guys do you ever think about how minthara traveled to moonrise to defend the god she worshipped and adored, how she was greeted with a feast, how she watched her soldiers die and could do nothing, how she felt the death clenched grip of ketheric at her shoulder while orin claimed her, how she was dragged below the depths of the towers, how she had to watch her soldiers twist and break and change and be consumed, how orin stood before her and laughed as a parasite took root inside her mind, how she lost herself so completely it felt like love, how her mind became one with a godthing that only wanted to consume, how after crusades and slaughters and blood and death ketheric tried to break her mind apart completely, how after she was saved the godthing turned out to just be a thing and she was left in the cold and the quiet and how that first god, that god she swore an oath to, lost her soldiers for, lost herself and her mind for, discarded her in return.

because I’m not thinking about that at all.

I’m just having angsty Minthara X Durge thoughts if we ever got her “I’m going to kill the person I care about the most” scene. (TW: Dark Content under cut)

When you first tell her of your urges she says, if they ever overtake you, she will be there to kill you.

So just imagine that night, Durge, bound, lying on their side, in between mindless fits of rage, begging her to make good on her word. The hurt and fear in their eyes as they beg. “Please, you promised.”

And Minthara, standing above them, holding a dagger, horrified by the creature before her. The one who saved her, the one who showed her kindness, nearly unrecognizable in their fury. Yet, she can’t quite bring herself to bring down her blade.

Okay, but Halsin, Jaheira, Minthara, and Astarion all taking one look at an Elf dark urge and immediately going "I can influence that"

So all 4 of the older Elves in the party end up being like a divorced couple that can't agree on how to raise their kid.
