THE UA ENTRANCE EXAM

“I can’t believe there are that many applicants this year.” Snipe mumbled, as Vlad King nodded, taking a sip of his own coffee. “Nezu refused to raise the acceptance rate, the creature's need for bloodshed is truly unmatched.” UA’s instructors were sprawled around the viewing area, making conversation. Shouta had just finished his first cup of coffee and was steadily working on the second, when the door made a sound. “All I’m saying,” A voice mumbled, “is that this entire exam is rigged for physical quirk users.” Shouta snorted into his coffee, making no move to acknowledge the newcomer. They were right, and each year he’s tried to advocate for a better test, to no avail. “I want to see my students overcome adversity, you know that.” Nezu quipped, giving Y/n a closed lipped smile. “So much for overcoming adversity when the testing system itself is rigged.” The woman scoffed. She was going to say more, but a little girls excited shout, brought her attention to a couch in the corner of the room.

“You’re the kitty hero from TV!” Eri shouted, jumping up and down. Y/n smiled, giving the little girl a friendly salute. “The name’s Y/n kiddo! Nice to meet ya!” She greeted, flicking her tail. “Eri Aizawa!” Eri shouted, launching herself at the woman. Y/n caught her with ease, and held her to her hip. “I think you’re right by the way.” Eri began speaking, reaching up to rub one of Y/n’s ears. “The test is rigged, and daddy complains about it everywhere, but this year he’s been extra grumpy because my big brother’s taking the exam. Hito wants to be a hero so so bad.” Eri sighed, as she continued stroking Y/n’s ears. Mic and Oboro watched the interaction, mouths agape as Y/n took everything in stride. Shouta, finally with the rest of the room, swiveled around, to see his daughter stroking the neko heroes ears. “Eri.” He scolded, moving to stand. Y/n held her hand out, giving the man a placating smile. “It’s alright, I promise.” “Eri, you know better than to touch someone without asking.” Shouta stated, his voice stern. Y/n held her out, and smiled up at the man again. “I promise you, it’s perfectly alright. While I’m sure your daughter has exceptional manners, I have feline features and children tend to forgo their home training in all the excitement.” Shouta gave Y/n a look, contemplating if he was going to say more, before nodding. “Either way, I apologize. I’m Shouta Aizawa, Eri’s father and pro-hero Eraserhead.” Teachers around the room whispered, as they watched the exchange. No matter who it was, Shouta Aizawa didn’t make it his business to introduce himself to anyone. “Pro-Hero Neko, Y/n L/n.” Y/n introduced giving the man a slight salute with her freehand. “Now Eri, why do you think your big brother is gonna struggle?” Y/n asked, taking the empty seat next to Aizawa. Her eyes scanned the testing area, and she could see her gremlin and his little friends. “Toshi has a brainwashing quirk, and UA only ever does robots.” She huffed, scanning the crowd. Behind them, Enji and Touya were having a quiet discussion with Mic and Oboro. “He can scrape by getting rescue points, but if he wants to get into the Hero course, he’s going to have to get a couple of big points.” Shouta mumbled, pressing the red button. Y/n’s ears folding toward her scalp as the loud buzzer went off, notifying the contestants that the exam had begun. “That isn’t fair at all.” Y/n whispered, her eyes flitting across the testing facility. “There’s a lot you can do with a quirk like that.” Eri nodded, snuggling close to the woman as the teachers began watching the exam.

Taking a sip of her drink, Y/n let out a loud sigh. She was currently seated in a small cafe near the university. She had originally decided to avoid Mika at all costs, but she had somehow managed to convince herself that Mika would leave her be if she faced the problem head on. “You haven’t changed a bit have you.” A voice sneered, interrupting Y/n’s present thought process. Taking another sip of her drink, Y/n only hummed, as Mika sat down. “I don’t want to waste anymore time that I already have looking for you, but I heard that Dai came into town to see you.” She huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. “And I’m sure he told you how much of a shitty time he had.” Y/n replied looking around the cafe. “He whined and complained that you’ve replaced him with his childhood bully.” Mika sniffed, leveling Y/n with a glare. “How many times do I have to tell you, to leave my boyfriend alone?” “How many times do I have to tell you, I’m not interested in your boyfriend.” Y/n sighed, giving the other woman a lazy look. Mika only scoffed, rolling her eyes.

