(Chuuya x Dazai)

Chuuya looked up at the sky, in awe of the sparkling blue. Every day he thanks Echo for the stars in the sky, be it night or day. He breathes in the fresh air, going over his list once more. Mazurine, and... what did Dazai ask for again?

"Oi, Dazai. Tell me what you wanted again? I forgot."

Chuuya nods to the shopkeeper. The usual. Luka smiles and nods back, walking off to find the special fruit.

"Dazai?"

Chuuya waits for a few more seconds.

"Dazai, quit playing with-"

Then he turns around.

Oh.

Dazai isn't even there. Where the hell could that mackerel have gone this time??

"Dazai!!" Chuuya sighed. "If he doesn't get his ass back here in the next ten seconds-"

"Boo!"

Chuuya jumped, covering his face only a second after.

"You're so fucked when we get back."

"Yay!!"

"Not like that."

"Not... yay!"

"Why would you scare me like that?!" Dazai laughed. "Sorry, little bird-" "Fox." "Fox... but I had to do it again!"

Then it clicked.

"You mean..."

Dazai smiled, and this was one of his smiles that got Chuuya's heart to melt every time.

"Remember when we first met?"

Right. Dazai decided to inside a box of fruit. Half because he didn't want to be noticed by Chuuya yet, half because he just wanted to prank the shorter one.

He chuckled. "I still don't understand how you didn't notice me the entire time!"

Chuuya rolled his eyes as Dazai giggled. "Didn't think you were someone that'd remember. I suppose I thought wrong, huh?"

Dazai paused, noticing how low Chuuya's voice got.

"Is my Chuuya okay?"

Chuuya shook the thoughts from his head.

"I'm fine, doll eyes. Don't worry."

Doll eyes? Dazai let it be, but he couldn't deny that he liked the new term. Though his odd silence made Chuuya regret calling him that.

"Anyway, what was it that you wanted here?"

"Ah, right! It was the same fruit you liked. I wanted to try it!"

Chuuya froze.

I didn't even have to ask, then?

"Chuuya? You're blushing, did I say something?"

"N-No, I just... can't believe I forgot about that."

"Liar."

"AM NOT!!"

"Are too."

Luka cleared their throat before pointing to the mazurine lemonade. "Do you want an umbrella with that?"

The two stopped, quickly getting out of each other's faces. Chuuya was thankful for the interruption, though. Had they gone on any longer...

Chuuya had almost forgotten about his reputation as a royal.

"That'd be nice. Thank you, Luka."

Luka smirked, whispering only to Chuuya, "Get something nice for your new girlfriend sometime."

"I-" Chuuya stops himself from continuing that thought. "Yeah, I will. That isn't for you to worry about."

Luka could only giggle in response.

And you'd better not tell anyone else about us.

"Dazai, stop messing with the box again. Let's get going."

"Ah, Chuuya! You're finished, I see?" Chuuya nods. "Hope you're excited to try this, I got it for you."

"Aww, my Chuuya is the best!"

"Dazai, we're in public..."

Dazai shrugs. "You like it."

"Ugh..." Chuuya rolls his eyes, wrapping his arm around Dazai's waist. "I do..."
