Brain: Hey Hope, you know how there's three kitsune guys despite there being stated that there's four Kitsune clans? Hey Hope. Hope. HopeHopeHopeHope-

Summer Clan Kitsune OC: Natsu! In my head, he's unlocked after romancing the three others. Unlike Aki, Haru and Fuyu, he was cursed by his father to forever be stuck in fox form as a way of hiding him from Fuyu's wrath. He had despondently made peace with his fate, and resigned himself to guard the old rice fields his people once tended to. At least until Marshmallow comes along. Starting out distrustful, hostile and downright afraid of you due to your relationship with the other kitsune boys, he becomes much more amicable once you prove your intentions are pure (aka once you kiss him). Besides that, Natsu is incredibly dedicated towards what he cares about, which has made him blunt and somewhat unsettling.

("Hope did you draw his fox form from that angle so you wouldn't have to draw his body-" yes. Next question.)

And because I was working on them at the same time...

Manimal oc: Bramble the Fairy Prince! I imagine him as some kind of DLC like Sven, Cole and the Kitsune boys. In his case, he comes with a whole new hobby (and perhaps a few careers related to that hobby): Occult Studies, which increases the Magic Stat. Curious (and somewhat offended) about Marshmallow consistently breaking the Manimal Curse, Bramble curses himself into an owl to see how you keep doing it. While he's outwardly neither rude or hostile, Bramble starts out as somewhat unsettling, with ominous observations, well-hidden anger, and a strange sense of morality that doesn't align with ours. As your relationship grows, he becomes utterly smitten, truly becoming a prince right out of a fairytale as he courts Marshmallow (although he never truly loses his faery edge).

(Fun fact: Bramble is partially based on Jareth the Goblin King from Labyrinth.)

Second Manimal oc, Zac! A recently single father of two and professional translator, he and Marshmallow would first meet through a Phone Fling (accidentally started by Zac's youngest while she was playing on his phone) where you end up cheering him up about his recent break up with the mother of his kids. They later meet in person after Zac's ex cursed him in retalation, turning him into a goose. While naturally gruff and perpetually exhausted from the strain of raising kids while working from home (and the curse), Zac makes an effort to stay polite and affable, effort which becomes less strained as your relationship with him progresses. Being older, Zac is also confident in himself and rarely embarassed, freely saying things that most would find embarassing.

(What can I say? I like dads.)

"Hope why are you making Blush Blush ocs-" Because it's the only thing that's getting me out of the art block I've been in since December. Anyways,

Fan Manimal, Jun Ru! A makeup artist that got turned into an orchid mantis, you'd meet him through a fashion show for your first line of clothes (which would be triggered by maxing out the Sew Pro career) where he's part of the team dolling the models up. Despite what his career, fashion sense, artistic eccentricities and part-time gig as an influencer would imply, Jun Ru is painfully shy and awkward, to the point where he has difficulty making eye contact for most of his route. He slowly opens up as he falls for Marshmallow, becoming more bold and affectionate (if still lowkey) in his behavior.

(Fun fact: while I was halfway through coloring him, I suddenly thought 'wait is this just yassified Kakyoin from JJBA?' Thankfully, the ressemblance faded away as I finished giving him his colors.)

I'm thinking of maybe having a gag where Renet doesn't understand why Donnie is driving himself crazy trying to understand how magic works due to it being pretty simple to her, before remembering that magic is an Aeon byproduct, and thus the scale of it is, like, 30-dimensional instead of 3.

I find it interesting that Babyfly became a baby, since baby flies are…well, maggots. Given that all the other animal mutants started as babies (the turtles and LH) part of me wonders if it’s just something about the mutagen.

Yeah, I'm gonna go with weird mutagen bs here. Superfly in the movie was already a fly as a baby, so I just did that too. Plus, the mutagen dose he got was already filtered through Stockman's blood, so he's definitely an atypical case.

Heh, amusing thing I just realized: between the hatchlings and Hiroto, we almost have the full spectrum of Hamato Rainbow Power (shields, teleportation, healing, telekinesis, clairvoyance, electrokinesis, mediumship, and compulsion). None of them have illusions or telepathy, but almost having the full spectrum is still pretty neat.

Uh! I just thought it'd be interesting to give Edgy Boi Hiroto healing powers.

And it's actually a point lilythelitten made when she gave the powers to the hatchlings! That way, the full spectrum is in the New York/Hidden City branch.
