You cannot convince me that Aquarius didn’t feel all smug and mighty about showing at Loke’s “trial” in front of the Spirit King in Loke’s defense. Because that girl 100% did because she 100% did not agree with the sentence Loke was suffering. Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk!

This is still a work in progress but hello ~

You ever stop to think about how over the years Aquarius always told Lucy not to drop her key. What if it was because she knew that out of all the spirits her bond with Lucy was the strongest and there might come a day in which she had to make the ultimate sacrifice. She wasn’t hard on her because she hated her but because she wanted her to grow into a strong and capable wizard like Layla. She knew of Lucy’s circumstances concerning her home life after Layla died, so she knew that Lucy needed to find herself — she was brutally honest because she cared. She never truly hated her, she simply wanted her to learn how to survive without her because there may come a day in which the two of them were together. If Aquarius truly hated her their bond wouldn’t have been strong enough for her sacrifice to summon the Spirit King. All of her harsh words were an attempt to not only make it easier on Lucy, but to make it easier for her as well — after all, she had to say goodbye to someone who despite everything she genuinely cherished.

It had been awhile since she had gotten to see everyone in conditions that were not a battle. She couldn’t help but to be thankful that Lucy had found him and their guild.
