This week I had a lovely conversation with an older dyke who reminded me how much a lot of people have always hated TERFs and SWERFs. 

She was talking about the time in the 1970s and 1980s when she was a young radical dyke and how many of the awesome dykes in the radical scene were trans women. So I asked her if there was ever any problem with TERFs and SWERFs. She didn’t know those words so I described them. Her reply was:

“Oh, you mean the political lesbians? That’s what we called them at the time, no one really considered them radical. They hated everyone. They hated bisexual women who dated men. They hated us leather dykes and kinky dykes because they thought we were ‘copying the patriarchy’, they hated trans women. None of us in the radical scene liked them. A lot of them later left and admitted that they were straight but were presured to identify as lesbians in that group because being a feminist to them meant cutting all ties with men. They were like a cult. Intense stuff. ”

And like, I know her memories don’t have global relevance and there have also been places where TERFs had a much more prominent impact on the local radical women’s community, but still, to hear how despised these TERFs have always been by these truly radical dykes cheered me up a lot.

but I think people should be aware how their fanbase consists mostly of minors and how fish has linked their pornhub account to their blog and advertised it, their discord server has open nsfw content despite being full of minors, and the moderators for said discord server are all adults who have expressed their support for "MAPs" and other pedophiles/enablers. Along with that "make me your fucktoy" joke post that became really creepy when they reblogged it with "oops wrong blog O_o dont let me stop you tho!"

Besides the "wild lesbian" situation and the fucking infantalism and trivialism of LGBT+ and equal rights groups like Black Lives Matter to generate clout, people need to be aware just how potentially dangerous this blog is and how they seem to be actively scamming children into pledging money to their patreon (which includes a $1 pledge and a $3 "lgbt+ sunglasses™" pledge) in return for being lovebombed along with them giving off red flags of being an abuser, or at least enabling and supporting it

nobody should have such a large online following of kids that have a cult-like devotion to them and I honestly think the best course of action would be to push them off their social media platforms because this person is clearly displaying their ability to manipulate and exploite children, whether it is through social, monetary or sexual exploitation

Y'know, just kids trying to make depression seem trendy...

On a real level though, this glamorization of depression actually makes me sick. As a person who has suffered from clinical depression before, i can admit that yes, it does feel good sometimes to joke about it, as it can be like a coping mecanism, but what i've been seeing online for quite some time now, all those kids making jokes after jokes on their DEprEssIOn looks to me like 1) kids thinking it's trendy to be sad which shows how little they actually understand of depression and 2) them complaining about something without even doing anything to change it in the first place! I mean, if you wanna wallow in your depression or sadness so bad then go ahead, but stop complaining about it. Also stop acting like because you haven't gotten better yet, no one ever will. What are you getting from scaring other people who are struggling?

It's completely okay to share your feelings, thoughts, and struggles, but you can't glamorize or make a joke out of it!

Also, being depressed is not a personality trait. I know it can be hard to realize that yourself, but trust me please, you are not depression, don't lock yourself up in that box.

And if you're not even depressed to begin with, why do you want to be depressed so bad? It's a serious question I'm asking you guys. What is so appealing to you about depression? Why don't you want to be healthy? There are others ways to exist to the outside world. You could exist by being yourself for starters. You could exist by spreading love and kindness, because that would actually help our world. That's what we need. Not for you to makes jokes on being depressed and be negative 24/7.

Another issue this whole trend raises, is the decridibilization of people who actually suffer from depression. Nowadays, everybody knows about this mental disorder, and all use this term, but do you really know what being depressed means? Stop normalizing depression. While it is important to talk about it and break down stereotypes so we can live in a more accepting world, making it seem as normal as getting the flue is not okay. Suffering from depression is not as simple as getting the flue. By saying that I'm not implying that people who suffer from this disorder are "abnormal" and thus should be feared/ignored/disliked, rather that they should realize that it is not normal and okay to feel like that, and they are things they can do to feel better, because they deserve it.

I'm sorry, I feel like I'm being pretty blunt and rude in this post, which is very unlike me, and i truly hope i will not hurt anyone with my words, it is not my intention at all!!!
