Are you still active?💕
Hey there!
Unfortunately things have only gotten more hectic in my personal life and writing has been pushed to the back for longer than I would have liked. I do have ideas and wips on my laptop and hopefully I’ll have something to post soon. 💕

Where’d you go imu
I miss you all too! I didn’t think I’d be so absent but the last year wasn’t the greatest. Between a couple deaths, general ill health, full time work and long bouts of writers block I haven’t been able to write or be happy with the work when I did get the chance to sit down and type.
I’m hoping to maybe get something written tomorrow so if anyone has any prompt requests please feel free to send them my way

“Why’re ya so curious about this Sumu?” Osamu asked with an irritated scowl at his twin who stood beside him. Atsumu paused surveying the filled room of past classmates to glance at his brother with a smirk. “Why’re ya bein’ so defensive about the question Samu? I tell ya everythin’ about who I see.” he retorted. “Can I not wonder if yer gonna break more hearts or reignite an old flame?” Osamu rolled his eyes at that. Honestly saying anything would only spur Atsumu on even more. This was the main reason why he hadn’t revealed the truth of his love life just yet, he could already see how Atsumu would react and honestly he wasn’t ready for that headache just yet. “Oh fuck! Is that who I think it is?!”
And just like that his twin sped off and at first Osamu let out a sigh of relief but then he tensed when caught sight of you hugging his brother with a bright, beautiful smile. When you pulled back his eye twitched to see his brother look you over shamelessly. Whatever he said made you laugh and you slowly turned to show off your figure in the outfit that only heightened your beauty. Then Atsumu said something else that made you both look his way.
The blond headed back, pulling you along with him not seeing the playful grin on your face. By the time Atsumu stopped beside Osamu again, you had composed your expression into one of polite surprise. “Osamu! It’s so nice to see you.” you grinned leaning in to hug him in a friendly embrace that he forced himself to return with the same lack of intimacy that you had. Little did Atsumu know you both had woken up together that morning and he was going to remain clueless to that fact.
“Hasn’t our little manager become a hottie Samu?” Atsumu prodded with a wicked grin, sliding a hand over your shoulder as he leant down to inform you. “Did my brother ever tell ya that he had the hugest crush on ya back in the day?” “Atsumu!” Osamu growled out in irritation while your eyes glimmered in amusement. “If I recall, a lot of the team had a crush on me.” you mused with a laugh that Atsumu joined in on. “But that’s all in the past. We all had our teenage crushes right?” Osamu smiled and began to engage in unnecessary small talk with you, pretending to catch up when he already knew what you’d been up to, the last six months specifically. Thankfully Atsumu excused himself and when you were both alone you smirked at him.
“Huge crush huh?” you repeated as you stepped closer, pulling out your phone to pretend to show your boyfriend something, finally feeling the warmth of his body radiating into your back as he leant closer to look at the photo of you both on your lockscreen. “Head over heels actually.” He replied. “Still am.” “Good, me too.”

500Event! Workplace Confession w/Akaashi
Words: 500

“Hey stranger,” Akaashi’s blue-grey eyes slid up from the book in front of him to see your smiling face greet him as you entered the staff room. The cover was obscured from the table but your eyes narrowed slightly, it wasn’t uncommon for Akaashi to bring his work into the break room. “Don’t you ever stop working to actually enjoy some time to yourself?” You asked in a mostly playful tone but you couldn’t help the slight worry that crept in.
Yes being a hard worker and loving what you did was admirable but there needed to be a balance to it all too. The last thing you wanted was for him to burn himself out. “It’s purely for enjoyment I promise.” Akaashi chuckled softly lifting the book in question to reveal the cover, his expression brightening when an excited gasp left your lips and you hurried over with your freshly poured cup of coffee in your hands. Excitedly you slid into the seat next to him and peeked at the page number he was on. The last thing you wanted was to say something that spoiled the book for him but you couldn’t help but widen your eyes to see how close to the end he was.
“When did you start this?” Akaashi watched you ask curiously with a small tilt of your head that he always found endearing. “You told me you hadn’t heard of it when I mentioned it a couple days ago.” Suddenly Akaashi felt a little bashful as he lowered his gaze briefly to the almost finished book. Truly he hadn’t fully noticed how much he’d read in such a short amount of time. “I bought it that evening.” He admitted, raising his attention back onto your face, already seeing the question forming on your lips he answered it before you could even ask. “You said it was your favourite so I wanted to see for myself.”
You found yourself staring at him trying to remain composed when your mind was racing and your heart was going even faster. No there was no way he did it for the reason you had been deep down hoping had. He was a fan of literature, it was his job too; of course he wanted to read something different that was it. You had to keep reminding yourself that the feelings you felt were completely one-sided. Slowly you took a sip of your coffee to try and regain control of your voice. “Thoughts so far?” you asked as casually as you could.
“I can see why it’s your favourite,” Akaashi complimented with a smile. “But I had one issue.” He explained as he watched you tilt your head again with interest. “The main character, how he shows his attraction to the romantic interest is a bit tactless.”
