i love meg masters honestly one of the great supernatural characters and i'm really only focusing on her pre-s5 appearances like. the fact that she not only takes meg's name but alters her appearance, "cuts her hair and dresses her like a slut" there's something strange and cruel about it like if she wanted a pixie cut she could've possessed a girl with a pixie cut right the defilement is the point. why is she smoking cigarettes and drinking forties in sam's body? there's pleasure in the act probably, but it's about the destruction of the body more than anything. and they don't really illustrate that with possession later which is sad we really lost something.

Those were the meanest prompts you could have sent me, sorry they came in 7 working days instead of the anticipated 8 hours train ride. I couldn’t even think of trying to write mycroft canner, but thanks for the excuse to actually lay down some of the scenes from the detective noir AU that have been plaguing me since I thought about it for the first time.

Focus has built a buzzing between her eyebrows. Hunger, a burning down in her stomach. She’s been working too much. The kind of day that’s bound to end up a headache. After a few more blinks at the computer screen, she admitted defeat, but it was already too late.

There is a training room inside the Cobalt Soul headquarters, a basement that smells like dripping rain; and she has a 24/7 access to the kind of gym club where heroine addicts come try and fight off the air of starved dog the drug gives them. Any other night, she would have ended in one of the two. Switching one form of exhaustion for another.

Instead, she’s here chasing ghosts.

She hates this part of town, where her blue coat doesn’t mean shit and her training never feels enough. Public lighting has given up long ago, along with street cleaning and paving, and, technically, the police too. Rain battered broken tarmac gleams under the glow of giant neon signs, hanging from facades that tower over the neighborhood. Feels like bullies kicking the kid down after stealing his lunch. Feels like the too bright grins of bullies with 500 dollars handbags.

Technically, she should feel more at home here, in the warm, wet guts of Mudtop than in central Rexxentrum. But even with the blue coat turned over, she’s Cobalt Soul down to the bone. Eyes darting left and right. Brain taking notes. Neon light drooling all over her.

At the next dark crossing of narrow streets, something moves.
