I think a lot about how A League of Their Own is a story about love.

Romantic and familial love represented as deep and complicated and unwavering and hard and beautiful

Platonic love between people who have seen the best and worst of each other

People coming together because they love something and would give up everything and everyone to do it

ALOTO is a love story about people learning to love themselves and each other in a world that does not love them back

And I think that’s fuckin’ NEAT.

Who cares what society thinks relationships should be like. Don't be afraid to have strange and unusual relationships with the people around you. Ask someone if they wanna pretend to date for fun. creating is so fun and rewarding and i hate doing it

fanfiction is kind of incredible if you think about it. it's like i love this fictional character/relationship so much that i wrote a story that is also a love letter that is also a thesis about it.

worst thing people did was turn the incredibly personal experience of being lgbt into strict definitions and rules and then ridicule and harass others who don't fit into their neat boxes, as if that isn't what we were trying to run away from this whole time.