“Oh?” Unable to help yourself you bit your lower lip and asked. “How would you tactfully show your attraction for someone?”
“Well for starters I’d learn what their favourite book was.”

There’s still plenty of time to send in your requests for the 500 event guys! I should also say you don’t have to be following me to take part and request a scenario that you’d like to see, everyone is welcome ❤️
500 FOLLOWERS+EVENT
So I reached 500 without realising! Thank you all so so so much for all of your support! Never did I imagine I'd get this many followers.Thank you all for every like, reblog and comment you make on my work and I'm honestly blown away every time.
So to celebrate I am going to put some of my WIP's on hold to do 500 word fics/scenarios. So send in your requests either through my inbox or DMs and I'll take it from there.
RULES FOR THE EVENT
Specify that your request is for the 500 celebration.
Try to keep each scenario/request to just one guy. If you want the same scenario for mulitple guys then by all means send them in individually I have no problem with that.
Since this is a celebration I'd love requests to be on the fluffy side.
Apart from all that I don't think i have any other rules. I've never done an event like this before so I'm really just making it up as I go along.

Little Announcement
Depending on how this week goes guys I think my schedule might be calming down enough that I can start to post more regularly again.
My plan is to have Kita's version of Love Thy Neighbour posted before the weekend. Thank you all for your patience with my lack of activity. Hope you're all staying safe and well.
As always my dms and inbox are open if you want to send prompts and requests my way! I'm so close to 500 followers which is insane so maybe if stuff is sent in I can work it as a 500 follower event?

“Taking care of kids together” w/Bokuto, Matsukawa, and Ushijima Words:  2868 Warnings:  none

--------------
Bokuto
Tumblr media
The sound of a hurried knocking at your door made you look up from the breakfast you were cooking for you and Bokuto. He had come home late the night before after being overseas for an away game so you were trying your best to let him get as much sleep as possible. Quickly you opened the door to see your neighbour looking desperate. He explained that his wife fell after taking their oldest child to school and was on her way to the hospital with a suspected broken ankle and wanting to be with her, he had no one who could look after his daughter on such short notice. Immediately you agreed to look after the baby, lifting her into your arms when her father passed her over along with her bag of necessities.
Thankfully this was not your first time interacting with the little girl and she was content to let you carry you around the apartment, large eyes taking in all the new sights and surroundings she was in. Adjusting your hold on her so she was balanced on your hip you returned to the kitchen to finish the meal you were preparing. You couldn’t help but laugh softly when Ai began to babble excitedly and bounce in your hold, knowing what food meant. From behind you the sound of Bokuto rising got your attention. His slow, heavy shuffling drew nearer along with a long yawn. You knew this routine well enough by now that Bokuto was moving on pure instinct and muscle memory, his body pulling him toward the source of food and the warmth of your touch before he even properly woke up.
As expected his large, toned arms slipped around your waist and his face nuzzled into the crook of your neck. While another yawn rose in his chest Bokuto managed out a heavy, groggy greeting you felt the vibrations of his voice against your back as his arms tightened just a little more when you turned your head press your lips lightly against his head. “Babe…” you hummed lightly to signal you were listening, “When did we get a baby?” Glancing down you saw his golden eyes had finally cracked open and were fixed on Ai who was reaching across your chest with the intentions of snatching as much of his salt and pepper hair into her tiny fist as she could. However Bokuto was faster and diverted her attack by letting her hand take hold of his finger while you explained the situation.
You knew Bokuto was good with kids, it was a given. His whole personality just gave off the kind of vibes that people of all ages were drawn to. Every time you both went out kids would somehow work their way into his orbit, whether they were young fans or not they would just stare at him they always left with a smile on their faces. This was something different though, this wasn’t a brief hello, or passing silly face to make a kid smile. This was seeing the love of your life doing something that suited him just as much as playing volleyball; something he was made to do.
Leaning against the doorframe you watched Bokuto lounging on the sofa with Ai sitting on his chest, her back against his propped up legs with his hands in hers as her giggles filled the room. For the last twenty minutes they’d been doing this. Bokuto would slowly raise her hands higher into the air while chanting out his signature catchphrase of ‘hey hey hey!’ but always on the last hey he would pull his hands out of her grip to tickle her sides before starting over again. “She’s not going to nap if you get her hyper…” you mused playfully as you pushed away from the frame to approach the two.
At first Ai gripped Bokuto a little tighter when you moved to lift her but when she spotted the bottle in your hand she immediately betrayed your fiancé’s friendship for food. You laughed softly at his deep pout as you sat down in the armchair. While you adjusted Ai so she lay cradled against your chest while her little hands gripped the sides of her bottle, drinking happily you didn’t notice the way Bokuto stared at the scene.