“Anyone with eyes could see that you’ve been carrying a torch for my man for years now. You’re just some silly little girl with a stupid puppy crush.” Mika sneered, leaning forward. “Why would he want some virgin fucking loser, when he’s got me. Why would anyone want a virgin fucking loser like you.” She laughed. Y/n chose to ignore Mika’s statement, knowing full well that’s all she was going to focus on. “We can’t all go whoring ourselves out whenever we please.” She smiled, as Mika’s face flushed red. “Stay the fuck away from my boyfriend, or I’m going to ruin your life.” Mika threatened, reaching her hand out to knock over Y/n’s drink. She grinned in satisfaction as she watched the contents spill all over the table and Y/n. “Don’t make me come back here again.” It took everything  Y/n had in her, not to reach across the table and pull the other woman by the hair.

With an aggravated sigh, Bakugo ran a hand through his hair and stuffed his phone in his jacket pocket. He’d made it to the restaurant and he would have ditched it if he didn’t know his mother was more than likely already inside. With a glare, he made his way into the building. 20 minutes later, Y/n was huffing as she stopped in front of the blind date location. The woman was originally going to be on time, but the train had stalled. In lieu of letting Izuku know, she kept it to herself in hopes of the date ending prematurely. With a dejected sigh, she made her way inside. “Welcome!” The hostess greeted, her smile fake and cheery. “Hello. I’m here for a reservation under Midoriya.” She mumbled. The hostess’s eyes widened in shock, before clouding in jealousy. “Follow me.” She muttered, her tone sickeningly sweet. Making their way into the restaurant, Y/n let out a whistle at how fancy everything looked. Moments later, the hostess stopped in front of her table, and Y/n was surprised to see her boss sitting in front of the empty seat. “Katsuki?” The blonde in question, looked up from the menu, his eyes widening in surprise at the sight of Y/n. “Enjoy your evening.” The hostess sniffed, turning to trudge away. She and the waitresses that were gossiping in the back would be devastated to know the gorgeous man was taken. “What are you doing here?” He asked, standing to pull out Y/n’s chair. “Izuku cheated on family game night and conned me into a blind date.” She huffed, as Katsuki took his seat. Reaching for the wine, he poured her a glass and watched as she took a tentative sip. “What are you doing here?” The blonde scoffed, taking a sip of his own glass and sighed. “He called in his favor. Said he wanted me to go on a blind date.” Y/n hummed, eyes scanning the restaurant again. She spotted a woman with hair similar to Katsuki’s in the corner near the kitchen. “I see your mother is here to make sure you don’t run.” She giggled as Katsuki’s shoulder’s sagged further. “You don’t have to stay, honestly, I don’t even want to-” “I don’t mind.” Y/n interrupted, grabbing the menu in front of her. “I’ve never been here before and if Izuku is paying, I want to make it hurt.” She stated, grinning as the blonde in front of her laughed. Katsuki couldn’t help the smile spreading across his face, even if he wanted to.

“Kachan!” Izuku whined, gripping his best friend's arm. The blonde only scoffed, stuffing his hands deeper into his pockets. “I’m not helping you get with half-n-half idiot. We’re just a bunch of kids, and we’re going to UA.” Katsuki grumbled, giving his friend his sternest glare. “Who the hell has time for shit like dating when we’re trying to be fucking heroes.” “This isn’t even about Shoto!” Izuku hissed, glaring over at the blonde. “This is about that super secret training I know you’re doing with Endeavor!” The greenette whined. As the two teens made their way back home, they argued and poked at one another, unaware of the villain slithering behind them.

Ten minutes later , found Izuku Midoriya standing helpless as he watched the slime villain take over his best friend. The heroes around him weren’t moving, and he’d tried calling their parents. The signals were down. Izuku could hear Kachan’s agony as the villain stretched his face and his limbs. He felt helpless, his skin sparking as he tried to control his quirk. His father told him he wasn’t allowed to use it unless he or Endeavor was around. Watching Katsuki’s body morph and change, hearing his best friends cries, Izuku’s heart broke. As lightening licked at his skin, Izuku got into position to move. 

