Hey guys,
I’ll make this short. Today a racist idiot burned our car completely. It can only be sold for scrap because the motor, brain and sensors are fried.
We’re a family of black latine immigrants. we did not get any stimulus checks. I was forced to drop out cause I can’t pay for college so I’m using my shop to sustain my family, and without a car this is just so, so much more difficult.
I beg of you. If you’ve ever used these:

Please. please consider boosting and/or donating. I’m in complete shambles over this.

Hi
I really hate to do this but here goes.
Most of you know that I tested positive for COVID over 2 weeks ago now. As such, I’ve missed quite a lot of work. While last week was covered by my job, I do not know if I’ll be getting paid for this week considering I was supposed to return to work this past Monday. Pair that with the ER bill from Monday and I’m going to really be struggling the next few weeks.
If any of you would consider donating to my ko-fi, here is the link. I hate to ask and I absolutely do not expect anyone to donate. Please only do so if you really want to and if it will not hurt you financially. I know this is an expensive time for most people.

Apples and pine. Frankie was drowning in the best way possible.
Pulled flush against Draco, his hand resting delicately on her thigh, thumb brushing gently back and forth on the bare skin. Neither wanted to fall asleep, knowing Narcissa would be up to take Draco back to the Manor, so they laid there together, basking in the reprieve of loneliness the other provided.
Lemons and vanilla. Draco was utterly intoxicated with her perfume.
He knew friends didn’t act like this. Friends don’t have to escape to the bathroom to splash cold water on their faces after seeing their friends in their underwear. Friends don’t try to commit the subtle experience of unzipping her dress to memory. Friends shouldn’t be as intrigued in the stupid handcuff joke as he was. Friends don’t hold each other as close Frankie was holding him. Friends don’t take the subtle risks that Draco was about to take.
Frankie’s skin was tingling, buzzing with the simplest of touches from Draco. His fingers were tracing shapes onto the soft skin directly above her knee. Then suddenly, and ever so gently, Draco began to slide his hand up her thigh. He left a trail of fire in his wake. Frankie’s hands were tingling again, almost buzzing. She glanced in his direction, but his eyes were trained on the dark canopy of her bed above them. Merlin, he doesn’t even know what he’s doing to me. His hand continued to trail up Frankie’s leg, coming to rest at the top of her inner thigh, his fingers playing with the hem of her shorts. A part of her thought that he knew exactly what he was doing, but another part of her was saying that there was no way that he would have those feelings for Frankie. So, she decided to try something.
“I’m cold.” Draco turned his head down to meet Frankie’s eyes.
“Yeah?” He chuckled, turning his head back to the canopy. She mumbled an incoherent string of words, wrapping a leg around his, and an arm around his chest, her hand coming up to play with his hair. The satisfied hum that she let out made Draco’s breath hitch. Do friends do this?
“Draco, dear, It’s best we get going,” A kind voice called, Narcissa, Mrs. Malfoy. Soon after a light knock sounded from the door.
“Coming, mum.”
Before getting up, Draco turned his head once more, pressing a feather light kiss to Frankie’s temple. She thought she might burst into flames.
“Bye, Malfoy.”
“Bye, Chess.”
~
The morning was bitterly crisp for the first of September. The chaste goodbyes at the platform were too quiet, her mother not looking into her eyes, the same, disappointed grimace hidden behind her eyes. It may have been hidden from the world, but Frankie? She could see right through it. Is it too much to ask for her own mother to acknowledge that Frankie, her child, was more than a speck of dust in a universe her mother cared nothing about?
The gloom began to fade from the further she walked from her family, her legacy, her last name. The smoke in her mind began to clear, and she could see again, feel again, be again. The biting cold of the fall air made Frankie feel alive, and all she wanted to do was run onto the train and see her friends again, see Draco again. It had been less than twelve hours, but a taste of seeing her friends for the first time in months had made Frankie miss them more.
With hushed hellos and quick hugs along the long walk to the back of the express, Frankie had a beaming grin adorning her face when she burst through the door to the Slytherin car.
Theo was the first to see her, shouting “Frankster!” And catching the attention of her friends. A barrage of hugs knocked the wind out of her, but she was too happy to care.
“Where’s Malfoy?” She asked.
“He’s not here yet,” Blaise piped up. “Probably too busy putting gel in his hair to realize the time.” A chorus of laughter filled the cab, before Daphne said:
“He knows where we sit, c’mon you tossers, lets sit down.”
~
So, how was the Cup?” Frankie questioned.”I’m still so jealous that mother didn’t let me go with you, Cherrie.”