You looked so perfect and content with her in your arms and he couldn’t help but imagine you holding a little one the perfect mix of you both. The thought had been in his head since that morning. In his hazy, half-asleep state seeing you cooking breakfast with a baby balanced on your hip was like something from one of his dreams finally made real. “I can’t wait to do this for real.” Bokuto spoke up in a rare moment of serious calmness. You both knew you wanted kids at some point after you were married but it seemed you both felt even more resolute in that choice after your unexpected babysitting day. With a warm smile you looked up at him.
“I know but you know it won’t always be this peaceful and easy…” you reminded softly. The realities of parenthood were nothing like how it was portrayed in tv shows and films. You wondered if Bokuto’s thoughts on the matter would have changed if Ai hadn’t been so content being in your care. Bokuto moved from the sofa to sit on the armrest of the chair you were in and settled his hand over yours as he lowered his head to kiss your temple. “I know, but we’re the best team there is. It’ll all be worth it because I’ll be doing it with you.”
Mattsun
Tumblr media
Out of everyone in the Seijoh friend group it had been a clear assumption between them all that Oikawa would be the first to have kids. It just seemed like the obvious prediction when they were younger given how he was the most popular out of the four of them. However Makki surprised everyone by being the first, making the other three uncles to his daughter. Obviously Mattsun was her favourite from the very beginning.
You arrived back at your shared apartment after buying the groceries and unlocked the door. As you headed toward the kitchen you weren’t surprised to hear the familiar giggles of Sara coming from the living room. It wasn’t rare to have the child in the house, when Makki needed a sitter you were both his first call. With a smile you poked your head into the room only for your eyes to widen and a loud laugh to burst out as you took in the sight of your boyfriend sitting at a comically tiny table with a tiara on his head and one of Sara’s princess dresses wrapped around his shoulders. Best of all he had the little girl’s dress-up makeup smeared on his face clearly done by the three year old sat across from him just as equally dressed up. “Oh honey…you look magnificent.” You breathed out with an adoring grin. Without batting an eye Mattsun adjusted his tiara and smirked at you. “Obviously, I can’t be the Queen of the tea party unless I look good.”
“Well I think it wouldn’t be a real tea party without food. How does something to eat sound?” you asked, grinning when Sara let out a cheer and bolted from her seat to race into the kitchen with you to pick what she wanted for the feast. By the time Mattsun got up from the floor and got the kitchen Sara sat on the counter eating an apple you’d cut up for her while you started to make sandwiches. At Mattsun’s approach he grinned when Sara held out an apple slice to him to share. “Thanks Princess.” He smiled, ruffling her hair the same familiar shade of his best friend’s before taking the food offered and popped one end into his mouth before leaning in close to you with a playful glint in his eyes. With an amused roll of your eyes you lifted your own uncut apple and took a bite before turning back to fixing the food for you all.
Mattsun chewed the slice and chuckled at your overly conscious decision to hold back on your usual behaviour around him when Sara was around. It wasn’t like he was expecting a full on hot and heavy make-out session with you, even he knew better than that; but still a quick kiss would be nice. Instead you kept things limited to hand holding and maybe a peck on the cheek if Sara was distracted. To be honest in those moments it felt like you were both back to acting like you were in high school again.
Although Mattsun wasn’t so easily deterred from giving you affection, not when he craved your presence. Acting as though he was inspecting your sandwich making skills he slid his hand around your waist, letting his palm settle against your hip. He felt you tense and move closer against him at the same time and he couldn’t help but find your conflicted reactions completely adorable. “She’s not gonna freak out if I kiss you, y’know.”
“I know but I might.” You teased back swiftly with a grin, reaching up with your free hand to lightly pat his makeup stained cheek. “Okay Sara, food’s ready.” You announced with a smile, lifting the girl down to take her back into the living room and sit down to eat at her tea party table. Both you and Mattsun settled yourselves on the floor while Sara climbed into her little chair and began to eat but she stopped to stare at the two of you. You both could see the wheels in her head turning as she tried to work out some sort of problem. Finally she spoke, pointing at you. “Queen! You Queen!” she declared insistently.
“You heard her,” Mattsun chuckled draping the dress that had been around his shoulders over yours and settled the tiara on your head. “Perfect, so Princess who am I going to be then?” He asked watching the little girl smile brightly. “You’re King! King and Queen!” she pointed at you again with an excited giggle. You let out a soft laugh of your own and lightly bit your lower lip, feeling Mattsun’s stare on your face.
“I like the sound of that…” Mattsun mused in a low voice, his hand settling over yours. “Say, Sara are Kings and Queens in love?” he asked and you threw him a look, knowing that playful, prodding tone all too well. With another laugh Sara nodded so Mattsun continued. “What do people do when they’re in love?”
“Kiss!” Sara’s cheer was so joyful and pure that you couldn’t help but throw your boyfriend a withering look at how easily he got the girl to start chanting ‘kiss’ over and over again all while he leant in towards you with the smuggest expression he could manage.
With a small shake of your head and smile tugging at your lips you leant in, finally kissing your boyfriend in front of the girl who let out a squeal and giggle. When you pulled back Mattsun chuckled to see the makeup had transferred and was now smeared on your face too. Lightly he ran his thumb against your cheek to rub it off. “So…would you call me crazy for saying I’d like some little Princes and Princesses of our own some day?” he asked watching you with a smile filled with love as he imagined his future with you and how bright it already seemed.
Ushijima
Tumblr media
On the court Ushijima was utterly confident in his abilities, never wavering and always assured that when he went out onto the court he was performing at the top of his game. However off the court there was one main thing that left him feeling lacking and unprepared for, children. The both of you had been married for two years and while you had spoken of the possibility of having children one day, neither of you expected it to happen so soon. However one pregnancy test and a positive result had you both now trying to adjust to the revelation of what was happening. You’d recovered from the shock quick enough; your husband however was another matter entirely and no matter how many times you tried to reassure him and talk to him he wasn’t convinced. Feeling helpless, there was only one person left to turn to for advice.
A week later Ushijima answered the knock at his door to see Tendou standing there with his four year old son Kento standing beside him and his five month old son Youta strapped to his chest. “Hey best friend! So I need a massive favour.” He explained just as you appeared by your husband’s side to see who was at the door. Your eyes widened as you met Tendou’s happy face and looked at his two sons warily. When he’d told you on the phone that he had a plan, this was not it in anyway. Dumbfounded you could only watch as Tendou explained his wife and he had to both go out of town for work and needed someone to look after the boys until tomorrow, your shock only growing when Ushijima accepted without anymore questions or suspicion.
However you noticed how he kept his focus on just Kento and let him into the house while leaving you to take the baby from Tendou so the two men could retrieve the boys’ things from the car parked outside your house. With a smile you took both of your new guests inside and let them get settled. When Tendou left you smiled sweetly to your husband and stepped towards him, eyes zeroing in on how his muscles seemed to tense and hands pulled back from his sides just a little. “Toshi, you’re going to take Youta.” You stated, you knew what he was doing and why but this was something that couldn’t be avoided and Tendou’s interference was going to make Ushijima face his fears head on. A child like Kento, grown and already enabled with the ability to communicate their wants, needs, and holding some sort of independence he could handle, a small baby on the other hand was the root of his issues.
“Love, trust me it’s going to be okay.” You spoke soothingly, passing Youta over and slowly adjusting your husband’s arms so he was holding him safely and comfortably. “Just pretend he’s volleyball?” you suggested with a smile only to laugh when he looked at you completely seriously. “I’m not going to spike a baby.” Okay that was a bad comparison you thought in hindsight but it was enough to distract Ushijima from his internal panic at holding something so soft and small. Looking down he saw Youta babbling to himself as he grabbed a fistful of his shirt and looked up at the man holding him.
With a smile and reassuring squeeze on his arm you went with Kento to play with his toys when he began to tug on your arm. Feeling uncomfortable at just standing in one place, Ushijima followed close by, needing you near to him in case he did something wrong. The four of you ended up in the back garden to enjoy the last of the afternoon sun. Settling on the grass you and Kento began to play with his superhero and villain toys and you made it a point not to observe your husband constantly, allowing him to find his feet on his own while remaining close for support. Thankfully Youta was quickly taken with the mixture of colours from the different flowers and plants around him. He began to wave his hands in their direction and Ushijima began heading in the direction of the baby’s fixation. He didn’t know why but he started to tell the baby about the different plants, he knew he was too young to understand but he seemed to like the sound of his voice from the way he kept staring up at him with bright, interested eyes that reminded him all too much of his best friend. You would often tell him you loved the sound of his voice but he just didn’t expect a baby to have a similar thought.
Glancing down at one point of his unplanned garden tour he saw that Youta was fast asleep. Unable to fight it, a small smile began to pull on his lips and he looked over to see you and Kento play animatedly on the grass. With a heroic declaration you pounced, pulling Kento onto your lap so you could defeat the evil villain with tickles. His squeals of delight filled the air, mixing with your laughter and Ushijima chuckled his own small, deep laugh that stopped when he felt Youta stir briefly in his hold. Ushijima approached you both and sat down on the grass beside you, his hand lightly rubbing your lower back as he pressed a loving kiss against your cheek. As long as he had you here to keep him grounded, he was confident that there was nothing he couldn’t accomplish.

A/N: Here’s a short one-shot fic featuring spy!Hinata that I suddenly got an idea for this morning. If you want this to get a second part featuring the actual mission let me know! **Requests are open!**
Warnings: none
Words: 1130
Other works: General Masterlist, Love Thy Neighbour Directory, Mission Database
Tumblr media
DATE: APRIL 10. 20XX
TIME: 19:45
LOCATION: TOKYO
Hinata couldn’t help but feel the giddy rush of excitement coursing through him and when it mixed in with the stirrings of nervousness he couldn’t help but fidget more than normal. He knew a lot of people wondered how someone with his personality could actually be an active field agent but when it came to the actual missions his mind would sharpen intensely. Outside of that he was his bright and cheerful self, he just couldn’t help it. Every step he took further into The Organisation’s training centre only made his heartbeat increase and smile grow wider as he drew closer. He also couldn’t deny the buzz he got when new recruits and trainee agents gawked at him in awe as he strode by; it just made him walk a little taller and with more purpose.
