It was a rainy day in Gotham city and Jason Todd had forgotten something very important.
But luckily for y/n that just gave them more time to prepare.
You see it was a very important day, this rainy day in Gotham city, it was the one and only Jason Todd’s BIRTHDAY

Jon at his most casual.

[image description: We see Jon in profile as he is leaning forward, elbows on a metal railing, holding a hand-rolled cigarette in his right hand and blowing smoke from his mouth. He wears a muddy green t-shirt. His dark brown hair is almost at shoulder lenth and has many grey strands. His left hand is bandaged up to its wrist and there is the hint of a big, white bandaid on the front of his neck. his arm and his face dappeled with many small round scars.]
It's impossible to understand the sheer comedy of that plumber who didn't notice that he was in a den of the stranger without relistening to the episode bc the dramatic irony is so real and it's SO funny. He goes to a strange town in the middle of the woods at night and is greeted by something Not Quite Human. He gives no reaction, just asks to see where the problem is. The thing is understandably kind of shocked, and shows him into a room full of mannequins and that are literally skinning human heads. Once again, he gives no reaction. He Does Not Notice the living mannequins and dead bodies. At this point his guide is probably pretty fucking baffled, but she takes him to the clogged drain with BLOODY WATER SEEPING OUT OF IT!!! Does our intrepid plumber do anything? Of course not, he doesn't notice anything weird. He just starts to do his job. The inhuman thing starts whispering ominously to him about flensing (skinning) him but he doesn't know what it means so he just agrees with it, and honestly, props to the monster for not just giving up on the whole thing at that point bc what the fuck are you supposed to do when you tell someone you're going to steal their skin and they just say "Mhmm, interesting," and continue unclogging the bloody drain. I'd quit on the spot, fear gods be damned. He pulls a wad of fat and oil from the drain (definitely human), says "Great! Job done :)," then just. Leaves. 0 fear 0 perception he walks out through the room of mannequins and skin and goes home. Honestly I'm convinced they invited him back because he seemed like an even bigger freak than they were and they wanted to know what his deal was
Actually I take it back the only tma show adaptation I will accept is if they try to recreate the fact that we only hear what is recorded on tape by framing everything from the tape recorder's perspective so all of season 1 looks like this
