Imagine your parent f/o tucking you into bed at night, with some kind of comfort item or stuffed animal, singing you to sleep or reading you a bedtime story, or lying down with you listening to whatever you like to listen to.

Imagine your strict/controlling f/o seeing you in a state of high-apathy and helping you through it. Not letting you lie in bed. Getting you up in the morning, making you healthy foods and snacks. Making sure you get (minimum) a few minutes of sunlight. Making sure you know, and repeat after them that you have worth and are good and that the world is thankful for you living in it.

Imagine your f/o telling you a story to help you fall asleep. Whey kind of story do they tell? Maybe it's magical and vast and adventurous, or maybe they just tell you about their day. Or maybe they pick out your favorite book and read passages from it. Whatever helps you sleep!

Imagine your f/o discovering your sleeping in a new location tonight. Whether that's on the couch, under the table, what-have-you. How do they react? Do they chide you? Are they worried? Do they pack up all like, 'whelp, I guess this is where we're sleeping tonight'?

Imaging your parental f/o seeing something you're interested in and incorporating it into the way they communicate with you. Watching the shows you use to understand the world. Explaining concepts to you through the lense of your favorite activities.

just wanna say the "f/os helping with mundane things" idea really struck me in a good way because my parents ... i think without meaning to, kind of de-legitimize my preferences/concerns. like when i am stressed about my food being touched (i have very real food allergies and restrictions) or washing my hands (they eat things i cant and then touch surfaces so i have to wash my hands to avoid cross contamination) or even just. expressing frustration at my body being injured again (i happens A Lot and takes a long time to heal) they sort of .. make me feel really bad and stupid about it. ive literally taken to imagining my f/o (i call him my husband lol) doing the opposite of what they do, even then its hard sometimes. idk :') i didnt mean to go on forever i just really love the idea of someone ... treating me better i guess. im told its my problem for interpreting things wrong and maybe thats correct. idk. anyway its really really nice to see little reminders that maybe someday itll be different. as a disabled adult still living at home, i am grateful to my parents but sometimes i dream of better. f/o stuff really helps. you make a difference by sharing your ideas. thank you <3

This is so lovely. Yeah, it can be really tough when dealing with things that other people would consider "no big deal," especially so close to home. But your f/o is there for you, and will always care for you, and that counts. ♡

Imagine your f/o helping you through situations that would seem mundane to other people but severely stress you out. Like a song stuck loudly in your head, or an injured hangnail, or low vitamin levels, or lips so chapped it hurts. They are there for you, helping you, distracting you, caring for you. Giving you sympathy. Loving you.

There is no shame in imagining anything with your f/os.
Imagine they have powers and you're the only person in the world who isn't affected. Imagine you caught their eye over a crowded bar and then they couldn't get you out of their head. Imagine you both were reaching for a book at the same time and your hands touched.
The world is limitless. Your mind is limitless.
