don’t turn away.
don’t turn away from reality.
don’t turn away from the brutality.
look into the eyes of the innocents.
listen to them wail in agony.
listen to them fighting for freedom.
they’re being annihilated right in front of our eyes.
don’t turn away.
don’t turn away till they’re free.
— from the river to the sea, 🍉 will be free.

Moments passing by,
As i’m sitting in a cosy indie bookstore,
Holding up a pen,
Attempting to write in my poetry journal,
Hoping that i could put my thoughts into a string of words.
The voices are too loud,
But the words are not forming into full sentences.
I keep trying but i can’t.
At this point, i’m just rambling everything that’s
left on my mind.
— a writer’s call for help

September when I first met you,
Autumn leaves cascading throughout the chilly night.
While you wrapped your hands around my face,
You said that I had an ethereal smile.
Shivers ran down my spine,
As your cold rosy lips warmed mine.
You’re a piece of my memory now,
As September nights are never the same anymore.

Your tight hugs,
emanating warmth from your heart.
Your mysterious soul,
intriguing like a work of art.
Your fascinating flaws,
makes you the admirable being that sets you apart.
Your reassuring presence,
unearths a friend from a gloomy rut.
Thank you for being you.
i wanted to share this poem that i wrote for a friend 🖋️✨ i love handwritten letters and writing poems for my loved ones. it’s certainly a lost art 🤎

Your art is not for everyone but it’ll capture the heart of the right ones.
You can’t please everyone but when you put your heart and soul into something,
YOU CREATE MAGIC.
That magic would lead you to the right ones.
Your art has a soul.
You art has a story to tell.
Don’t worry about the algorithm.
Just create and put it out there.

CATASTROPHE & LIGHT
Amidst the catastrophe and light, there's a deep blackhole filled with darkness,
and there's an ocean filled by the silence of solace.
Amidst a tornado of negative emotions,
There's a ray of sunshine on the other side.
Amidst of feeling rejected by the world,
I'm that alien that chooses to stay in the middle, to find the balance in life.

A love letter to myself 🤎
To be comfortable in your own skin,
To be confident in what you wear,
To be able to walk freely on the streets
without any judgemental stares,
To be able to keep your heads up high
despite all the noises from the virtual world.
To be rejected by boys in school for not looking like their ideal type.
To forget what was said to you in the past about how you look.
To forgive yourself for trying to fit into societal standards of beauty.
To appreciate yourself for who you truly are within instead of scrutinising your physical beauty.
To be there for yourself at every phase of your self-love and healing process.
To be prepared for anything that life throws at you.
you do you, love!
self-love is a journey and you’ve come so far.
i’m proud of you.

RAW SOUL.
Don’t try to be someone that you’re not. That act never last. There is nothing more powerful than being your true self— to be that raw soul.
Often, we end up trying so hard to fit in till we forget who we truly are within. We become someone whom we are not. Why do we always fear to be ourselves? Our built-in insecurities, too afraid to lose people and to protect ourselves from being judged, right? Is it even worth it though? Does it really matter what anyone thinks of you?
The power is within us; to be our most authentic form. Go on, try it! Can you feel that freedom? Able to breathe without suffocating? Your whole universe feeling less heavier? Well, that’s more worth it.
I admire people who are so raw. You would just know it from the way they speak, the way they make you feel; the vibe & the way their eyes glow when they’re just being themselves. Meeting such souls certainly helped me reconnect with my true self. 💫

It takes a whole lot of courage to face this overcritical society. It’s funny how we are called out for advocating self-love & body positivity. We are all quick to label someone for being themselves. Why though? Why is it such a necessity to comment on someone’s life or how they want to portray themselves to the world? They are comfortable. They love themselves for who they truly are. Let them be.
One argues that advocating body positivity is not okay because we are accepting the fact that it’s alright to be unhealthy. That’s the most ridiculous thing i’ve heard. Nobody ever said that it’s okay to be unhealthy. Staying fit is a decision that should be made based on individuality. In my perspective, it’s extremely pivotal to accept ourselves for who we are first before working on other aspects in our lives. I’ve been down that road and I understand that it does not work that way for everyone. However, it’s not our place to point out at someone for talking about self love or/and motivating someone to accept themselves as well.
The world needs to express more compassion and to be more sensible. Everyone has their own story. You have no idea what they had gone through in their journey (The amount of bullies, teasing & naysayers) to reach a point where they can finally accept themselves and put themselves out there to inspire others.
This is for everyone of you out there in regardless of gender, height, weight, body shape and colour. Never let someone dull your shine.

Life is extremely fragile.
It’s filled with fearful fates,
and unexpected outcomes.
Live your life like you’re inhaling and exhaling your final breath— to fill it with beautiful moments.

We shouldn’t be afraid of our enemies.
The ones closest to us, yeah, they’re the danger- the ones who’ll be standing with an arrow and aiming to pierce right through us from the back.
