now i’m seeing some united fans saying that lauren unfollowing some of her lionesses teammates has blown everything out of proportion.

how about understanding what millie turner did was wrong & that she doesn’t have to deal with an avalanche of abuse because of it but lauren does? how about understanding that millie turner should apologise to lauren for her actions? how about understanding that lauren’s unfollowed some of the girls because they’ve interacted with the post & shown support to millie, whether consciously or unconsciously? how about understanding that she’s protecting her mental health?

instead of constantly passing the blame to LJ, or saying chelsea fans are babying her because we “can’t see what she did was wrong”, open your fucking eyes. yes, LJ should’ve reached for a ball another way, but MT knew exactly what she was doing when she bent down to make it look like a headlock, and she was wasting time by picking up the ball.

so no, lauren isn’t “making it a big deal”, she (or chelsea’s social media team) is protecting her mental health and putting herself first in this situation. it’s not banter. it’s caused racial abuse, it’s caused lauren to get death threats. it’s absolutely vile and the people doing so should be fucking mortified, including millie turner for inciting that abuse.

speaks volumes to me that neither her, any of her teammates or united themselves have come out with a statement. shows how many morals they have, and they should be fucking ashamed.
