"His Priority" Delay! đ„Č
I'm so sorry that I haven't posted anything last month. College really got to me this time.
I'm still working on the tea, but the process has been getting slow due to my assignments.
Since this is the longest chapter, I might need some more time. I apologize if you were waiting for the update, and I promise to get there. I'll keep everyone updated on my progress for this story.
The Upcoming Update for "His Priority" đ«Ł
There isn't a new chapter for "His Priority" yet.
I'm working on making the chapter longer than it usually is, and I hope that makes up for the long wait. đ (And if you're a really fast reader... try savoring the tea đ”đ)
That and I recently began my college classes again, so I promise I won't forget any of you! đ
I'll estimate that the new chapter will come around either the end of this month or, hopefully, sooner.
Thank you for your patience, everyone!đ€đ„°

His Priority {Donnie x Reader}
Chapter 4: Let Him Go
The past three weeks gave you surprises, like Casey finding you, and revealing his break up with April. You didnât want to even think about your own break up. Right now, youâre hanging out with Raph, training on the rooftop. He really made you work out your anger, and it was satisfying.
âAlright bug, thatâs it for today, feeling better?â Raph pulled a towel and water from his bag and tossed them to you.
âSo much better, thanks for this.â You wiped your face and neck with the towel. âI really appreciate you taking the time to train tonight.â You open the water bottle and begin drinking it in gulps.
âNo problem, but is that all you called me for?â Raph raised an eyebrow and hanged his towel around his neck.Â
âWhat do you mean?â You asked, as far as you thought, you just wanted to release some stress.
âItâs been a few days since then, I was just wondering if you had any curiosity.â Raph leaned against the wall opening his bottle. Well, he wasnât wrong, you did have some questions about how Donnie is now, but you were better off not asking.
âI do, but itâs better if I donât know anything. Whether heâs figuring things out, comfortable, heartbroken, or moved on. I rather not know any of that right now. I know heâs your brother and you care for him, but since heâs my ex, there shouldnât be a reason for me to hold his burden. Whatever that may be.â You sat down and sighed out of exhaustion. Youâve always been honest to Raph about how you really felt, and you hope that this doesnât change your friendship. Looks like Donnie really did listen to you this time. He left and didnât come back, the city has felt silent at night since then.
âThatâs alright, but since weâre on that topic, howâs Casey?â Raph smiles when you playfully glare at him.
âHeâs annoying as usual, thanks for that.â You threw your towel towards him, he instinctively doges the towel in disgust. You laugh and continue, âHeâs doing good, he found a new roommate to crash with while he tries to look for an apartment. Maybe just a studio apartment.â
âAinât he crashing with his cop buddy? Whatâs his name..â Raph sits next to you, thinking.
âBenjamin, he just calls him Ben though.â You snicker at the name, sure itâs a ridiculous name, but your ex was named after a literal artist.
âAh right, Benji. Anyways, since you're both doing good, how about the three of us hanging out next time? Drinks are on Casey.â Raph smirks, probably plotting what to do for that night. Knowing his schemes, this might include turning Casey into his drunk puppet. Oh how you missed the embarrassing display.
A notification sound came from Raph, he grabbed his cell and slumped at the message. Guess itâs time to go back to work.
âPatrol time sucks sometimes,â Raph stands along and picks up his bag, âGet home safe, alright bug?â
âAlright, see you later, snappy.â You chuckle at his groan as he walks away. This time, going home isnât a problem. Your thoughts are not loud and your body just wants rest for the first time in two days. You're betting that tomorrow is gonna get better.
____________
This morning felt so refreshing, no work today but you guess a walk around the city can help you occupy your mind. Your body has been feeling sore from training last night, you hate that feeling when you just want to be energized. Grabbing your bag and keys, you left your apartment and walked outside on the busy sidewalk.
Youâve been keeping tabs with Casey this morning, he wanted to grab breakfast again but something came up for him. So, itâs just you listening to your music, minding your own business. You gave your single life luxury, there's no way you can stay away from your favorite stores.
Then there it is, your store, more like your playground. Itâs a store that had it all aside from clothes, you were more into gaming. A nerdy side to you that you didnât show often. Why not see whatâs available for today.
Going into the store was like going through your Christmas list. So many consoles and enough games to entertain you for months. As you're going through the games on the shelves, you didnât realize someone was talking to you. You felt a hesitant tap on your shoulder and you turned around surprised. Itâs AprilâŠgreat. Now you wish you didnât even turn around.
