Sometimes I'm okay. And sometimes I remember Mo Ran telling Chu Wanning "shizun, I want to hold an umbrella for you for the rest of my life". That beautiful, beautiful metaphor that makes your heart go soft.

And then I remember the earthworms scene, teen Mo Ran crouched in the middle of the rain, saving them. The moment Chu Wanning accepts him as his disciple. Mo Ran notices that he doesn't have an umbrella and gives him his, which leaves him with no other option than to stand under the rain. (And then Chu wanning lifts a barrier around him in return so Mo Ran doesn't get wet)

And then I remember everything that came after that. How Mo Ran sacrificed himself to save him.

They've always been protecting each other.

Mo Ran has always been holding the umbrella for Chu Wanning, from the very beginning. And he doesn't remember.

I remember all that, even if he doesn't, and I ball my eyes out again.
