     bring back kindness. re-ignite the old mannerisms of wanting to help each other as role players, not hunt and break each other down for the smallest of mistakes. caring is cool, and it’s time to make it a trend again.

     bring back helpfulness. aid the role players who aren’t as big as you. show support and care on your path as you, too, were that role player at some point in life. include, don’t exclude. make this hobby enjoyable again, show the newcomers that they too have a place among the veterans of this page.

     bring back patience. people will do mistakes, it’s a part of our system, but allow people to make up for what they did. allow people to grow as growing takes time and mistakes can be made up for; there are no judges here, no police, not anyone with the slightest spec of power. we are all people, and threats do not belong here.

     bring back humanity, because tumblr role playing community is running dry.

PLEASE STOP CALLING YOUR FEMALE CHARACTERS BICURIOUS

hey guys your friendly rpc lesbian jj here again with another reminder about all the ways you can stop making the rpc feel so unwelcoming to lesbian muns. On today’s edition of ‘your muse is not you’ please try not to call your female muses bicurious or straight but they kiss girls sometimes or straight because they haven’t tired it or anything like that which is basically the equivalent of putting a Katy Perry song in your lyrics. HERE’S WHY. When a lesbian mun of wlw muse sees that, what we see is “my character is straight but like i’m not repulsed by a little girl kissing maybe i’ll try it sometimes uwu” and it makes us feel like a fad or a style or a sweater that you’ll put on if the mood is right. The same goes for memes that like to classify things like “and lgbt kiss” like it’s a hat you can wear for one meme reply. If your character is bisexual, they’re bisexual. If they’re straight, they’re straight. Please be clear. PLEASE BE CLEAR. If what you want to say is ‘my character is bisexual but she’s closeted and doesn’t know it yet’ THAT’S FINE. Your character is not sentient. They won’t know if you call them bsiexual in your info. If your character is straight, please just say so. Do not put wlw muns and muses in the position of thinking you are willing to ship and then making them feel REALLY awkward when it turns out you’re not. Lesbians esecially go through enough of that in real life, of being constantly made to feel like their desires are gross, awkward, or pushy. Do not make us feel that way in the RPC. Kissing girls isn’t a fun party trick. Bicurious isn’t a sexuality. Try “bi but they don’t know that yet” or simply “straight” if that’s what you mean. I promise we won’t come hunt you down if you write a straight muse. But it’s way fucking shittier to make it seem like you’re down when you’re not. Please just be clear.

My favorite thing about the movie Happiest Season is that it shows you can be in a lesbian relationship and when a new lesbian comes into the picture, you can be friends with them and have good chemistry but not flipping cheat!!!

Neither of the main characters even came close to something considerably “wrong” or “cheating IMO. The ex boyfriend was respectful, and on his side of things Harper wasn’t dating anyone so he still maintained a distance that was kind but was curious about getting back together with her.

Riley never once indicated flirting or even jealousy while with Abby. She spoke the truth about her history with Riley but it was always respectful and never once did I see her cross that line of trying to get with Abby, regardless of how Harper treated her.

We witnessed Abby and Harper at their worst because they were in a stressful (although comical) point in their relationship that was due to the holidays, the family and the exes being present. We only got to see them at their best at the start and end of the movie. Couples fight, holidays suck, that doesn’t mean that they are bad for each other.

I think the movie did a great job showing us a normal lesbian relationship and especially did an AMAZING job showing that other people can be in your lives and you can have history or good chemistry with them and it doesn’t mean you break off your solid relationship with your GF/BF and go for them just cause you hit a rough patch.

-(And they did a great job at showing someone who was in the closet and struggling to come out)
