Although Tobias met ELVA EKLAND when he was studying music in Berlin, she wasn’t enrolled in his university, nor did she have anything to do with music. The first time he met her was at a colleague’s party. One of his professor’s wore her on his arm like jewelry but they weren’t together or dating. She immediately gravitated towards him. They didn’t talk much, but she seemed to see something in Tobias most didn’t see. They didn’t see each other after that first introduction for several months until one day, after class, she showed up at his dorm’s door. She had been watching him. She wanted Tobias to invite her up to his room. Which he did. Only when she took off her clothes did he see the several bruises, scars and cigarette burns covering her pale skin. Elva asked Tobias to hit her. Anywhere but her face she said. And he did. He hit her several times. Kicked her, punched her, watched her squirming with pain on the floor of his room, struggling to catch her breath while asking for more. Throughout the night, Tobias did things to Elva most would consider TORTURE. The next morning Elva put her clothes back on and left.The masochist and the murderer never saw each other again.

EZRA BUDGE was and is Tobias’ step-brother. He was fairly liked in their neighborhood and school since he was a very empathetic and easy to get along with guy.  Ezra really was a nice fellow. His biggest dream was to become a pediatrician. And Tobias admired him greatly. He actually studied and mimicked many of the mannerisms Ezra had in an attempt to make “socializing” with other kids easier for him. But soon enough Ezra began to feel smothered having his younger step-sibling constantly following him around, copying him and his style. One day they got into a fight and Ezra accidentally broke Tobias’ wrist.A few years later, Tobias framed Ezra for molesting a neighbor’s child. There were no proof and eventually he was ruled as not guilty. But the community never really recovered. Tobias was suddenly the only “NICE” kid the Budges had and Ezra was destroyed. He’d never be able to work with children. He knew this was Tobias fault , he just knew. He moved as far away from home as possible as soon as he could. The step-brothers haven’t talked in ages.