“Watch out!” Someone shouted from the sky. Izuku looked up to see Hawks, propelling what looked like a person, toward Katsuki. He watched as the human projectile dove straight into the slime villain, and screamed when he saw the villain spit Katsuki out. Scrambling, Izuku pulled his friend into his chest, backing away from the fight. The boys watched as moments later, the slime villain began shrinking. Izuku could see the villain being sucked into a container. Following the arm being held out, Izuku was surprised to see a hero he’d never seen on Japanese television standing in front of him. “How ya been Cat-suki?” The hero teased, giving Katsuki a wink. The blonde teen blinked rapidly, eyes trying to refocus. He’d caught his breath, and had finally gotten his bearings. “Y/n?” Katsuki whispered, eyes taking in the way her ears flickered at the call of her name. “It’s good to see you Cat-suki!” She cooed, tossing the container up to Hawks. “You shitty woman! I told you to never call me that again!” Katsuki barked scrambling to his feet to pull her into a hug. Y/n only laughed, holding the boy close. “It’s been a long time hasn’t it.” She teased brushing his hair back. “Are you okay?” She asked, as the blonde scoffed. “I could have had him.” He sniffed. Y/n and Izuku shared a look, when the crowd parted. “Katsuki!” Enji shouted, pushing through the crowd. “I’m fine pops!” Katsuki barked, his cheeks pink as Enji gave his stepson a once over. “You’ve finally announced your arrival neko!” All might boomed, giving Y/n a flashy grin. “Fuck off old man, next time, try not to take your sweet ass time getting here.” Y/n sniffed, flipping him off. Izuku’s jaw dropped as Enji tried to hide a laugh. “And the rest of you!” She shouted, sneering at the heroes in the surrounding area. “The next time you even think about hesitating to save a civilian, I’ll shove my foot so far up your fucking ass you’ll taste leather for fucking weeks. You have a duty. If you’re just in it for the money, quit right fucking now.” She shouted, shooting the camera’s the middle finger salute. “Pro Hero Neko is here Japan, and you better be fucking ready!”

Hours later found Y/n whistling as she took in the Todoroki home. “Damn Mitsuki, you really landed yourself a sugar daddy.” The hero shouted, as the sounds of pans clattering rung through the home. “Y/n!” Mitsuki shouted, meeting the woman half-way to the living room. Y/n laughed as the older woman pulled her into the tightest hug she could muster. “How the hell do you know the #2 American Hero?!” Izuku shouted, gripping his best friend's backpack. The rest of the Todoroki’s were sitting at the dining table, sharing dubious looks of curiosity. “After Masaru passed I left Japan.” Mitsuki stated, her arm still wrapped around Y/n’s. “Yumi, could you finish setting the table for me.” Mitsuki asked, pulling Y/n into the kitchen. The girl, “Yumi” nodded, sliding her phone into her jacket. “Sure thing mom.” She smiled, making her way over and bowing. “Fuyumi Todoroki.” “Please don’t be formal. My manners are atrocious at best.” Y/n mumbled sheepishly as the two women shared a smile. “I was really just some crap teen looking for some extra cash. Mitsuki needed some help with Cat-suki, so I stuck around for a few years until it was time for me to graduate.” Y/n supplied, as she helped Fuyumi carry dishes. “You call him Cat-suki?” Natuso cackled, as he and Shoto shared a look. “If you call him Cat-suki I’ll neuter you both.” Y/n declared, a friendly smile on her face. Enji had entered the room and simply shrugged. “I’ve been keeping an eye on Y/n since she debuted in the US. She could probably kick my ass if she wanted to.” He supplied, taking his seat at the head of the table. “Are you alright Katsuki?” Mitsuki asked, pulling her son into a hug. “I’m fine ma. Promise, I’ll be okay.” “You’re gonna go see a therapist anyway Cat-suki or else.” Y/n hummed, as everyone started plating their food. Izuku had so many questions, but he promised Kachan he’d wait. The slamming of the front door alerted the rest of the Todoroki’s that their final family member had arrived. “Fuck, I’ve had a long ass fucking day. To top it of, Keigo’s been fucking busy being a fucking d-” Touya stopped his sentence, when he recognized Y/n sitting in his seat. “What the hell is she doing here?” He hissed, giving the woman a glare. Y/n only smiled, taking a bite of her food. “Good as ever Mitsuki.” She praised, taking another bite. “Sit down and eat fuck face.” Y/n grunted. Natsuo and Shoto waited, knowing Touya’s temper would rear its ugly head. The man only blew flames out of his nostrils, stomping over to the table. “Fuck off.” He mumbled, as Y/n flicked him with her tail. “Good to see you too metal face.” she cooed. Touya’s blush caused his brother’s to break out into an uproar. Enji could only sigh, knowing Y/n was going to throw everything into chaos now that she was here.

In the Aizawa home, Shouta was sitting in the living room grading papers. Eri had just finished her bath and Shinsou had just finished braiding his sisters hair. The trio was watching the news. “I can’t believe that villain snuck up on Suki like that.” Eri mumbled, as she and her brother watched the footage. “It’s not everyday a villain like that can get the jump on someone usually so vigilant.” Shouta replied, eyes on the paper in front of him. “Midoriya said he’s doing okay.” Shinsou mumbled, eyes watching the footage on the screen. “She’s a kitty!” Eri shouted, clutching her stuffie excitedly. Shouta looked up, coming face to face with a woman he’d never seen before. “Pro Hero Neko is here Japan, and you better be fucking ready!” Shinsou let out a laugh, as Eri giggled. “She said a bad word on television!” Shouta snorted, clicking the tv off. “Must be one of those new younger heroes.” he grunted, running a hand through his hair. “Zuku said that she’s Neko. The number 2 hero from the U.S!” Shinsou muttered, his eyes widening as he tapped away on his phone. “Said she relocated to Japan and she’s a friend of Mrs. Bakugo.” Shouta gave his son a grunt, his eyes trained on the test in front of him. “Well I think she’s great!” Eri hummed, tucking her stuffie under her chin. “And she’s real pretty too.”

