I do think if I have hairless and furry rats together again in the future I'd want to raise them together from the start. I suspect part of the reasons introductions were so long and frosty with this group is because lox and lutefisk are more sensitive to touch and grew up wrestling more gently than other rats as a result, so they get easily upset when the hairy guys try to wrestle more forcefully. i imagine rats that grew up playing together as babies might have this issue less.

my rats have all been getting along together in the same cage for a while now, and mostly they get on well but its still really clear that a couple of them just really don't like each other. even if they're being relatively civil about it. it's both frustrating and kind of funny.

#lox and mr mustache in particular really clearly do not enjoy each other's vibes #they usually hang out in different parts of the cage and whenver one has to pass the other they both walk really stiffly #theres only so much you can do to convince two guys to hang out with each other!
