Trying to find the words. They’re both leaning against the cool metal of the bus, but Frank’s turned towards him, hips canted forward. It’s fucking maddening. “So, what’s up, then?” Frank finally asks. “Not gonna ditch you now, ‘cause you let me bum a cig off of you and it’d be an asshole move of me to just leave right after, but, um.” He gestures loosely with his cigarette hand. “What can I do for you?” Anthony exhales slowly, tracks the curl of smoke into the air until it dissipates, then mumbles, “I’m gonna tell you something really fucking crazy and you’re just gonna have to believe me.”

(Anthony falls asleep in 2024 next to the love of his life, and wakes up in a world that might as well have been a lifetime ago. The situation is less than ideal.)

Oh this was so good………… I really like this ship, but it's surprisingly not all that popular, so it's kind of hard to find the Good Stuff... anyway. Finally, some good fucking food!

Please help me find a missing fic that I used to be very fond of! It was a bizarre doctor-who/the-ghost-of-you fusion where the way brothers were time lords in ww1. I remember mikey getting shot and regenerating into killjoys-era-looking-mikey, plus a trip to the 21st century to do some historical research so that they could save frank and ray, who might have been taken as POWs. I think the fic may have vanished from the internet, but I’d love to know what it was called/who wrote it/if it might be on the way-back machine/if anyone else remembers this at all because I feel crazy. Thanks!!

OH, you're in luck--I have just the fic for you: The Good Life by Sinsense... unfortunately, I believe this is the only frank/brian I've read (that I felt was rec-worthy, anyway), but it's genuinely So Good it would be top tier even if there was a variety tbh.

Feeling burnt out from New York City, Gerard is unable to create anything now that he finally has time to himself. Knowing he needs a change—or a break, as his friends put it—Gerard leaves the city for a cabin on the outskirts of a picturesque mountain town down south with a ranch across the street.

When a rainstorm leaves him stranded on the side of the road, and the cowboy across the street, Adam, stops to help, it kicks off an unlikely friendship between the two while Gerard works on some freelance gigs and his own project—until feedback from a client changes everything.

Ohhh oohh oh. Wtf. This was such an experience. Ok, so Adam is like INSANELY charming in this, like this is PEAK Adam and he's like. Basically a cowboy. Hot. You WILL be so frustrated with Gerard in this though, like. Not that he's ooc or badly written or anything, but he's just. Blinded by being a workaholic, let's say? God, adorable romance too, they drew the pining out such a perfect amount, and JUST. this was just sooooo much fun. I can't recommend this enough.

This is such an interesting dynamic-- I feel like not many people think about how Patrick fits into the whole petekey conspiracies, so it's cool seeing that be the focus of a fic.. it's not quite a cut and dry poly fic and the characters never really address what's going on because I don't think they really know themselves, but it's all conveyed very… like it feels like a complicated relationship that could happen irl, yk. interesting!!!

It seems like the sort of thing most people would knock their teeth out doing.