Following the feel of the growing vibrations he came to the room he was seeking. Without even thinking about knocking he opened the door and stepped into the large dance studio only to freeze when multiple sets of eyes all fixed on him, startled by the addition to the room. The only one who didn’t flinch was you. Instead you met his gaze in the reflection of the mirror and fought to keep your expression stoic and professional but seeing that broad, sunshine smile was so infectious it took all of your restraint but you managed to hold it back. “I didn’t say stop.” You called out, reclaiming the room immediately as you pressed a button on your remote. “Take it from the beginning. Hinata I’ll be right with you.” You explained finally offering the man a quick smile. You watched him nod and move to leave but you shook your head. “Stay. They need to get used to others without getting distracted.”
Hinata’s eyes gleamed in excitement at getting to stay and nodded while remaining with his back against the door and watched you restart the music and count the recruits into their routine. It was immediately obvious to Hinata who the newbies were. While you and the other instructors moved with fluidity and refined grace, the newer agents were still awkward and self-conscious, even more so now that Hinata’s added presence brought some new aspect of pressure to them. But it wasn’t them he was watching, his bright eyes took only you in. You always knew how to command everyone’s attention with the subtlest of movements and could practically hypnotise anyone you chose; everything you did was calculated but seemed effortless and that was what he needed, he just hoped you’d say yes. Would you say yes to him?
“Okay everyone that’s it for today. Rest up and meet back tomorrow bright and early. We’re on a tight deadline to get this right before your mission in that nightclub begins.” Your voice snapped him out of his entranced staring and he met your amused gaze, grinning broadly at you as you drew closer. While the others in the room gathered their things you finally allowed yourself to return the smile that had been fighting to be set free. Yet you still calmed his attempt at trying to pull you into a tight hug by settling your hand on his arm and making it seem as though you were directing him to the side room that acted as your office like he didn’t already know where it was. As you walked you ignored his wounded puppy dog eyes. “Remember where we are Sho.” You told him lightly as you closed the door behind you, rolling your eyes when you heard him laugh cheerfully.
“Sho is it?” he grinned brightly, unable to stay unhappy around you for long. “It was Hinata a little while ago.”
“And it’ll be Hinata again if you keep this up.” You threatened with a smirk. “So what do I owe the pleasure?”
“Oh yeah! Chairman Ukai is letting me pick my own team for my mission!” You gasped in excitement at your boyfriend’s news and decided to hug him tightly seeing as it was a special occasion. As much as you wanted to be as openly affectionate as he was in the workplace you knew you had to behave, or at least try to. “I’m so proud of you! Can you tell me what it is? Who are you going to pick?” you asked while pulling back to stare up at him brightly only for your smile to falter when you saw him fidget and scratch the back of his neck.
“Well Kageyama and Tsukishima are definitely on the mission but mostly because I know it’s going to piss them off that I’m in charge.” You bit back the urge to laugh and were about to lightly lecture him that those were the right reasons to pick people but then he spoke again. “And I need you with me too.” Anything you had been planning to say died on your tongue there and then.
“Me?” you repeated, your body tensing. “Sho, I’m flattered but-”
“Please don’t say no. This is my first mission as the lead; you’re the one I need to make it perfect. I want to share this with you. You’re the only one I can trust to pull off what I have planned!” You stared into the molten pools of brown and felt his hands encircle your waist and you felt your reluctance crumbling.
You could never say no to him when it came to the important things and this was truly at the top of the list. Biting your lower lip you nodded and grinned when he let out a cheer, lifting you into the air and spinning excitedly before peppering kisses across your face.
“Okay, okay!” you giggled leaning back while reaching up to cup his face and hold him at bay. “I’ll do it but please tell me I’m not the one that has to do the killing, you know that’s not my area.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll handle that part. Your role is much more important.” Slowly you arched an eyebrow at him and scrutinised his eager expression. “You’re going to be the greatest distraction. The target isn’t going to know what hit him until it’s too late.” Slowly you blinked and let out a laugh. You should have known that was what was going on; after all planning and executing distractions was one thing Hinata was practically unrivalled at in The Organisation. Finally you let yourself feel the same enthusiasm he was at the prospect of working together on a mission, his mission! Still you couldn’t help but feel some worry, hoping that you didn’t let him down but you quickly pushed those worries aside because with him beside you it’d work out perfectly.

