I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Waiting for my new computer desk, so I thought I wo6do more work on my swatch notebook detailing my most used paints and their qualities. I made this paint from Jackson's pigment and it is such a good red.

Ok, so, we did end up deciding to try a new desk to see if I can come up with a configuration that will make it where I can write, paint, and do my usual thing without pain. Also that will force me to not sit like a fool. I like sitting like a fool but my joints are clearly done with it.

Also MAN did I have a bad reaction to the tape this time around. I used the same tape I always use, but for some reason it made me break out in a rash that was in the same pattern as the weaves in the tape, I look like I have cool alien skin patches. Most of it eased up with hydrocortisone, but not going to wear the tape for a few while I heal up.

Thanks to my recent diagnosis of Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder, horrible floppy dislocation and subluxation pain, physical therapy to try to mitigate all of that...I am more tape than person. My shoulder is a webwork of tape, each of my arms, my neck, and my fingers are covered in tape.

Also I probably need a new desk and have to redo my art area to be more ergonomic and I really can't afford it with all the recent medical expenses and I'm not thrilled.

But, at least that diagnosis of fibromyalgia that never sat right with me was in fact, something else entirely.

Fun story with this paint, I bought a paint called Lac Dye made from the bugs, but it was not a lake pigment mulled into watercolor like I thought it would be (fun fact this pigments is where we get the term lake pigment and lacquer) it was just bug bits mulled in binder and was awful. So I soaked the pigment to get the binder off, steeped it in hot water until the bug bits no longer gave color, and then make it into a lake like it should have been from the beginning. And now the color is beautiful and worth pursuing. I don't ask much, I just feel if someone is going to offer paints for sale that the do the barest level of research before selling, but maybe that is just me. Anyway, people should research Lac Dye, it has a very fascinating history as a paint, dye, and varnish.

Periodically I have to rearrange my main palette with my most used paints. These are not necessary my favorites, just the ones that I use the most and will always have on hand. The fun part after days of rearranging things is redoing the swatch sheet,and now I need to update my card book to get it all in the correct order.

PSA for Google Docs writers

If you (like me) use Google Doc to write fanfic, you may (like me) have been annoyed by the new "feature" they added in the past few weeks, "Smart Chips," where by default every time you open a new line it auto-inserts a "@" symbol and then prompts to add additional people into the doc for review or whatever other useless thing I immediately closed out of.

There doesn't appear to be a way to turn off this "feature" in GDocs however someone has put out an extension that nixes it:
