I had a random question that you can feel free to ignore, but do you know any good popular finnish music? I love international music and was wondering if you had any recs you would be willing to share. Thanks again! You are amazing!

There are lots of amazing finnish music out there and I don’t know quite where to begin — I myself have a pretty random taste in music but I’ll try to think of a couple of good examples 🥰

Since we’re in hockey fanpage I have to start with rap-pop duo JVG; they are the unofficial hockey band of finland both because both parties of the them played hockey growing up and it’s a popular subjcet matter in their songs, but they are also the favorite band of many hockeys (Sebastian, Teuvo, Roope mentions them a lot etc). They have lots of hits and I don’t know their music very well but personal favorites are ”Ikuinen vappu”, ”Tarkenee” ”Amatimies” ”Hombre” and ”Kalenterist tilaa” just to name a few!

Another hockey favorite is Haloo Helsinki! They are also someone I only recently got into, they are pop-rock on the poppier side ☺️ ”Pulp fiction” ”Rakas” ”Beibi” and ”Hulluuden highway” are some of their songs I like but ”Texas” ft JVG is my current favorite 😌

Other current artists are for example Vesala, Ellinoora and Antti Tuisku just to name a few 🥰 For English singing bands, Blind Channel is something I’ve seen many people enjoy (I don’t know their discography very well). My personal favorites are Von Hertzen Brothers and from childhood PMMP and Tiktak 🙏🏼