THE NEW CHAPTER OF MISSION SHIELD WAS SO GOOD IM SO EXCITED ABOUT THE NEXT ‼️❤️
Thank you darling, I’m so glad you enjoyed it. It’s been a little bit of a struggle to write so I’m happy to finally have it posted. Next chapter will be the last for Shield and at the minute I’m thinking the next will either be a multi-chapter series with Matsukawa or a single one shot mission with one of the other guys 😁

“What do you want for dinner tonight?” you asked, ducking out of the way of Atsumu’s strike and responded with your own that he blocked with his forearms. “I could cook something or we could order take-out?” you suggested as you managed to knock Atsumu to the ground with a swipe of your feet. However your victory was short lived. When Atsumu caught your ankle and twisted, throwing you onto the mat and rolled so he was pinning you effectively between his body and ground. Every time you both sparred he would do this when he began to get tired, bored, or was losing.  As you grunted and struggled he added insult to injury by yawning as if it took no effort at all and let his expression turn thoughtful as he considered your question. “You’re such an asshole.” You muttered out meeting his stare challengingly, a smirk mirroring his.
“Save the pet names for when we’re out in public darlin’.” Atsumu grinned wide watching you scowl up at him and try to free your arms from under his weight. “Glad to see yer a whole lot better. Not gonna lie darlin’ ya had me worried there.” He told you with a softness that made you stop fighting against him for a moment. Slowly you smiled and nodded, you’d been concerned too but thankfully whatever sickness had overcome you was well and truly out of your system and even better Atsumu hadn’t gotten ill. The last thing either of you could have coped with was both of you unwell and unable to care for the other. What you’d gone through was awful, you wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone and definitely not Atsumu.
Your attention flickered briefly to his mouth and returned your attention to his eyes that seemed to have sharpened slightly. Given your current positions and the building intensity of your relationship given the false identities you’d taken even before you’d gotten ill it was only going to reach this point. Being honest with yourself, having Atsumu care for you and be so gentle and attentive only made the feelings you had for him grow, only now you were well enough to act on it. Leaning up you caught his lips with your own in a kiss that was just for the two of you, because you wanted to and not to convey a fake marriage. You felt Atsumu respond to the kiss by deepening it. With a grin you braced your leg and hooked the other around his waist, swiftly rolling so you were straddling his waist without breaking the kiss.
A small moan broke through your lips as Atsumu’s hand griped your thigh and the other moved against your exposed waist. Just as things were about to go any further Atsumu’s phone began to ring and it was a ringtone you both knew immediately and broke away so he could answer. “Hey there Chief.” Atsumu greeted as lightly as he could while sitting up as you sat back, balancing your weight on the balls of your feet nervously waiting for the news you were hoping for. Slowly you chewed on your bottom lip as you watched Atsumu’s expression drop into one of confusion. He got to his feet and began to pace leaving you on the floor to watch and only get to hear his side of the conversation. “No, I haven’t spoken to anyone. This ain’t my first mission Chief, I know the rules…Why are ya askin’ me this? What’s happened? Who are ya meanin’ exactly when ya ask if I’ve been in touch with anyone?” There was a heavy silence and you all but shivered as you felt the air change. You got to your feet just as Atsumu turned to look at you. “Samu?”
Atsumu walked into the kitchen over an hour later and stared at you as you slowly cut vegetables to prepare for dinner. Ever since the Chairman had called to say that Osamu went missing suddenly back in Japan he went out for a run to clear his head and come up with a plan. Thinking on it now he hadn’t said a word to you, he just left and from the way you were tensed he knew you were annoyed. “I’m going to ask you something and you better not lie to me.” you spoke up, keeping your back to him. “What are you planning?” He should have expected this and as much as he wanted to let you in on the one thought circling in his head he couldn’t do that. If he did it would only get you into trouble to.
“I’m not gonna lie to ya, but I’m not gonna tell either-” he broke off midsentence when you spun and the knife in your hand was now piercing the doorframe beside his head. Swallowing hard he glanced at the gleaming blade that had missed him on purpose and then slowly looked to see you glaring at him. “I’m not sayin’ anythin’ to protect ya here.” “I can handle myself!” you snapped, “I don’t need protecting from whatever it is you’re planning. I want to help you and I can’t do that if you keep your plan to yourself. I thought we could trust each other. Mind reading isn’t in my list of skills either so place just talk to me.” Atsumu sighed heavily, hating how you turned his own words back on him. Slowly he hung his head, refusing to look you in the eye. This was eating him up inside, the conflict of deciding between duty and family was getting too much.
“This is your brother we’re talking about, nothing else is more important than that.”  Your voice was soft but enough to break through the silence. He flinched when your hands lightly fell over his arm and cupped his cheek, urging him to look at you. “You need to find him and if that means leaving me here for a few days then so be it I understand. Forget the mission okay? Samu takes priority here.” Even though Atsumu was already planning to go, hearing you say it out loud only solidified that it was the only option. Yes it would go against everything The Organisation had taught him and yes the Chairmen would be beyond furious with him when they found out but this was what he had to do. This was his brother they were talking about, his twin! If they didn’t want him to find him they wouldn’t have contacted him in the first place.