You refrained from rolling your eyes and took out your earphones reluctantly. âCan I help you?â Your voice was neutral, and you didnât want her to think that there's a chance for any sort of friendship.
âUh hey, I just wanted to see if we could talk.â She seemed a little hesitant by this interaction, but she stayed firm.
âWe already are, I doubt you're here to have a girl time.â You exhaled through your nose as you slowly walked around the store to see more game options.Â
âYeaâŠI just wanted to say that nothing happened between me and Donnie. He was just someone I could always count on when things got difficult.â April explains while following you around, and you clench your jaw a little. And Casey isnât?
âI already had this conversation with him. Look, I appreciate you defending him, but things are a little more complicated because of him.â You tried to wave her off, hoping that your response would be enough to make her walk away. She was quiet for a moment, and you took that as a cue to walk away. âAlright, if thatâs all it is then, bye-âÂ
âHeâs not in a good place.â April stopped you from ending the conversation with a slap of a burden. You talked about this with Raph last night, and now sheâs the one feeding to your unwanted thoughts.
âAre you serious right now?â You stared coldly into her eyes.
âHeâs not in a good place. Donnie hasnât been himself lately, he refuses to leave the lab, barely eats, and works himself to the bone, even in the dojo. Everyoneâs worried about him, while you're picking out a game. Just where he knew you would be.â She stands her ground and frowns slightly at your reaction.Â
Your blood was boiling and your hands were clenching in the pocket of your hood. There is no way that she felt like she had the right to call you out as if you were in the wrong. You couldnât really help but be angry enough to laugh at her. She was taken back by your sudden laughter.
âYou think I can help him cure his depression? Make him happy? You? The girl who became his number one since day one. The redhead that couldnât help herself to be around him when it was convenient.â You stared at her menacingly. Two can play the âtalk shitâ game. While sheâs here you might as well humble her.
âYes, I do think that maybe if you talk to him, he can get better. I know Iâm the last person you want to see, but if you put your petty feelings aside then you can help Donnie. I wasnât exaggerating about his well-being.â She speaks as if sheâs wise and reasonable, but letâs play this out.
âFine, but under one condition,â You step forward, making her take a step back, and you lean forward a little, âlet him go.â Her face shows how confused she is. How pathetic.
âLet him go? What are you-â She was about to say something ignorant, until you cut her off on her bullshit.
ââWhat are you talking about?ââ, You mocked her, âOh please, save me the fake confusion. I have the right to be petty, you donât have the right to be so righteous. You want to be his savior sweetheart , then you should start giving him some type of closure. Let. Him. Go.â You sternly gave her the option, no, the obligation to make the choice. You know deep down that if you went to help Donnie, she would be given the credit, his appreciation, his admiration, his praise.
Her eyes widened at your demand, she readjusted herself and exhaled through her nose, "Letting him go would mean that I would be losing a best friend. I canât just cut ties with him like that. We can establish boundaries, if thatâs what you want.â
âAh, there it is.â You chuckle humorlessly.
âIâm being serious. We can get along somehow, we-â April wanted to keep her composure as best she could by extending the olive branch. You're just not in the mood for âpeaceâ right now, not this kind.Â
âWe? Let me be blunt, you have rubbed me the wrong way ever since I had to watch Donnie make a fool of himself for you. Even right before we broke up, he just lied to make you a priority over me. You want to be the peacemaker for Donnieâs sake, good for you, but Iâm not sorry for not enjoying your presence, or even listening to your annoying noun of a name. Good-bye.â You readjusted your bag and walked away, your feet dragged you out of the scene as fast as they could. Another minute with her and you probably wouldâve seen red.
All you wanted was a damn game, but no, somehow thatâs ruined too. And Donnie⊠now that you know that he isnât doing well, you hope that he can understand the situation. Wait, understand ? He should do whatever it takes to figure himself out even if itâs breaking him. Youâve been dealing with almost breaking apart for almost your whole relationship, even friendship. Itâs only fair.
You heard her raising her voice, sheâs still following you outside. âWait! Hey, we're not done here.â She calls out your name and finally catches up to you. Her hand lands on your shoulder. Bad move. You turn around and slap her arm away and you finally give it to her.
âFor fucks sake- Just go out with him! How stupid do you think I am? You honestly expect me to believe that you were never once curious, because even Casey thinks so.â You were seeing red, you really didnât want to hurt her, so you might as well bring her down. April glared at you, she finally looked just as angry as you did.
