personally i think we need to stfu when it comes to the term policing I swear to god some of y'all act like such victims for no reason
"You're policing what kinks i have!!!" No, you're just being told that finding incest and raceplay hot is fucking weird
"You're policing what I should write!!" No, you're just being told that romanticizing pedophilia and abuse is disgusting and can affect people.
"You're policing what media I consume!!!" No, you're just being told that openly supporting and buying books that fund transphobic laws makes you a shit person
"You're policing what labels I can identify as!!!" No, we're just telling you that identifying as a transphobic and lesbophobic label actually does harm people
Unless you are being physically harassed in real life about doing something, or someone is otherwise preventing you IRL from doing said thing, you are not being policed. You are just experiencing what it's like to be online.
Policing ≠ being told not to do something
Policing ≠  being educated on why you shouldn't do something
Policing ≠ experiencing consequences
*Policing ≠  being told no*

It's Lesbian Visibility Week, so here's your reminder that if you can't agree with us on this, you are not an ally to any lesbian.
Don't bother with your hollow "lets go lesbians!" / "I love you lesbians" posts, we see right through it and know who our real allies are.
Reminder to all bi "lesbians" and other such bigots who think men can be included in lesbianism: do the entire lesbian community a favor and kill yourself, your disgusting homophobic existence will not be missed and the world will be a better place without you! <3
If you can't reblog this, don't call yourself an ally to the lesbian community, the time for silence is over.
The entire reason these people feel emboldened to spew the same bigotry as your average conservative is because you're all too spineless to stand with lesbians when we tell you time and time again that this behavior gets us assaulted, it gets us killed, and it further reinforces that lesbians cannot trust the rest of the LGBT community to have our backs.
If you're silent when we're asking you to speak out with us, then you are contributing to our continued oppression, to the increasing rise in lesbophobia.
If you STILL need to be told why these people are harmful, read this:

I think the main thing it comes down to is: the LGBT community is full of rampant misogyny, but so many people think that because they're a minority, they're somehow less accountable to analyze their own behavior.
This is why lesbophobia is especially prevalent; it's the intersection of homophobia and misogyny. The same is also true of transmisogyny; the intersection of transphobia and misogyny.
So many people who consider themselves progressive will support lesbophobic or transmisogynistic concepts without so much as batting an eye. They think they've done the work already, I mean, you're LGBT! How could you have unchecked misogyny in your interactions with the world and others? Well, quite easily, as almost any lesbian or trans woman could tell you of our interactions with other LGBT people.
You all need to take a long, serious look at your behavior, and start actually listening to lesbians and trans women when we tell you things are harmful to us. Because right now, most of our issues remain incredibly insular, with only a small number of allies uplifting our voices.

No I think we should openly talk about this. Why are there so many white lgbt's using this unjust wave of callout posts to whine and cry about how people should just "mind their own buisness and block" and then openly go back to fetishizing incest and pedophilia. Or defend their friends who do that. Or are openly racist. Like yall understand that's still bad, right? Just because some callout posts are wrong doesn't mean yall get a free pass.

The dehumanization of Palestinians goes BEYOND the things we usually see, such as racism and Islamophobia.
It’s also the tokenization, treating Palestinian bloggers as “inspiration” for an OC, the parasocial relationships people are starting to form with more well-known Palestinian bloggers, and NOW polls on who the “worst” Palestinian is. Even people who’re supposedly ally’s to the freedom for Palestine movement are voting because of quote on quote “curiosity”.
You don’t have to be outwardly racist to dehumanize someone. Dehumanization involves stripping a person of their humanity and turning them into whatever caricature you think fits them best, whether it’s to sell an agenda or treat them as a source of entertainment.

maaaaaybe it’s not really counter culture or nonconformist at all to create a plethora of entirely new identities based on every minute aspect of your personality which can be easily marketed and pandered to, furthering this egotistical american obsession with hyperindividuality but hey man, that’s just me.