With another deep breath he pulled back and headed upstairs to begin packing the essentials for the trip back to Japan. If that was where Osamu was last heard from it was the place he had to start his search from. When he stepped into the bedroom he paused to see his suitcase already sitting by the wall with his fake passport and a print out of a one-way ticket and boarding pass sitting on top of it. Slowly he turned to see you enter the room and offer him a tight smile. “The earliest flight I could get you is late tonight.”
“Thanks darlin’ ya didn’t have to do this though.” Atsumu said turning to face you. You shook your head gently, not needing his thanks. “We both know you’re useless at these things and as your wife I’ve got to help wherever I can right?” you joked softly before taking a breath. “Being married to you has made me soft, you know that? If you were anyone else I would’ve made you pack your own bag.” Atsumu lightly chuckled and closed the distance between you, the kiss that had been interrupted earlier returning to the forefront of his mind.
Your eyes slid closed as his calloused hands skimmed over your arm and against your neck as you felt his breath fan against your face. Unlike the heated, rushed kiss earlier, Atsumu’s behaviour was now slow and deliberate, giving you every opportunity to pull back or push him away. Instead you leaned into the touch fully, deciding that for now saying anything else wouldn’t be enough and it was better to say goodbye another way. You let your lips meet his as you pulled him close, not knowing how long he’d be gone for or what would be waiting for him when he got back to Japan in search of his brother you both seemed to want to make the best of the last couple hours together.

Atsumu stood in the private lounge of the airport quietly staring at his phone. He was doing his best to resist contacting his brother. The more he thought of Osamu’s disappearance the more it failed to make any sense. He was too good of an agent to just drop off the map without leaving some sort of message to those that would look. Secondly when the Chairman called he’d said Osamu was part of the investigation team to try and track down the person responsible for killing the maid in the hotel room.
Overhead he heard the call for his flight to start boarding. Quickly he opened his fake social media account to send you a quick message and paused when he only just spotted an announcement on Naomi’s account. In the picture she stood surrounded by the kids and her husband with a scan in her hand and the tagline ‘Finally far enough along to announce we’re adding to our numbers!’ he chuckled softly and then something occurred to him. If Naomi was pregnant then was that why she was so sick that time? She definitely wasn’t as ill as you had been and recovered so much faster. If that was the case then what was the reasonyou’re your illness? Confusion and suspicion began to creep into his mind. What was going on here? Needing answers he pulled up Osamu’s personal information and called, hoping his brother would be able to at least tell him where he was and why he went off the grid. Immediately the line was answered on the other end. “The fuck are ya doin’ callin’ me like this?” his brother’s voice hissed in annoyance. “Has livin’ as a civilian this long affected yer senses?”
“What’re ya talkin’ about? The Chief said you went missin’!” Atsumu snarled back as panic began to take hold of his already racing mind. Ignoring the airport staff he hurried out of the lounge and headed towards the exit. “He called this afternoon ta ask had I been in contact with ya, said ya just disappeared.” “No, I just left the Chairman’s office ten minutes ago to give him an update on the case. We were about to contact ya too once we investigated this lead further.” Osamu stated before his voice became serious. “Atsu…where are ya? Please tell me ya haven’t left her alone.” Atsumu cursed out loud and raced towards his car and hung up on his brother to try and call you but he only encountered the same series of beeps signalling that the call couldn’t connect because of a network issue. But was it really a network issue? As he sped back towards the house he managed to connect with his brother with no problem and caught him up on the signs he’d ignored while praying he got to you in time.
DATE: JULY 20. 20XX TIME: 00:30 LOCATION: [REDACTED]
You knew that Atsumu would be fine and you knew that you should just go to bed but your mind just wouldn’t shut off. You glanced at the time on your phone and sighed, he’d be getting ready to board by now. Anxiously you rubbed your legs and slowly began to flick through the different late-night programs on the TV in the hopes of finding a distraction until you were tired enough to consider sleeping. Just as you were about to relax a knock sounded at the front door. Slowly you rose and grabbed one of the concealed weapons hidden around the house before approaching the door.
Turning the key you positioned yourself so you were mostly hidden behind the door with the weapon tightly in your grip. Cracking open the door you froze to see the man standing in front of you. “T-Takeo? What are you doing here?” you asked. You’d worked with him for years, while he specialised in mainly the information gathering and computer side of things you had specialised on being physically involved in missions. Any time he was part of your team you could always count on his sharp mind and skills with technology to ensure things went smoothly.
“The Chairman sent me.” he explained lowly and glanced around the dark and empty neighbourhood, not wanting to discuss things out in the open. Suddenly realising you were preventing him from entering you stood back to allow him into the house before shutting and locking the door. “After he called, he was concerned what Miya would do so I was sent to ensure you were still being protected.” You lowered your weapon back onto the coffee table and looked at the man curiously. While you were happy to see a familiar face, you couldn’t help but wonder why he was sent instead of someone else. As if reading your expression Takeo let out a small shy laugh. “I suppose you wouldn’t have known but this was to be my mission originally before Miya insisted no one but him would be capable of keeping you safe.”