âThat was really uncalled for, what happened with me and Casey-â She instantly shut her mouth at a familiar voice.
âMe and Casey what?â Casey raised an eyebrow as he stood behind her. Everyone stood silent, so much tension was in the air that everyone walking on the sidewalk avoided their gaze. After a minute, Casey walked past her and stood right beside you, he looked down to meet your eyes.
âAre you okay?â He asked, tilting his head. His face was calm, as if he wasnât even standing in front of his ex right now. How is he doing that? You didnât trust your voice, so all you did was nod.
âCaseyâŠâ April whispered almost longingly, her eyes stare at him in disbelief, and in awe. He did mention to you that he hasnât seen her since the break up, and that was three weeks ago. Yet it seemed longer for her, based on her expression.
âSo whatâs this about? If I can even ask.â Casey gave her a neutral look, his voice was almost freezing cold. April didnât seem prepared to encounter him.
âItâs just⊠Donnie isnât doing very well.â Her nose slightly scrunched at the name she blurted out.
âDonnie huh? Well, send him my best. Shall we?â Casey lays one hand on my shoulder to turn us away.
âI know you're not his biggest fan, but his condition is really bad, he needs help. Iâm doing what I can, but he needs her.â She just wouldnât let it go. Your hands clenched tightly, and he noticed.
âSheâs not your biggest fan either, so Iâm helping her right now. He needs her now, but she needed him way before this. So, Iâm gonna have to ask you to stop trying to fix something out of your reach. Itâs tiring.â He sighed and continued to make us walk away from her. You turned your head and observed how defeated she looked. You didnât know if it was for Donnie or Casey. Casey said your name softly, rubbing your arm.
âIf something like this happens again, just let me know. You almost seemed ready to punch her.â His calm voice was bringing you back from your thoughts. This became emotionally draining for you, and you were really thankful that Casey was around.
You were also worried about Caseyâs wellbeing, but he repeated several times that heâs fine. As you both walked, there was still silence, but a calmer silence. This is what you needed, a moment of peace from the angry thoughts running through you at a thousand miles a minute.
Ugh, how annoying.

(Let's confront Donnie đ)
Chapter 3: Figure It Out
Having Chinese take-out is something you donât regret getting. You want to get rid of the taste of your date night's dinner. Was that petty? You didnât give a damn if it was. Your night was already ruined, so why not replace it with this. Spending the night with the best chicken, fried rice, and a side of egg rolls. Letâs not forget the fortune cookies.
To up the ante, you decided to put on various movies to your mood. Your sour mood brought you to the horror movie section. These movies were a way of releasing your anger without doing violence yourself. Youâd cheer for the villain instead of the victims, and yes itâs a little wild to think this way, but you're not feeling hopeful at all.
The trip home was just sad, your tears wouldnât stop streaming down your face on the way home. When you ordered delivery, you tried not to let the delivery person see your face. Your anger rises from your sadness when you unlock your phone and see a notification of Donnie. You blocked his number completely and just went about your own night. Without even knowing what message he sent, you didnât need it.
This is the first time that your mind didnât wander off to what Donnie was doing. Your entertainment and appetite really did wonders for your comfort. You're completely involved in your own activity that you didnât even hear knocking from your room window. You did notice it when you had to pause for a bathroom break.
You groaned, you knew whose knock that was, and you were hoping it was Raph instead. Guess that message your bestie sent didnât make it to his million brain cells. You wanted to ignore his knocking, but you heard him start to try opening the window. Standing up in irritation, you made your way to the window. Seeing the shadow behind the curtain already has your blood boiling.Â
You snatched the curtain open and witnessed Donnie flinch while opening the window halfway through already. You stare at him through the glass, your eyebrows frowning and you're pretty sure you're glaring.
âI uh, got the message from Raph but I wanted you to know that nothing happened betw-â You stopped him from explaining by opening the window the rest of the way. Instead of inviting him in like you usually do, you went out through the window yourself. He took some steps back, shocked by your action.
âYou were saying?â You crossed your arms and leaned against your window frame. Donnie readjusted himself and noticed your body language was the same, but this time you were tense with anger.
"Nothing happened between me and April today. Not even throughout this relationship, and I wanted to make that clear before things got out of hand." He clarifies calmly, hoping you would understand that he would never hurt you that way.
"I prefer you did cheat." You knew he was telling the truth but that couldn't take away your doubts.
"Wait, what?" He was perplexed by your statement.
