previously thought wc was a tiny bit younger than me and just found out he’s like seven years older (swoon) and when i told bff she immediately went “[age]?! god help you if you find out he smokes” she just really gets me

just spent an hour on the phone with my best friend talking about my very embarrassing work crush and at this moment i feel like i’m in the eighth grade again in both the best and worst ways

having just a little gratitude moment. i took the day off of work bc i have a few carryover days that expire at the end of the month. took catsby into the vet and he had, all things considered, a great appointment (current health issues under control). it was an all day visit so when i got back home i ran out for coffee and a bagel and relaxed for a tiny bit. my super came by after and fixed the (THREE) major problems i had in my bathroom and then i (out of necessity 😬) cleaned the whole bathroom. in the middle of all of this i also got some work done and while that kind of defeats the purpose of a day off i was able to do it on my own schedule and it wasn’t anything too taxing and i was glad to be able to get it off my plate.

i’m achy and thrilled to have nothing i have to do tomorrow but a few months ago i truly, literally, wouldn’t have been able to do a single one of these things (physically or mentally) let alone all of them. and this comes on the heels of a busy but nice time visiting my family last weekend, getting to spend time with my niece and nephew and getting to celebrate st. patrick’s day (and by celebrate i mean eating corned beef and three kinds of potatoes). ANYWAY, for the moment, gratitude.

Last film/show: Very unlike myself, I not only watched TWO movies at home this week, they were superhero movies (your girl needed a christian bale fix that wasn't going to make her feel her feelings) - last movies were Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Last tv show is You're the Worst - current rewatch, and a forever fave

Sweet/savoury/spicy: Anything but spicy (I am so very Irish and Russian I only want bland potatoes all the time) - it really depends on the mood, but I'll go savory

Last thing I googled: Not sure if it's the very last thing I googled, but there was a desperate google search earlier this week of how long pasta is good for after the expiration date (yes chef)

Last book: Nothing, I am a waste of a human someone please force me to read a goddamn book

Relationship status: Forever alone, but I have my first real life crush in a hundred years and it's both nice and gross to remember what it's like to have feelings

Current obsessions: I'm a little light on the obsessions lately - need a new hyperfixation BADLY (although like, I'm not not a little bit obsessed with ben & jen and the post-doc moment they're having - I can't help it, I was in my early teens their first time around and I guess they're just my roman empire)
