As a long-time fan of Watcher and even BuzzFeed back in the day, I'm beyond bummed out at the decision they've made.

I can't afford a streaming service. Paywalls are ruining the internet and turning it into cable TV.

This came with absolutely no warning and it feels like a weird betrayal of loyal fans.

Best of luck to them, but this isn't a journey I can support.

Can we please stop acting like The Lightning Thief (2010) movie was an abomination? Okay so Annabeth didn’t have blonde hair, the actors were older than the characters, blah blah blah. It was good movie with memorable scenes and a great cast. I honestly prefer some of the movie scenes to the current Disney+ show (crucify me!). I’m a grown ass adult now who read the books 14 years ago and I’m sick of the snobby reviews. Just let people enjoy media!

YES, I KNEW SOMETHING WAS MISSING!!

How am I supposed to know that the opening sequence in the Dial of Destiny takes place in Poland (?) 1945 other then listening very intently to the dialogue throughout the movie? Even though a big chunk of the beginning takes place in New York City 1969, I can only assume that because of Moon Day. Otherwise I was under the impression that it was 1972, 15 years after Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

My one real criticism of the new movie is that they didn’t do a date card at all. They did the title card in the classic Raiders font (only film that doesn’t is temple of doom). As most films will have the title card then the following sequence with the date and location- they’re classic! We all know what I’m talking about… dial of destiny just doesn’t. Which as a film that jumps from the 30s to the 60s SHOULD AT LEAST ONCE? You would think! If crystal skull, the widely hated (undeservingly but that’s for another time) movie does this!

Best example is Last crusade which also has a separate date from it’s opening sequence but still puts a date and location for both!