"Yea, it would be better that you did cheat, than having to continuously wonder why you would put her first. There are other ways to hurt someone you love, and this was it, Donatello." Calling out his full name made him flinch. There's no going back now.
"I wasn't trying to put her first-"
"Then why did you lie your way to 'rescue' her?" You sarcastically arched two fingers to emphasize the rescue bullshit you put up with.
"That appears to be the number one question tonight." Donnie frowns at the repeated question.
"Well?!" You frustratingly asked, hating to wait for the response.
"I don't know! I don't understand why I did, and I'm sorry. I'mâŠI really am sorry." He looks like he's going through a series of emotions you haven't witnessed before. Not even when you were friends at the time. It's concerning how that question brought this reaction out of him.
"I think you need time to figure that question out. I refuse to continue this relationship like this. Even you donât even understand why, and that will only get worse down the line.â You lay it out for him, knowing itâll hurt him and not just him. You watch his face turn from confliction into immediate realization.
âW-wait, you donât mean breaking upâŠdo you?â His words were slowly breaking and it broke you a little. You see his tears building up and you try to look away from him. You rarely ever see him cry, and you want to pretend that he isnât.Â
âThatâs what needs to happen. Just figure yourself out, and as for now, we can just focus on our own things.â Not wanting to handle another second of this, you turn around and make your way to the window. âItâs best if you leave now.â You climb back inside your room without another word. This was hurting you more than you realized. Never in your years of knowing him would you dare break up with him. Looks like the impossible outcomes can become a reality, unexpectedly so.
Closing the window and curtain behind you, the tension left your body, not from relief but from the amount of sadness you were holding in. You dragged yourself back to your living room and let your tears run the moment you lay on the couch.
You had to break his heart so he wouldnât keep breaking yours. It was a lose situation either way if you tried to give him another chance. This was the smart decision to make, but it was emotionally awful. You hope he doesnât come back again, because you donât know if you can handle another conversation like that. As you cry yourself to sleep you begin to wonder how long it will take for the pain to go away.
__________________
Morning came and you woke up on the sofa, guess you didnât feel like moving to your bed. Not wanting to be around the same area you broke up with Donnie, hell you donât think you would sleep there at all. You got up from the sofa with a groan, you really got to get a new couch.
Reaching down your phone, the time is 8:00 a.m, and you kind of want to sleep in. At the same time you wanted to get away from your home for a bit. You decided to shower and change your clothes to eat out for breakfast.
Once you finished getting ready, you packed your laptop and sketchbook, hoping to distract yourself during the day. Leaving your apartment, you sighed in relief when the nice cool breeze caressed your face the moment you stepped out. Shitty day yesterday, healing time today.
Walking around the busy streets of New York, you paid attention to your surroundings. Construction crews using their machines, women walking in a friend group gossiping, teenagers joking around, the smell of tempting food all over the place. This place can be chaotic at times, but when you let it grow on you, it can be a nice experience day by day.
Arriving at your favorite cafe, you instantly feel at home. The smell of coffee, donuts, and breakfast is so welcoming. Itâs a small place and the best part is that it isnât crowded. Most of the customers are busy beeâs, they just order their food and go.
As you order your breakfast, you notice someone familiar at the corner of your eye. The nice lady gives you the order and you thank her. Turning around, you see Casey sitting alone, looking down at his coffee. This surprises you, he didnât come to this cafe before, or ever. He usually goes to the cafe April prefers, every time. You make your way towards him, but slowly. This intention might be for Donnies sake, so you take a deep breath and pray that it isnât.
âHey, Casey.â You greet him calmly, he flinches out of his thoughts and looks up. You noticed the bags under his eyes and frowned slightly. âYou okay? This is the first time I see you here of all places.â
âWha-oh.â He shook off his reaction and smiled. âYea, itâs my first time here, didnât know this was your territory.â You didnât miss how he was forcing his smile to make conversation.
âMore like a comfort place to me, Iâll leave you to your morning. Seems like you need it, and I recommend the croissant breakfast sandwich to get the whole experience.â You smiled back and slowly walked away but his hand reached out.
âWait. Uh, mind having breakfast with a friend?â Casey almost pleaded, and even if you had plans for yourself, you knew something was wrong with him. Heâs a good friend, and you both used to confide in each other a lot, well that was before him and April were a thing. Your friendship grew distant in a few weeks.
âSure..â You sat across from him and got comfortable. Itâs his first time here, yet you're getting the feeling he knew that you were going to this cafe. âBeen a while since we had a chat.â
âYea, sorry about that. I shouldâve been contacted once in a while.â The first apology is genuine, so this isnât to help Donnie. Good.
âThen how about we get straight to the point like old times, whatâs happening to you?â You pointed under your eyes to point out the bags under his eyes. âHad a shitty night or something?â
âWell you can say that.â Casey chuckled humorlessly, and rubbed his stubble jaw. You patiently waited for him to continue, it seems like itâs hard for him to come up with how to say it. âI broke up with April last night.â
âWhat?â Your eyes were wide in shock. Casey broke up with April. The second biggest simp other than Donnie when it came to April. Well shit. The impossible can be possible after all. âYou broke up with April O'Neil? What the hell happened?â He broke up with her the same time you broke up with Donnie. Is this a coincidence?
He readjusted himself to ready himself for this conversation. âShe manages to leave every night to sneak around for material that she can report for her news article. Iâve always asked if I could tag along, only for her to reject my offer and reassure me that..someone else would be there for her.â This was a no brainer.
âYou mean Donnie, right. Itâs fine if you want to expose his name in this situation. Iâm not too happy with him right now.â You roll your eyes and start eating your breakfast.
âWait, so you know that he helps her every time she needs him?â Casey points out with a slight frown.
âOh yea. Somehow sheâs more of a priority than me. So just like you, I broke up with him. I deserve to be at the top of his list, but what do I get? Being dead last.â You sip on your coffee to calm yourself down. April is his ex-girlfriend, but you're trying your hardest not to bad mouth her.
âExactly!â Casey blurted out and instantly flinched by how loud he was. Looking around, he apologized to everyone else while you giggled. You do miss interactions like this with him. So you have to take this opportunity to get serious with him about this topic.
âHave you ever wondered if maybe, they sparked feelings for each other while being in a relationship with us?â You cautiously asked him, as you're stirring your coffee with the straw. He turned his attention back to you, then looking down at his coffee, contemplating on what heâs gonna say next.
âI didnât want to think about it, but for the past few weeks, Iâve seen her happier going out at night than staying in with me.â His words brought out a spike of sadness out of you. This conversation might have just brought your friendship close again. You reached out and placed your hand on top of his. Making eye contact with each other again, you knew that there's a lot of healing to be done here.
âMind spending the day with a friend?â You reused the same question he asked you a couple minutes ago.Â
He chuckles lightly and places his other hand over yours. âSure.â
âDid you really come here not knowing that this is my usual cafe?â You slightly tilt your head and give him a suspicious look.
âHonestly, I knew. Raph suggested I go here if I needed a new area for coffeeâŠand some company.â He confessed with an apologetic smile.
âGuess I should thank him for resurrecting this friendship.â You gave him a genuine smile for the first time, and retracted your hand. âHow about we finish breakfast and hit the arcade for a bit.â
âSounds like weâre becoming best friends already.â Caseyâs mood got lighter, and his posture finally relaxed. Looks like weâre heartbroken partners in crime. Breaking our own hearts for our own sake and now on the road to heal ourselves together.
Not the ideal way to reunite your friendship, but you guess that this is for the better. No boyfriend, renewed friendship, and a journey to recover your heart. Maybe the day did start off well after all.
YeaâŠweâll figure this out.

(Who's fault is it really?)
Chapter 2: The One at Fault
âWhat do you mean Donnie isnât with her?â Leo asks, surprised that his nerdy brother would act this way.
âOur big brain brother lied to her to help April, even used us to make her think that weâre resting. Enough info for ya?â Raphâs sarcastic attitude was enough to show Leo that he was furious. He can be short-tempered in general, but this was personal.
âShouldnât we check on her instead of confronting Donnie?â Mikey was more worried about you, he even knew your change in emotion whenever Donnie left. This problem wasnât really hidden from them, they all knew how much Donnie would run to April. Although they know he was loyal to you at heart, yet it didnât erase the fact that he always ran to April no matter what.Â
None of them understand why, except they suspect that he still has some feelings for her. Of course they kept their mouths shut in case it wasnât true. They didnât want you hurting more than you already are now.
âThereâs the little prick.â Raph finally spotted him walking alongside April.
âRaph. Before you start-â Leo was ignored by his furious brother, no surprise there.Â
âWell there he goes, should we just watch?â Mikey stood next to his eldest. Leo sighed and nodded to his little brother. They both followed towards the oncoming disaster.