-Shinsou had his phone taken away for a bit, and forgot for a split second that his sister can be a silent ninja when she wants to be. I promise you it was an embarrassing conversation for everyone. It also didn't help when Touya, Mic, and Oboro came over to give the boy the 'sex talk'. Shinsou has a crush on Katsuki. They don't go to the same middle school, BUT their parents hang out all the time etc, and they're all going to UA together.

-Enji forgets to take the trash out every other day. Mitsuki doesn't always give him shit about it, but sometimes she likes to remind him that she could be meaner than she is, and he should remember how lucky he is. The Todoroki children are the only ones allowed to pick on their father, so Fuyumi definitely ratted Mic out. Mitsuki whooped his ass, and made him pay for new backyard renovations.

-Yagi has no room to talk about Y/n and her chaotic tendencies. Although Touya agrees he's also just as chaotic. Best Jeanist is jealous because he always thinks somethings going on between Y/n and Gang Orca. (he's an idiot)

-Touya does get jealous because Y/n always sends the best care packages. She also sends Touya's seperately to his UA office so Hawks can't hoard everything to himself. Best Jeanist has everything Orca related for personal reasons <3

-Aizawa adopted Shinsou when he was around 7, and he adopted Eri when her grandfather died.(She was 3 at the time) The man had taken preventive measure to ensure his granddaughter and her quirk didn't end up in the wrong hands. He's closed himself off to dating. His last relationship was difficult for him, and the woman he dated never really liked the fact that he had kids.

-Enji was forced to marry Rei at the demand of his parents. They had 4 children together before Rei lost her shit and left. She did end up burning Shoto. Enji and Mitsuki met through Inko and Yagi. Katsuki's father passed away when he was a baby, and Mitsuki left Japan so she could heal. Now, Enji and Mitsuki are happily married and raising their blended family. Enji makes sure to talk about Masaru with Katsuki as much as he can. Katsuki enjoys that he has siblings. Fuyumi is his favorite.

-Yagi took in his mentor's grandson, when he'd found out what happened to the boys family due to his quirk. He'd met Inko at some point and the two married. Yagi knew Izuku was quirkless and he, Inko, Enji, and Mitsuki had discussed the possibility of giving Izuku OFA. Tenko is a recovery hero and a substitute at UA. Yagi and Enji are the oldest of the group.

-Oboro and Present Mic are Shouta's closest friends and his most chaotic. Oboro suffered an accident during a work study in high school. He's not fully who he used to be, but his friends are always there for him. They both want to see Shouta happy and married.

-Jeanist is the cool, calm, and snobby of the group. He and Mitsuki always have beef because they work in the same industry. He's pretty sure Mitsuki would slit his throat if she had the chance. (She so would)

-Natsuo, Touya, and Fuyumi have somehow become friends with their dads friends. It's a sore point for Natsuo a lot of the time, but he just doesn't connect well with others his age. Fuyumi's father scares everyone off and Touya enjoys being a problem child. He and Shouta often spend steak outs together, so Shouta would count the young man as one of his best friends

-Y/n actually worked with Gang when she was in high school. Thanks to the animal thing he's now been sequestered into being her friend. He won't admit it, but his friends make him feel young even if they are a bunch of idiots.

-Cathleen Bate was Y/n's mentor. She's sad to see her protégé leave, but she's also relieved that the woman will be giving All Might trouble for a little while. She gives All Might shit all the time.

-Lady Nagant is an underground hero. She works at Aizawa's underground agency. She's the only one of the group with a steady head on her shoulders since she spends most her time in the shadows. She's excited to see how Y/n is going to turn Japan on its head when she arrives.

-Y/n has no problem throwing Gang Orca under the bus. She still doesn't understand what he see's in the denim hero. Y/n doesn't 'hate' All Might, but she doesn't really like him either. She has some respect for him as a hero, but she also thinks that younger him should have gotten a severe ass whoopin for his cockiness. Touya and Y/n poke fun at eachother just to irritate Hawks. She knew Touya was going to find what she asked for because she'd told him first that she was relocating to Japan. Y/n does in fact like to Yowl at the birds.

She's a limelight hero with anger issues, so she's unsure how Japan's going to be able to handle her.
