[Video ID: The video shows two women singing on a boat, taking turns. The woman on the right is Sofia Adriana, she starts singing a traditional Spanish song often hummed while baking bread, called Panadera. Then the woman on the left , Palestinian Singer “Terez Sliman”, follows by singing the Palestinian song 'Ya Talleen Al Jabal'. Both women show harmony and synchronization in their singing, clapping their hands on the boat to create music.]
"Ya Tall’een Al Jabal " - "يا طالعين الجبل" , a song from the Palestinian heritage was sung by Palestinian women in coded language to their imprisoned husbands and relatives in British prisons during the 1936 revolution to tell them resistance fighters would soon free them, while disguising words with the letter "L.". While "Panadera" in the Spanish language means baker, it is a traditional Spanish song that women sang during the baking process. The movement of the hands in rhythm represents the baking process.
Sung by: Terez Sliman (to the left) | Sofia Adriana Portugal (to the right)
"You got vampire lore wrong in your story because real vampires do this and that" Buddy I have terrible news about all of vampires. Heartbreaking news. Worst news you're gonna hear all day.
This isn't even exclusive to fans, even discussing something that someone else casually enjoyed can be turned into "are you calling me dumb for liking this"
This mindset has made any type of discussion impossible, because any criticism about anything that doesn't end with "✨you're valid if you enjoy this ✨" makes a certain set of people demand that you do not think about any piece of art for more than 4 seconds because it's all just "fun" and art analysis is just pretentious elitist bullshit. These were in the notes of someone's reply to an ask asking for their opinion on saltburn
Some people on social media are so deep in the trenches of identifying with the media they consume that any piece of criticism or even just analysis is taken as a direct attack on their person.

My piece for @mcrswarmzine !!! My night was tacoma and I wanted to make a pulpy horror poster with some twilight vibes to represent it <3 this was all done traditionally except for the filter and the text at the bottom. Honored to have been a part of this project!
real people cant queerbait, sure, but celebrities often arent acting as real people, theyre selling you a persona and can intentionally mold that around queer audience engagement in some cases. and thats murky water but still undeniably wet. plus whatever misha collins did of course
