I know I haven’t been active in forever, and my disappearance was kind of sudden, but I logged back into my tumblr account for the first time in forever to check something and figured before I left again I would make a post just to let everyone know I’m doing okay and everything is fine and not to worry about me or whatever

I haven’t been on tumblr for a long time and I’m not planning on coming back, but I did meet a lot of cool people and make some good friends on this blog and it felt Weird knowing that I kind of just Disappeared for most of you. I’m doing fine; I got off tumblr because this website is a shithole and I can’t handle the sheer quantity of negativity and hostility on this website. I’m a lot happier without being active on this website, I just wanted to say that I am fine, nothing bad happened. I just am now a normie lesbian who pretends to never have heard the term akiosexual and bakes pies and plays video games and gets all of the unhinged tumblr shit 3 years late on twitter

I hope you all are doing well too. I’m sorry I left so suddenly, and I hope you all have managed to continue to feel human and real and like things matter during this hell year.

hmm not to have opinions on main but sure is funny how in every post i see made by a gay person along the lines of “i just wish i had to rely less on subtext and saw more explicitly canon onscreen representation of people like me in popular media” someone in the replies will respond with “why do they have to fuck for it to be representation though?” when fucking was never mentioned nor implied in the original post. i just think that’s really fascinating.

I just saw some documentary on how Lesbian bars are gone and the few that exist are all shutting down and it ends in some shitty way where people in it are like “It’s good and a sign of progress that more people id as Queer, bisexual, etc instead of lesbian now a days anyway so people don’t need lesbian spaces” 

and wow… cool. 

ya would be cool if lesbians just didn’t exist anymore I guess? 

Combine this with how often people want to exclude lesbian representation in lgbt spaces, ignoring the flag, conflating lesbians with terfs, bringing up ‘mono-sexual” privilege etc…

like so many people including our so-called allies and sisters/brothers, would rather we just not exist anymore. 

Lesbians = regression and stagnation 

and they = the future and progress 

and whatever stereotypes and groups they can conflate us with that are regressive also, just to bolster the stereotype is good for the cause. 

Because people no longer want an LGBT. They certainly don’t want the L around.

i want afab lesbians to like realize all the ways that society and people view you because of who you are (predatory, sex obsessed, etc) goes absolutely double for trans lesbians.

like i really want you guys to know that for sure because i get the sense some of you view us as secondary or just include us to be Nice.

every now and then i just sit back and rethink ace discourse from the top to make sure my views still make sense (which is good to do with any belief you hold) and i just start thinking about how there's a group of people who genuinely think that needing to form a connection with someone before wanting to have sex with them is somehow equivalent to being gay and it is LUDICROUS