_____________
âThanks a lot Don, you always have my back.â April smiles up at him.
âThatâs what friends are for. Think you got what you needed?â Donnie chuckles and looks down at his phone for the time. He was wondering if you were home right now.
âWorried about her?â April tilts her head with a smirk.
âWell-â Donnie was cut off by a sai landing close to his feet. He jumped back quickly with April.
âIf it isnât the twerp who bailed on us, what gives.â Raph landed in front of them and straightened himself up. Donnie frowned at his brotherâs entrance.
âFirst off, that was uncalled for. Second, I was just helping April get home.â Donnie lowered his staff and rolled his eyes.
âAnd before that?â Raph emphasized the question with a frown. Leo and Mikey landed alongside him before he got too testy.
âI was trying to get some intel on the illegal drugs being used on women who want to look younger. There was an advertisement for a syringe doctors can use for their patients. Reports have been made on this syringe, apparently some of these women are experiencing heart failures.â April explains the situation before Raph got the bad idea.
âAs horrible as that is, wouldnât the FDA ban that product after those serious reports?â Leo chimed in before Raph could.
âThatâs what Iâve been thinking, but I had a feeling that someone in the FDA was bought to keep their mouth shut. Thatâs where I came from actually. Thanks to Donnie I got out without suspicion or detection.â She smiles victoriously and bumps Donnieâs shoulder.
âItâs good that youâre alright April, but next time try to include us in.â Leo was happy for her, he just couldnât help himself to lecture her a little.
âEspecially since someone had to leave in the middle of the date to help.â Raph glared at Donnie, and he flinched a little.
âWait, you had a date today? And you left anyway?!â April was shocked and hit his arm.
âI had to, you were digging up dangerous material that couldâve gotten you into some real trouble.â Donnie rubbed his arm explaining himself.
âDonât you think we couldâve handled it, instead of you ditching her?â Raph poked at his actions.
âI didnât ditch her, I explained why I had to leave, and I promised to make it up to her. She was fine with it.â He looked at everyone like they were the jury. He didnât understand what the whole problem was.
âIs 'fine'Â the definition of her crying on the phone call when she realized you lied to her? And used us as part of your lie?â Raph squared up to him, his eyes flaring with anger.
âShe was? IâŠI didnât think that was that bad of a lie. I thought that was the only way to calm her down. You were all out on patrol already and I was closest to Aprilâs location.â Donnieâs sudden realization was slowly hitting him.
âDonnie, if that was the case, why didnât you say that to her in the first place?â Leo questioned him calmly.
â...I donât know..â Donnie tried to come up with an explanation but nothing came to mind. He thought lying to you was reasonable, however there wasnât a need for that.
âYou donât know?! Do you have any idea how this looks to her?!â Raph growled at him with tight fists. Leo got in between them while Mikey swiftly took his saiâs away.
âAlright, letâs calm down. How about I talk to her and explain the misunderstanding?â April tries to calm him down with the suggestion, she acknowledges his anger comes from how protective he is of you.
âIâm sorry April, but you're not exactly her favorite person, no thanks to this one here.â Raph rolled his eyes and gestured to Donnie, he glared in return.
âSheâs been hurting for a while now D, have you ever noticed how sad she gets when you leave like that?â Mikey hesitantly enters himself into the conversation.
âI agree with Mikey on this. Don if you're serious about your relationship with her then this should stop. April if you need any help with anything, you can contact the rest of us at any time.â Leo steps in, hopefully to diffuse the conversation.
âHold on, you guys make it sound like Iâm the homewrecker.â April frowns, offended by her friends' statements.
âWe know your not April-â The eldest was once again cut off.
âDoes Casey even know you're here? Little birdy told me you go out frequently without explaining why.â Raph retorted, with a raised non-existent brow.
âExcuse me? Casey has a lot to worry about, now that heâs in law enforcement. I canât worry him more about what Iâm doing to cover this story!â April protested.
âAlright thatâs enough! Look, weâre all tired so letâs get some shut eye and cool down. We shouldnât argue with each other just because Donnie messed up his relationship.â Leo got in between them and gave them stern looks. âNo offense.â He blandly told the brainiac brother, who was silent in thought.
âFine.â Raph and April both grumbled while glaring at each other.
âIâll be going first then, see you guys later.â April adjusted herself and walked away from the boys.
The three brothers turned away from Aprilâs departure and stared at Donnie. He looked at the rest of them and became frustrated.
