heads up mutuals ! as many of you know i’ve been on hiatus and have been planning to move to a new blog once i returned ! i think the time is finally right and i’m excited to announce that i’m ready to archive this one and get the ball rolling forward again on the new.

with that said, you will now find me over at heroquills ! please make sure to take a peek at my rules page as some new guidelines have been put into place.

thank you so much for all the wonderful memories that’ve been made on this blog. as sad as i am to end this chapter in my sonic’s rping history, i think we’re both ready to start moving forward again.

if i blocked you, i do have my reasons and i'm perfectly justified in them. i have a right to make sure my rping experience on here is comfortable and if youre someone who impedes on that comfort, tough shit. chances are i didnt like your attitude or behavior and didnt wanna see it or interact with it. and im clearly in the right for blocking you if this is how youre going to react, by anonymously messaging me and trying to guilt me for something as petty as being blocked. people dont have to explain to someone why they blocked them if they dont want to, but i would have been fine with telling you if you just asked me. but clearly you do not care to know, if your instinct is to act this way. so, yeah.

#hi im still on hiatus but #i just need to vent a little and i guess bring up something thats really been wearing on me regarding rp #that of which is holiday related rp #as fun as it is to get into the spirit of specific holidays and want to to themed threads for them #and as much as i wanna play with everyone and get in on the fun #its.. hard ??? i guess #i realized that it's become something i feel like i /have/ to partake in every year #and. feeling like i have to participate in a specific event and catalog what my muse is doing on that specific day gets #kind of exhausting #when you already are struggling to maintain your muse consistently #but if i dont partake in christmas or valentines stuff #i start to feel guilty #like im not doing my part #or im missing out on something #so i guess #this is my little psa; dont feel pressured to participate in holiday stuff if youre not feeling up to it #its okay if you cant get yourself to do it #for whatever reason #youre not missing out on anything if you dont feel like it in the first place #just take your time and come back when youre ready #there's no shame in not participating in holiday stuff

Hi, folks.

News flash: it is NOT elitist to have preferences (they’re our boundaries; they’re there for a reason!), nor is it elitist to drop threads that overwhelm you! As someone who runs a million blogs, I can say that although most people would love to personally let rp partners know, sometimes there’s too many to count.

There are also a dozen reasons why we can’t always juggle that responsibility, why we can’t ALWAYS answer wonderful asks people send us - a lot of the time it’s NOT ignorance. It’s because we have bigger priorities than roleplay, zapped energy levels, a job, etc. It’s sad but that’s the way life has got to roll. We can’t cater to everyone. We’re only PEOPLE. And we shouldn’t need to cater to everyone: we’re here for FUN, and stressing over a million threads  - and perhaps some you’re not really invested in - really ISN’T fun, trust me.

Getting invested in roleplaying IS fun, but don’t take it so seriously.There are always so many other wonderful roleplay partners to write with, so please don’t stem your hatred on someone who for all you know actually has a lot going on. Don’t stem it on anyone, period.

fun fact! people are allowed to prioritize specific threads they want to prioritize. people are allowed to cultivate spaces where they feel comfortable and safe. people are allowed to drop threads if they need to in order to rp comfortably again. yes, even people with “cool icons and blogs” or w/e are allowed to feel comfortable and enjoy rp on their blogs the way they want. if you feel threatened by that, perhaps consider taking a step back and asking yourself if its really worth getting up and arms over.
