Rewatching Trolls World Tour after the third movie is interesting because I realized that the pop trolls seem to be the only ones that have been victimized by the Bergens.

This is interesting to me because it may be the reason that Satin, Chenille, Guy + Tiny and Legsley were able to hide from the rock trolls during their invasion. They had experience hiding from the Bergens. And it begs the question of whether the other trolls knew about the Bergens eating pop trolls.

Also, it brings into perspective exactly how traumatizing the talent stealing situation would have been for Floyd. He lived through the time when they were still in the Troll Tree, he probably saw people being eaten. The trauma is still fresh, and that goes for Viva and the Putt-Putt trolls, though they went into that more in the movie. And Floyd and the other brothers left before they established peace with the Bergens, so being captured by a creature larger than him was probably scary in the first place, and to Clay it must have been the same, though he did trust that the Bergens were good when Poppy explained it. That doesn't separate the trauma. To the pop trolls, being used as like drugs to larger creatures is not a new thing, but if it had been any other genre of troll would their reaction have been different?

Y'all get mad at Spider for saving Quaritch as if he wasn't just abandoned by the closest people he ever had to a family for months. As if they didn't just move on with their lives like he wasn't even gone. As if Quaritch was the one to hold a knife to his chest and threaten to kill him and Neytiri was the one to abandon her revenge plot to save his life.

Spider deserves a loving father, and if it has to be Quaritch, then frick it I'm rooting for Spider either way.

So uh, concerning Avatar 2, people who say "It should've been Spider" clearly have no concept of either good character writing or common decency.

It's not like he immediately dropped everything to save Quaritch, or like he helped nurse Quaritch back health or something like I thought people were implying before I watched the movie. You can see him struggle with the decision, and honestly I don't even think it's the fact that Quaritch is his father that made him save him. He saved Quaritch because he is too GOOD OF A PERSON TO LEAVE A LIVING BEING TO DROWN. It doesn't matter what Quaritch has done, life is valuable and Spider knows that. He is allowed to save an enemy and still mourn for Netayem, he is a child who had to make a life changing decision. I could go on and on about how saving Quaritch was a good decision for Spider to make.

Have some empathy, people. This is probably the one thing I will argue on the internet for.

Spider is innocent.

Unpopular opinion: Pratt slayed Mario's voice.

I would much rather him follow the narrative that Mario and Luigi are Italians from Brooklyn (they would have a Brooklyn accent) then have him try to do an Italian accent and butcher it.

It took me by surprise but I like the voice.