âIâm not cheating on her. In fact, Iâm gonna go straight back to my girlfriend, and explain myself.â Donnie sneered at them, he turned to make his way back to you. But before he even tried, Raph had some more news for him.
âDonât even bother. She told me to tell you specifically, that she doesnât want you to make up the date. Sheâd rather be alone tonight.â Raph spoke out, and he froze in place. Donnie couldnât even look back at them. He only turned his head to the side so they could hear him.
âMaybe she does, but I still want to make things right with her. She can kick me out of her place herself if she wants to, but I want to at least talk to her.â Without waiting a second longer, he leaped off to make his way to you. He didnât understand why he did lie to you, and he wasnât sure how long his brothers assumed the worst from him. All he really knows is that he loves you, and even if most donât believe him, heâs hoping you did.

His Priority {Donnie x Reader}
Chapter 1: Ignore It
Youâve always known even before dating, that Donnie has always had a soft spot for April. You knew he even fell head over heels for her when you were just friends. The development of your relationship was a surprise to you, a wonderful surprise. His confession to you was something you thought was impossible.
Of course you confronted your concerns about his feelings for April, and he promised you that âMy feelings for her werenât really true, just a naive infatuation.â As the year went by he learned that you liked him longer than you wanted to admit. He expressed his happiness with corny love gestures and some awkward flirtation youâve come to love. The love you two shared that year was beautiful.
Two more years passed by and your relationship gradually changed. Not in the best way either. Sure you expected the love bird phase to fade, but not this much. Donnie was a loving nerd who would show you love on every opportunity he had. Yet, like today he hasnât been acting like he wanted those opportunities anymore.Â
Always busy in the lab, training, patrolling the city, was his thing and you understood that. That wasnât the problem at all. The main problem that has been showing for a year and a half is April. Whenever she asks for help, even if it's small, he makes it his life's mission to get to her. At first it wasnât bad, but now itâs downright infuriating. April this, April that, shit you didnât hate the girl, but Donnie might be the reason you would hate her.
You breathe in and out, and make your thoughts stop bothering you for now. Right now, you're on a date with Donnie, an occasion that you didnât think would happen again. Donnie sat with you on the rooftop, his arm gently around you. A box of pizza in front of you while the movie was shown at the Park. You smile to yourself while laying your head on his chest. This has been the most peaceful night.
Donnieâs phone rings its notification and your smile turns sour. He took out his phone and sat up straight. Just by that, you already knew who it was.
âCanât you just ignore it?â You asked politely, you want to pretend that it doesnât bother you.
âI canât, Iâm sorry. April needs help right now.â Donnie kisses your head and stands up. âIâll make up date night for you, promise.â Oh hell no.
âSeriously, in the middle of a date? Is it even an emergency?â You stood up with him and crossed your arms.
âNot exactly, but she tends to bump into trouble whenever she sniffs out a story. You know sheâs a journalist now.â He sighs and picks up his gear, preparing himself.
âThen why canât she ask Casey to help her?â You raise your eyebrows when he scoffs at your question.
âI doubt that bone head could help her make a clean escape.â He turns towards you and gives you a questioning look. âWhat's with the defensive body language, itâs not like Iâm doing anything Iâm not supposed to.â
âMaybe youâre not, but donât you think this has become a little intrusive? You have brothers that can help her too, why does it have to be you?â You frown at his oblivious question. Why canât he see that this whole April thing has been too often?
Donnie rubs your shoulders tenderly and looks down at you. You canât deny that his eyes have ways of calming you down, but itâs not happening now. You're not gonna ignore this anymore.
âMy brothers are resting today and they deserve it. Iâll be quick, and when I come back we can do whatever you want. Even if itâs all night long.â He grins at his implication, and you slap his chest. You blushed at his blunt desire. Satisfied with your reaction, he chuckles and kisses you on the lips a little longer and passionately than you expected. Your mind went blank from all the complaints your mind was making.
Once he lets you go, he turns away and gets close to the edge. Before he jumps down, he looks back towards you and gives his charming smile. You stand there dumbfounded by his affectionate side. Itâs been so long since heâs shown that side of himself to you.
You come back to your surroundings and find the unfinished pizza box. If Mikey found that pizza box heâd be disappointed with the leftovers. You lifted it up and scrolled through your phone. Dialing on the number, you waited for a couple of rings.
âHey bug, whatâs up?â Raph greeted me through the phone. A shocking discovery in this life would be that Raphael is best friend material.
