Watched Silence of Lambs and Red Dragon for the first time today. It's so interesting to see where certain lines, characters, or events had influence on the Hannibal tv show. Also, I wonder if Clarice Starling inspired Mariam Lass' character in the tv show, especially given her relationship with Jack Crawford. I know Agent Lass never became a special agent, but Clarice and Jack's dynamic felt very similar to Miriam and Jack's in the show.

Just realized that Hannibal copied everything that Garret Jacob Hobbs originally did to his family. The only difference is that he failed (I use that word loosely, as I am sure Hannibal did not intend to kill Will) to kill Abigail’s other “parent” (Will) and accomplished killing her. Everything Hannibal does somehow connects, or has a pattern. It’s quite interesting.
