant, and anything else you think might be useful for me :)

Prompt. Doesn’t have to be too specific, I just need an idea of what you want me to write :)

If you want headcanons, a drabble, or both

Any extra information you want me to consider.

Disclaimers:

This blog is not one of my top priorities and I'm a slow writer. It will likely take a long time for your request to be posted, but I'll do my best to get to everything eventually

If you don't give me a personality for the reader, I'll likely project my traits onto them because its very hard to write a character (even a reader character) that doesn't have any personality and still have it be interesting

There are minorities that I am not a part of and I don't have the unique experiences of. Of course, I will still write and do research for characters who are part of those minorities if requested, but please understand that it likely won't be perfect