“I see, well I’m glad you’re here.” You said cheerfully and lightly clapped your hands. “You must be hungry after your flight here, can I get you something to eat before we solidify a cover story. The neighbours are a tad nosy so the sooner we come up with something the better.” “Sounds good.” Takeo smiled as he turned and headed into the kitchen with you following close behind. “I’ll make the tea, that way I’m somewhat useful.” He joked as you started to make a sandwich for him, listening to him move around the kitchen to make tea for you both. “So since Miya was given the role of your husband it’ll be simple for me to assume the role of your brother.” He began easily, turning only to by struck sharply against the side of the head by the stone chopping board.
You stared down at the man icily as you watched him groan in pain and struggle to push himself up to sit with his back against the cupboards. Disorientated he shakily put his hand against the head wound and pulled it back to see his fingers slick with blood. “Wh-what’re you?” he asked with a fearful edge in his voice when he saw the kitchen knife in your other hand. “The Chairman always lets us know when a new agent is coming into a mission especially as a replacement. If he had any doubts about Atsumu abandoning me I would have been notified so I didn’t unknowingly attack a fellow agent.” You began as you remained a safe distance away just in case he wasn’t as downed or scared as he was letting on. “Secondly, you have no luggage, not even a small carry on to suggest you’d flown here. Doesn’t matter if it’s a quick mission or a sudden one, we always bring a bag of the essentials, which suggests you haven’t just landed here. Thirdly, you know the layout of this house despite it supposedly being your first time here. It took us a while to get familiar yet you didn’t. Start talking or I crack your skull for good.”
Takeo stared up at you and took a few deep breaths before nodding in defeat. “Like I said, this was to be my mission before Miya butted in. Insulted me in front of the Chairman, said by sending a lowly member of the tech division to protect you it was only asking for trouble and showing just how little the Organisation valued you, said only he would be satisfactory. The Chairman agreed and I was taken off the mission and given a new one, but I had already memorised all the details. I made extra sure to remember your address specifically. So of course I hacked the network to show I was where I was meant to be and came here instead.” You stared at Takeo in disbelief, watching him slowly rise to his feet and brace his weight against the counter. Why? What sense did it make to do that? You felt a chill run up your spine as you saw the look in Takeo’s eyes harden into something sickening. “I came here to make sure you saw he couldn’t look after you properly. There’s no way he could have looked after you as well as I could. I’ve always been looking after you and you’ve never even noticed, but you notice him.” You hissed, venom dripping from his voice now as he approached you. “You should notice me for all I’ve done for you! Hell, I’ve killed for you and yet you jump into bed with him, like I’m nothing!”
“You’ve killed for me?” you whispered the shock of the statement slowing your steps. You weren’t sure what it was but something about how he was talking just made something click in your mind and slowly you shook your head, hoping it wasn’t true. “The maid?” Takeo showed no sign of denying it; in fact he stared at you with an eager smile at the prospect of you acknowledging something he’d done. “She was a civilian, innocent.” You choked out, feeling the guilt and nausea rising in your chest.
“She was despicable, nothing, a nobody!” Takeo spat. “I saw her on the camera trying on your clothes. How dare she think she was worthy of even touching your things? She had to be punished for that, don’t you see?” When Takeo reached out to touch you, you struck out again with the chopping board but he was ready. Even with him being in the tech division, he was still a trained agent and the weight of the weapon slowed the attack he could anticipate coming. He caught your wrist and aimed a syringe for your arm. With a gasp you slashed at his arm causing him to roar out and hit you across the face. Thankfully you avoided getting injected but the hit caused you to stumble back and hit your head against the counter.
Head spinning and aching you managed to race out of the kitchen and towards the study. If you could get to the laptop you could get into the network and alert the Chairman. “Now don’t be scared, I’m just going to make you fall asleep so we can get out of here without any problems. It won’t be like last time.” Takeo called after you. “I did feel guilty that you got so ill from that by the way. I’d planned for Atsumu to get it you see so that I could get you away from him.” You glanced back at the wrong time and crashed against an ornament in the hallway gasping as you felt the dull ache and warmth spreading against your side and thigh. “Oh I should say I’ve already cut off all signal from this place if you were planning on calling the Chairman.” You winced as you pulled the shard out of your leg and got to your feet to see him appear at the end of the hallway. It sickened you to see him stare at your wound with concern. “The sooner that you stop trying to run from me the easier it’ll be. I don’t want to hurt you my love but if it’s the only way to make you see sense then so be it.”
Just as Takeo was about to advance down the hallway his own phone began to chime. Slowly he reached into his pocket and looked at the screen. He felt rage building to see The Chairman trying to call him. When he rejected it, the responding message was instant. ‘The Organisation urgently requires your presence regarding the incident on May 19.’ It didn’t take a genius to work out that he’d been had and if they hadn’t contacted the others he was meant to be on mission with they would soon and realise he altered the mission briefings. He was on borrowed time now. When Takeo looked up he saw that you’d disappeared but the blood trail told him exactly where you were hiding. There wasn’t any point in holding back now, was there?