âHey snappy, I know you guys are resting today, but Iâve been wondering if you guys wanted to hang out.â You smile at the nickname youâve given him, it used to annoy him so much.
âResting? Weâre out patrolling the streets again. Arenât you supposed to be on a date?â Raph sounded confused, but your blood began to boil at the reveal.
âNot anymore heâs not. Apparently April needed help and didnât want to bother any of you because you're resting.â A humorless laugh came from you and you rubbed your temple. You didnât know what to feel anymore. Donnie lied to get to April, this time there wasnât a need to feel confused. You knew what this meant. Raph called out your name with a sigh.
âWant me to set him straight for ya?â Raph grumbled. His offer was sweet and it was tempting, but you knew better than to get two brothers against each other. Your tears welled up at the thought of Donnie. You canât take this anymore, that kiss meant something before but now you knew that it was to convince a lie. He manipulated you into being okay with his excuses.
âN-noâŠI donât want you guys to fight RaphâŠI-IâmâŠIâm just so tired of this..â Your tears fell down your cheeks, your words got quieter. You dropped the pizza and covered your mouth to muffle the sobs. Raph didnât need to know how bad you were hurting, but he didnât need to see what was happening, he knew. He said your name again but you cut him off. You shook off your nerves and breathed in and out.
âIâm gonna go home, and when you see him. Do me a favor and tell him not to bother himself with making up that date. Iâd rather be home alone tonight.â Your voice was firm, your decision was serious.
âI got ya, Iâll tell him myself. As long as you do me a favor and get your mind distracted when you get home. Donât make me come check up on ya.â Raph huffed lightly, and you knew it was a small tease. You appreciate his effort to make you smile.
âI will, so see you later, snappy.â You gave a weak smile even if he can't see it. He hung up after his goodbye.
You picked up the pizza box once again and threw it in the dumpster on your way out. That box was just a reminder of this failed relationship. Now you are in the mood for Chinese take out. May Mikey forgive you, but screw that pizza.

I gotta know if you have endgame pairings for His Priority in mind? I'm so fascinated by the work, but I'm also scared! Thank you!
Well that was fast XD. I'm glad you found my tumblr page, welcome my fellow reader. đ
Now as for your question, I can reveal that I don't know my endgame for "His Priority" just yet. I'm going chapter by chapter with this fanfic, so that way I can kind of go with the motion as the rest of you.
I have some plans to how things will go so far, but the endgame is still undecided. Which means that the tea is far from over. The break up scene was only the beginning, I won't be pulling any punches in this fic so be prepared.đđ
I'm so glad that your enjoying my work and I'm sorry for being the cause of your anxiety, and I will apoligize in advance for anything that will come up in the future. I promise I'll make the experience worth it.đ„°đ€

Luz Timely News: I'm Back and Heres my Update!
Hey everyone! I know you've all still enjoyed the fanfic I've written and/or liked my art.
Here's what's happening: I've applied for college, so that's why I haven't been responding to some requests. I'm still happy some of you would like my writing or art.
What I want to do: With some patience, I want to try to get to each request with my best effort. My schedule is tight with assignments so I can't promise that I'll be active as much.
Anything else? Well, I wouldn't mind if anyone requested any fanfics I should write next.
I've heard that they're starting fanfics about Nanami x Tiana, and it's blowing on A03 as we speak. They took it literal and now its spreading faster than fire.

Beauty and the Beast has always been my favorite, so hear me out. What if...Belle kills monsters for a living? How can a hunter like her fall in love or even accept the Beast? Just a thought tho.

I was just drawing a random face since I was bored out of my mind.
Buuuut, a relative told me that they look like Baki...
Now that it's colored, is it true or nah?

Day 3: BAT (Inktober 2022)
I SWEAR, thanks to Inktober I've been having progress even if it's three days in.
I can't wait to see what I come up with tomorrow! I'm definitely claiming her as my new OC.
P.S: Her name is Pierce, which is why the letter 'P' is her tattoo.

Day 2: Scurry (Inktober 2022)
No one makes me scurry my ass faster than my own mother.
Hopefully most of you could understand that sometimes Halloween comes around early.
Honestly I just wanted to make a different approach for Inktober, but mom's are scary too.
Also if you don't know what "Vente Paca!" means, it's spanish for "Get over here!"

This is my first time participating in Inktober 2022, I've always wondered what my progress could be like each day.
I'm so sorry for the lack of background but I'll get better.
