you know what while we’re at it, stop asking idols to speak in english just because you don’t understand, people that only speak english don’t realize how entitled that is. and don’t bring the “well if they wanna be global then they should speak in english” bullshit because you never saw any latine fan pressuring one direction to speak in spanish and they were the most popular boy band at the time. global =/= english, global literally just means reaching a global audience and language shouldn’t be part of that discussion. maybe it’s a personal thing but it honestly irks me so much when people just expect everyone to speak in english, when for a lot of people being able to learn a second language is a privilege. if you’re gonna get into a group, genre, whatever that isn’t in your language then do your best effort to learn that language instead of waiting for them to cater to you only, and if your argument is that english is the most global language then please shove that entitlement up your ass and realize that the world doesn’t revolve around the english language/english speakers.

I have an important thing to announce

Scroll past and i’ll lose every single bit of respect I ever had/would have for you, and say goodbye to possibly ever talking to me. This is the blog I have with most followers and I know people see my posts a lot here. Someone very important to me is thinking about killing themselves (and has been for quite some time), they’re a great friend of mine, I won’t be naming them. Heartbreak is Enlai's 2nd mini album. It was released almost a year after his first one, on December 15th, 2018, and only digitally. The main track, 888, recieved a simple music video and was promoted for 2 weeks. He didn't get any wins, many views or sales, but he was happy that he could release something for his fans, who are yet to recieved a fandom name.

The video was mostly in a monochrome tone, and it gained color by the end. Numbers appeared from time to time on the screen, especially the number 8. It had very lonely vibes but by the end it felt more like a good type of loneliness.

There wasn't anything new in the styling. He kept his straight blonde hair and comfy clothes. The makeup was very simple, he still hid his freckles.

Growing up, Sammy was taught to be quiet.

It wasn't inherent-- not like the generic "ladies should be seen and not heard" that was thrust down the throat of every girl she ever knew whether they knew it or not. It was of the more subtle kind; the kind that was perhaps more self-taught than Sammy would like to admit.

She also grew up praised for being an old soul, mature beyond her years. The quiet could be called a side-effect of that. With maturity came quiet, Sammy learned; the aversion to anything and everything that could be even somewhat coined as immature, because somewhere along the line acting her own age had become the most frightful thing in the world.

There were no petty screaming matches. No "i hate you"s yelled emptily at dad or mom in times of high tension. No slammed doors. Just patient, careful explanations, many spoken through tears as Sammy tried her best not to seem young.

Sammy is "naturally quiet"— but it's a wonder how much of that is her true nature, introverted and thoughtful and anxious, and how much of it is still leftover from years of instilled silence.

She is quiet still. Never slams doors, never yells, never fights, no fire when she angers, only tears.

But sometimes-- sometimes Sammy wants to be loud.

Sometimes she feels like the world is moving too slow- or maybe she is moving too fast. There's too much inside of her, too much sharp, too much noise, and she feels like she's humming. She wonders if it, too, is leftovers from years without.

It isn't her normal fidgeting; she's washing the dishes and she's moving a plate to the drying rack and moves her hand a little too fast and suddenly her whole body aches to just throw it across the room, watch, hear, feel it shatter against the wall. She wants to tear something. She wants to pull her hair out. She wants to slam a door. She wants to slam a thousand doors, until her hands are raw and bleeding and her ears are ringing and she's trembling head to toe from all the noise.

Even then, she isn't sure it would be enough.

Sammy hates it. She hates the feeling of being so overwhelmed inside, of craving loud like it's some sick drug.

After she told the members about it they started offering themselves as help (and Jihyun said he understood, too; said he feels it, too). Whenever she feels like that, they let her hold onto them and just squeeze them until they break.

She never has-- but she's always a little scared.

a few things -

1. tomorrow w the election results, realize that many votes were mailed in and will be counted until the end of november (x). tomorrow will not have a definitive winner. it’ll be a projection. it seems that a lot of mail in ballots are democratic party votes, so keep your head up unless there’s some kind of massive landslide.

2. voter intimidation is real and i would expect it to be pretty bad at the polls tomorrow. if you experience or witness voter intimidation, please call 1-866-our-vote (1-866-687-8683) to report it. this number calls the national voter protection hotline and they can send federal investigators as well as local law enforcement to help. it’s a good practice to record any voter intimidation that you see at the polls and write your account and report it to local law enforcement, the ACLU, local news, etc. save this evidence in a place that you will not lose it and cc yourself on any emails you send to ensure you do not lose it too.

2a. if possible, vote with a friend or family member.

3. if you are uncertain about your voter status, have not gotten a response that your mail-in ballot has been processed, or if you are booted from the polling line for xyz reasons, please make sure you grab a provisional ballot. idaho, minnesota, and new hampshire unfortunately do not do provisional ballots, but all other 47 states do. as per the linked website, it is a federal law in these states to give voters provisional ballots. quote, “If an individual declares that such individual is a registered voter in the jurisdiction in which the individual desires to vote and that the individual is eligible to vote in an election for Federal office, but the name of the individual does not appear on the official list of eligible voters for the polling place or an election official asserts that the individual is not eligible to vote, such individual shall be permitted to cast a provisional ballot….” if your state gives them and you cannot vote regularly, get one of these!

4. if you live in a large city and expect lines, make sure you dress for the weather and bring a snack or two!

5. some states will allow you to declare an emergency ballot if you are sick on election day. if you’re feeling under the weather, check if your state will allow you to have one.

6. here are the tips the CDC has for voting during the pandemic so that you can protect yourself at the polls.

7. TIME magazine has a really great q&a article for other questions you may have tomorrow!

8. please take care of yourself. avoid social media and the news if you need too. hang out with people in your bubble and try to do something to distract yourself if you’re worried about the results!

“Happy birthday” he reads, “thank you! I’m twenty four. Isn’t that crazy?”

Vinny goes slightly off screen before coming back and showing guitar to the vlive, “my step dad got me this.” he starts, “my last one broke when I moved into my apartment in January but now I have a new one!” he smiles.

“What have you done for your birthday this year? What’s your favorite birthday so far?” he reads, “I haven’t done really anything because of the pandemic but my mom and step dad and my siblings called me earlier! It’s been good so far!” he smiles, “my favorite birthday? The year I got a drum set! I think I was ten.”

“What's your favorite song that you've created so far?” he reads, “Hm, I don’t know. I really like all my songs but I think Last Autumn! It was my first collaboration with any of aid!” he nods, “Or Mayday! That was my first collab with any of Allure! I had a ton of fun making both songs. Kiersey and Addy are really nice.”

“Would you bitch slap Donald Trump for free or do I have to pay? I’m sorry? I don’t think I can answer that.” he laughs nervously, “I think I’d get in trouble.” he added, “Oh my goodness, so many weird questions just came in,” he laughs.

“What’s your favorite color of the alphabet? Yes or no? What? That’s such a weird question. Would I eat a couch for 50 mil? Oh my gosh.” he laughs, “No, I’d do it for 500 million though.”

“Who is the person that you would turn to and trust the most? Um, I think my step dad. We’ve gotten pretty close lately.”

“You guys ask so many weird questions! I like it!” he smiles, “What made you decide to become an idol? Any inspirations?” he reads, “What made me want to be an idol?” he repated, “Well, it was a lot of things but I guess the main reason was I saw SHINee preform and I was like ‘hey, that seems fun,’ and I auditioned for Cube like three years later.”

Vinny spent the better half of an hour answering the the questions before having to end the live.

“I hate that this has to be so short,” he sighs, “my manager wants to take me home now, I had a lot of fun! Bye!”