Silence filled the cabin.
After a moment, Pansy piped up in a meek voice, “You didn’t hear?”
“Hear what? No, no I didn’t.” Confusion fogged Frankie’s mind as she scanned the eyes of her friends for answers. “What happened?”
“Death Eaters attacked.”
No. “Please, tell me this is some sick joke.” It was deathly quiet as Theo handed her today’s paper.
The headline was something out of a nightmare.
“Bloody-is everyone okay?” Murmurs of yeahs and fines filled the cabin, ignoring the real question. Were any of our parents part of the attack? He’s really coming back. Voldemort.
The cabin door sliding open shook Frankie out of her thoughts.
“Woah, who died?” Malfoy’s smug face had a hint of worry painted in his eyes. He knew what we were talking about. “The Cup, I’m guessing. Merlin, that was a nightmare but you all are looking alright, I hope.”
His kind words were out of character for him, but from Draco, the words seemed to clear the gloom hanging over the cabin.
“Hey Malfoy, long time no see.” Frankie joked, watching as a shade of red flushed through his pale features.
“Hey Ch-Frankie.” Weird, but okay? Draco couldn’t look at her. Is this because of last night? I knew it, I went too far and I ruined it. Quick, Frankie, fix it.
“Cher, Pansy, Daphne? I need to talk to you all.” Frankie coughed and glanced at Draco, meeting his eyes for a split second, hoping that he would notice that they’re about to discuss him.
Pansy smiled, excited. “Um, alright. Let’s go then!”
“Ooh, drama! C’mon!” Cher grabbed Daphne’s hand and let her out of the cabin, followed by a buzzing Parkinson.
~
“I mucked it up, you guys.” Frankie sighed. “You should have seen what the hell happened the other night.”
“Come on-”
“It couldn’t have been that bad-” Frankie interrupted her friends with an exasperated shout.
“He saw my bare ass.” Laughter erupted from the cabin.
“What in Merlin’s beard were you doing?” Cher stood, screaming with laughter along with Greengrass.
“I was just changing and I forgot he was there!” Frankie buried her burning face in her hands. “The thing I don’t get is why he’s acting weird today if he wasn’t when it happened.”
“Maybe he-you know-” Daphne elbowed a teary eyed Cher, still recovering.
Frankie tilted her head. “No, Daph, I don’t know.”
“Yeah you do, c’mon.”
“Daphne even I don’t know,” Pansy snorted. “Just tell us.”
“He probably wanked to you that night.”
The laughter started up again, causing those from outside the cabin, specifically Draco.
“What the hell is so damn funny,” He spat.
“Relax mate.” Theo chuckled, watching as Draco strained to hear their discussion.
“They’re probably talking about me, Nott.”
“Mate-how do you know?” Blaise questioned, not looking up from the paper.
“I humiliated myself last night, at Chess-Frankie’s house.” Draco hung his head low, not making eye contact “She made this joke-”
“Did you shag?” Theo snorted.
Blaise shot his head up. “You shagged her? Mate, finally!”
“No, we didn’t shag!” Draco punched Nott in the arm. “You tossers. I may have seen her changing-”
“Didn’t you already-”
“But, the hospital wing-”
“Stop interrupting!” Draco said, a little too loud. “Merlin’s beard. Long story short, i’m pathetic.”
“Hey guys! Draco, got your act together yet?” Frankie followed Cher back into the cabin after changing into their robes.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Frankie.” He looked into her eyes and smiled.
“Call me Chess, you idiot.”
~
Dumbledore announced the Triwizard Tournament that night. It was all a blur until Frankie heard him say;
“Give a warm welcome to the lovely ladies of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic!”
The doors to the great hall swung open and about two dozen beautiful French girls wearing beautiful, shining dresses waltzed in.
Frankie’s stomach dropped.
They were beautiful.
They were perfect.
They were thin.
And Draco couldn’t take his eyes off of them.
The world turned blurry again.
How? How could Frankie even think for a moment that Draco would like her as anything more than a friend, nonetheless be attracted to her.
How could I be so stupid?
Then all of a sudden, the girls were gone, their places filled by two dozen men from Durmstrang. The sight of beautiful men should’ve given her butterflies, but she couldn’t care less. The boys glanced right beside her, at Cher, at Daphne, at Pansy. Frankie was invisible.
With a show of fire, they left the center and sat, leaving Dumbledore to continue speaking about the Tournament, leaving everyone in shock, then excitement, then disappointment when they realized they couldn’t participate.
“At least Potter won’t be able to get all the glory, Malfoy.” Blaise said, his calm demeanor contrasting the anger at the table.
“I don’t care about bloody Potter, Blaise.” Frankie huffed.
“Hermione won’t either, dimwit.” Daphne playfully slapped Frankie’s shoulder, rolling her eyes.
“I didn’t say that-”
“You were thinking it.”
No I wasn’t.
Greengrass’s comment caused the mood at the table to lighten significantly, Theo chuckling to himself and Malfoy’s vicious scowl to turn into just a sneer. Frankie choked out a fake laugh, sipping her tea.
