It’s the Haddock kids out on an adventure! Zephyr, being the oldest, is definitely the take-charge, leader type; I imagine she thinks up most of the quests they go on. Nuffink, of course, has a say in the matter, but he’s often content to go along with Zephyr’s ideas, as long as he gets to come along. He undoubtedly brings the bold, adventurous spirit to the group!⁠ Then comes Inga, bringing up the rear. Of course, she wants to be in on anything her older siblings are doing, but she’s a little slower than they are and is easily distracted. Zepyhr and Nuffink have to frequently remind her to keep up. XD⁠

I can never explain fully how you’ve changed my life. From the first time I saw you spare someone your culture taught you was an enemy. From the first time I saw you spend your night making something to allow someone else to live. From the first time I saw wordless compassion humble you to close your eyes and trust that the dragon who nearly killed you. From the first time I saw, felt, and experienced the fierceness of the love you share with your best and longest friend. My love for you only grew reading your original adventures, and the great depth and wealth of meaning in the tales of a Becoming a Hero the Hard Way, the ones that taught me that “a Hero cannot triumph all the time. Sometimes he will be defeated, and how he faces that defeat is a test of his character” (book 9). You helped shape the moral soul I have today, and you will always be the character, the person, and the loyal friend I aspire to be.
